Hachi is a sweet, intelligent, and energetic pup who loves to play just as much as he loves to relax. He’ll be turning 4 in November and is looking for an active, loving home where he can continue to thrive. Hachi is a very affectionate dog who loves scratches, cuddles, and attention of all kinds. He gets along well with people and especially enjoys spending time with his family. Hachi is always ready for a game! He loves tug-of-war and playing fetch, so he would do best with an active family who can keep up with his playful side and give him plenty of exercise and enrichment. Hachi is also happy to relax at home. He loves having his own space and enjoys sleeping in his kennel or lounging in his favorite spot by a window. He respects furniture and house rules, is potty trained, and learns new rules quickly. He is also a smart dog who knows many basic commands but an experienced dog owner would be a great fit if there are other animals present since he is used to a single pet household!

Maggie is a 10-year-old spayed female Chinese Shar Pei mix, about 50 lbs, living with her owner in Medford, MA. She is a calm, low-energy “professional couch potato” who gets along well with dogs but has a high prey drive and is not cat-tested. Maggie is wary of strangers, especially men with beards, and can be defensive in the home, so she needs a mature, quiet household with few visitors and respected boundaries. She is fully housetrained, can stay alone for a standard workday, but has separation anxiety and is not crate trained. Maggie is older, arthritic, and takes daily medication plus an estrogen pill to prevent bedwetting. She knows several commands and enjoys slow walks, sniffing, and relaxing on the stoop. Wary of homes with children.

Luca is an 8-year-old, sweet and loving dog who has been part of our family since we adopted him at 8 months old from North Carolina. He is house-trained, healthy with no medical issues, and makes a wonderful companion as well as a great watchdog. Luca loves to cuddle, enjoys going for walks, and while he may bark when he sees other dogs, he is a loyal and affectionate boy.As our family has grown, we have come to the difficult realization that we are no longer able to give Luca the time, attention, and care he deserves. This has been an incredibly hard decision, but we want to find him a loving home where he can thrive and receive the affection he has always given us.We are committed to finding Luca the right family. If we are unable to find an adopter, we may ultimately have no choice but to surrender him to a rescue or shelter, which we hope to avoid. Our greatest wish is to see Luca placed in a safe, caring home where he can continue to be the wonderful companion he has always been.
