Story
Dori is a pet I've had for well over a decade, who's been with me between two different moves. She's lived with several other pets during her life, including 2 cats and 2 dogs. Dori likes chasing squirrels, which are pretty common in the areas I walk her around. She also loves wearing clothing, and will enthusiastically jump into a harness. When I was a kid, I remember really liking the unique sounds she made when she yawned. Dori is about 13 years old now, but she still has energy. That said, she'll start to howl if left alone at home, and is needy about walks. She can coexist with other dogs at home, but might be apprehensive around cats or strangers. If anyone does take care of her, it's recommended that they have someone at the house capable of addressing her needs at almost all times of day.

Story
Hello potential adopters — this is a very emotional decision for our family, as we love Lola deeply. She is a beautiful, healthy three-year-old Great Pyrenees/Australian Shepherd mix. With a big heart and a big personality. Due to personal circumstances, we are no longer able to give her the space and lifestyle she truly deserves. Lola thrives in open environments where she can roam, explore, and feel purposeful, ideally a farm or a home with a large, secure fenced yard (an invisible fence will not work for her). Someone with experience with Great Pyrenees or working-breed dogs would be a wonderful match. Our priority is finding her a home filled with patience, love, and understanding. Please reach out only if you feel truly committed to welcoming Lola into your home and heart. Thank you!

We bought Sunny as a puppy when she was 9 months old. She's now 6 and a half years old. Sunny is calm, affectionate, and gentle with people and children. She is spayed female dog, house-trained, and used to indoor living. We are looking for a loving home (preferably with children) that can give her space, care, and attention.

Story
Jules is a fun loving goof ball who loves nothing more in life than chasing his orange rubber ball all day long. He is more of a people dog than a dog, dog and is soon to be 10 years old but has the energy of a 5 year old. His place as king of the household has changed with two young sisters now running around and sadly he cares so much about them that he howls/whines every time they cry. He would be much happier to have another house to himself so he can chase his ball in peace.

Story
Bertha was turned in to a rural Virginia shelter with 2 other hounds. She's 4-5 years old and weighs about 50 lbs. Bertha is sweet and a little timid in new situations. This group of hounds has been through a lot and were urgent rescues from a full shelter. They are currently boarding in Virginia to keep them safe while we arrange foster care and adoptions. She did well with kids and cats when tested at the shelter. We'll have better photos soon - we have videos to share with interested adopters. Arriving in Massachusetts Dec 6th. Story
Beauford is a sweet, active, lemon and white beagle from Virginia. He's a little guy at about 25 lbs. He loves to play and to be outside for hours of the day (if you are looking for a quiet couch potato, he is not the dog for you). He would do best with a fenced in yard with room to sniff and sing. He loves people and attention and also does well with other dogs: his foster reports there is not an aggressive bone in his body. When it is time for bed, he will sleep through the night and is largely housetrained. When Beauford arrived we noticed that he had a lump on his butt. The mass has been surgically removed and biopsied and the prognosis is good for a healthy recovery. Vets have estimated Beauford's age at 5 - 8 yrs old. His foster reports that he is like a puppy at times and full of energy. He's a joyful little Beagle who will bring you companionship and laughs. Available for visits north of Boston near southern NH.
