Story
Emmie is a 5 ½-year-old chocolate Labrador Retriever with all the classic lab traits people love — smart, loyal, eager to please, and always ready to be part of whatever you’re doing. While she may be slightly less athletic than her sister Maisie, don’t let that fool you — Emmie still has plenty of energy and would love an active home that keeps her mind and body busy. This sweet girl loves being around people, enjoys learning new things, and would thrive with continued training and structure. She’s the kind of dog that genuinely wants to make her people happy, which makes her a wonderful candidate for someone looking for a fun, trainable companion. With summer right around the corner, Emmie is ready for walks, hikes, adventures, beach days, and maybe even trying out some dog sports or outdoor activities with her new family.Emmie can go home with another active, playful dog and would likely enjoy having a canine buddy to romp around with. She would do best in a home with older dog-savvy children due to her enthusiasm and energy level. If you’re looking for a smart, active lab who’s equal parts loving companion and adventure buddy, Emmie is ready to meet you.

Story
Meet Leila, a 5 year old Lab/Hound mix with soulful eyes and a heart that just needs a little time to shine. This sweet girl came to us alongside another dog after her owners moved out of state, and while the shelter has been a big adjustment for her, Leila is slowly showing us what a loving companion she truly is.Leila can be shy at first and appreciates patience, soft talking, and a calm approach, but once she feels safe she absolutely melts into you for snuggles and affection. She loves going for walks, enjoys the company of other dogs, and is definitely food motivated once she gets comfortable — snacks are the way to her heart. We think Leila would do best in a quieter home with older kids or teens who can respect her gentle nature. While we are unsure how she would do with cats, she may be okay with a calm, dog-savvy feline and slow proper introductions. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will reward your patience with quiet love and cuddles, Leila may just be your girl.

Story
Maisie is a 5 ½-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever who is very much not the kind of lab that wants to sleep on the couch all day. This girl is smart, goofy, energetic, and always looking for something to do. If you’ve been wanting a hiking buddy, adventure partner, or a dog to take training classes with, Maisie may be your perfect match. With summer right around the corner, Maisie is more than ready for her “hot girl summer” — long walks, hiking trails, beach days, doggy daycare, and learning new things. She’s dog friendly, loves being around people, and would thrive in an active home that can keep both her body and brain busy. She’s eager to learn, enjoys staying active, and would do great with continued training and structure. Honestly, with her drive, intelligence, and athleticism, Maisie may even have what it takes to become a great hunting companion for the right person.Maisie would do best with older dog-savvy kids due to her energy level — no infants or toddlers please. She’s looking for a home that understands that a tired dog is a happy dog and is ready to include her in all of life’s adventures.

Story
Meet Phoebe, an 8-year-old shepherd mix with soulful eyes and an even softer heart. This sweet girl has been through quite a journey recently—she came to us in need of emergency surgery for a serious uterine infection called pyometra—but handled everything like an absolute champion. Now fully recovered, Phoebe is ready to find the calm, loving home she deserves.Phoebe is the definition of a loyal companion. In her foster home, she’s become a total shadow dog, happily following her foster mom from room to room just to be close to her people. She forms deep bonds and has the sweetest submissive smile she gives when greeting her favorite humans—a little expression that’s impossible not to fall in love with. While Phoebe enjoys a quieter lifestyle these days, don’t mistake her for a couch potato. She still has plenty of pep in her step and loves long walks, exploring outside, playing with toys, and soaking up fresh air on the porch. One of her cutest quirks? She insists on sleeping with a toy tucked under her chin or cuddled in her arms every night.Phoebe is looking for an adult-only home where she can truly settle in and feel comfortable. She could potentially live with another dog after slow, thoughtful introductions—or she’d be just as happy soaking up all the love as your one and only. With proper introductions, she may also be able to coexist with a dog-savvy cat.If you’re searching for a devoted best friend who will happily join you for walks, curl up beside you for movie nights, and love you with her whole heart, Phoebe may just be the perfect addition to your family.
