Story
Marley is a 6 year old hound mix rescue. She has been with us since she was a young puppy and we love her dearly. We are only looking to rehome her because she has had a hard time adjusting to life with our toddler and we feel she would be happiest in a home without children. Marley is a loving, wonderful girl with a lot to offer the right person. She loves to be active and spend time outdoors; she'd walk or hike all day. She's intelligent and loves to work; she is food-motivated and wants to learn any skills you can teach her. She loves being around her people, but can also happily spend time alone in her crate when you need to go out. Although she needs to be the only pet in your home, she can get along with other dogs under the right conditions, so doggy playdates aren't totally out of the question. Marley's ideal home would be a fairly active, adult-only home without a lot of visitors and in a quiet area with a safe yard space for her to spend time in, and as an only pet.

Story
Cali is from Cape Ann Animal Aid. We wanted a companion for our other rescue- Honey. We love Cali and have found her to be very loyal / protective ( will not leave your side), affectionate- sleeps in bed with us and cuddles on the couch, curious about everything and loves to explore. She plays fetch and is past the puppy destructive stage. She prefers antlers and rubber chew toys. Cali is energetic and displays tendencies specific to her breed like herding. She is very smart and follows commands easily. She needs a lot of play time and room to run and would be best placed in a home with a dog that has similar energy or as an only with plenty of room to run / exercise. We are sad to admit that our family is not the best fit for her needs. It takes time to settle into new situations but we must face the fact that Cali does not get along with our 9 year old cat and she tends to bully our timid Honey who cannot match her energy. We are committed to finding her best home.

Story
Riley is a 1 year old lab mix adopted from a shelter. She has been with us since she was 4 months old. She is a sweet and energetic dog. We are looking to rehome her because apartment living isn’t a great fit for her. She struggles to be in a crate for longer periods of time and she can bark when she’s nervous. We’re hoping to find Rylie a home with outdoor space and lots of room to play.

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with dogs, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Meet your new friend, Lady! Lady is a sweetheart and the consummate snuggler. If you're looking for your new nap buddy, look no further than Lady. She's the perfect amount of moderate energy where she will be up for snuggles or hikes in the woods. Lady has a high prey drive and loves to hunt, so wild rabbits beware! Lady likes to chew, so she needs toys for tough chewers like antlers and bones. She doesn't quite understand the rules of "fetch," so if you throw the ball, don't ever plan to see it again. She loves to play off-leash with other dogs at the park or daycare. She's protective over food, toys and affection, so she would do best in a home where she is the only dog. She is currently housed with another dog and prefers when she is the center of attention. She'll lie at your feet and keep you company all day. Lady isn't barker and only uses her voice to signal when she's ready to come inside from playtime. She does have some anxiety, so an experienced adopter is recommended.

Story
Special girl needs a loving home! Lovey’s elderly owner became very ill and we took her in to find her a new family! Lovey is between 7-8 years old but you would never know it. She is full of life and loves to play, run and do her signature happy dance! She also has no problem hanging out and snuggling all day. She doesn’t bark much and is potty trained! At first, she can be very timid to new people, but with a gentle hand and some patience she warms up quickly and you will see this lil spark of joy come to life! Previous small breed experience would be best! She needs to be the only animal in the home as the terrier in her drives her to chase smaller animals or push away other dogs. She is a princess after all. Lovey has lost everything she has ever known and deserves a family or owner of her own who will love her.
