Story
Gizmo and Toby: a perfectly mismatched, completely inseparable duo of “brothers from other mothers” who are ready to write their next chapter—together. At 9 years young (with Gizmo proudly adding an extra 9 months of wisdom), these two Shih Tzu gentlemen are the definition of gentle, easygoing companions. After the passing of their beloved owner, they found themselves starting over, and while that kind of change isn’t easy, they’ve handled it with nothing but sweetness, resilience, and an unwavering bond with each other.Gizmo may be the smaller of the two, but he’s got just as much love packed into him. He came to us with a bit of a skin infection, and while he’s already on the mend with medication and regular spa days (yes, baths every couple days—he’s basically living at a wellness retreat), he may continue to have some ongoing skin sensitivities, likely related to allergies. Toby, his slightly bigger partner-in-crime, is right by his side through it all—equal parts cuddle buddy and moral support. When they arrived, both boys were underweight, but it didn’t take long for them to remind us how much they enjoy the simple pleasures in life—good meals, soft beds, and a game of chase-the-tennis-ball. They love going for walks together, exploring side by side like the little old men they are (but don’t tell them that—they still think they’re puppies). These boys are truly the full package: affectionate, friendly, and adaptable. They could do well in just about any home—with respectful kids, teens, other dogs, and even dog-savvy cats—so long as they get to stay together. That part isn’t negotiable. They’ve been through a lot, and their bond is their constant. If you’ve ever thought about opening your home to a pair of sweet seniors, Gizmo and Toby are here to show you just how special that kind of love can be. Twice the dogs, twice the love, and double the reason to come home smiling every day.

Story
Meet Harley — a 4-year-old Great Dane with a gentle soul and a heart as big as she is. This sweet, soft, demure girl is looking for a calmer home where she can spend her days doing what she loves most: snuggling up with her favorite people and enjoying leisurely strolls by your side. Harley is the kind of companion who brings a peaceful presence wherever she goes.Harley recently underwent her spay surgery and had a preventative gastropexy performed at the same time, a common procedure in giant breed dogs to help reduce the risk of bloat. She’s recovering beautifully and is ready to settle into her next chapter. She would do best in a home with other like-minded dogs who respect her laid-back personality — no overly pushy or chaotic canine friends for this classy lady, please. Harley may do well with dog-savvy children and could potentially live with a dog-savvy cat, provided introductions are done slowly and thoughtfully. Because of her giant breed needs, experience with Great Danes or other extra-large breeds is preferred. If you’ve been searching for a loving shadow to share your couch, your quiet walks, and your heart, Harley may just be your girl.
