Story
Meet Gus! He’s a 1yr old, 50# sweetheart! Within the first 24 hours of Gus arriving, he became very attached and quickly learned my property boundaries. He doesn't roam and gets along very well with both cats and my dog. He would love another playful pup to be best friends with although he doesn’t require one. Initially, he swam in the pond but now prefers just to dip his front feet in. Gus listens well, but I rarely need to give him commands because he is always aware of where his people are and is very attentive. He loves running beside the gator and barks at strangers, which I appreciate, but he is kind and not aggressive toward anyone or anything. His appearance may be intimidating, but he's a gentle soul. Gus doesn't chew on furniture, shoes, or anything else. He is curious but doesn't cause any harm. Gus is an awesome dog—so adaptable and kind. With the constant activity around here, he just hangs out and observes. We spend a lot of time outside at my farm and he loves it. Gus is truly a wonderful companion and would make a fantastic addition to any home! His adoption fee is $400 which includes his neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and current monthly prevention. Story
Dobby is a 25#, 9-month-old sweetheart who was adopted as a puppy but recently returned due to his owner’s medical issues. He’s an affectionate, playful boy who loves his Kong and rope toys, as well as his trusty Nylabone. Squeakers, however, aren’t really his thing!   Dobby’s potty training is progressing—he’s mastered using puppy pads for peeing and is still working on getting comfortable pooping outside. He’s got great recall with his name and is eager to please, though he’s still learning his commands. He will need boundaries and consistency with training.   He’s a loyal companion and would love to always be by your side, so he may need some support with self soothing and crate training.    If you’re looking for a cuddly companion who will love you endlessly, Dobby might be the perfect fit! His adoption fee is $300 which includes his neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and current monthly prevention. Story
Meet Griff! This sweet boy has never really had a chance to just be a puppy. Just under 1 year old, he’s a little unsure of new people and environments at first. Griff is on the thin side right now (30#) but is gradually filling out with good food and care. He’s a big, goofy puppy at heart who loves to play and explore! Griff would thrive in a home with a patient family who can guide him through new experiences and help him feel secure. He’d love a new best friend—human or furry—to show him the ropes and share in his puppy adventures. If you’re ready to help Griff blossom and grow, he’ll be a loyal and fun companion!   Please note-he is a puppy and needs training. He also needs a sturdy crate because he can break out of the flimsy ones. He isn’t a fan of the crate and does prefer to be with his family. He does well on a leash and would love a good walk every day. He can jump over the gates I have if he feels he wants to follow you upstairs.  His adoption fee is $350 which includes his neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and current monthly prevention. Story
Crispin (or Crispy or “Sir”) is a 1 year old, 33# ball of sweetness. He loves to play with you and other dogs, but is still super respectful, especially to smaller dogs. He loves to go on walks and hikes and has so much energy to keep up. But he also loves to nap alongside the other dogs during the day. He is very cuddly and will love being your shadow. He does have some nervous energy: barking for a few minutes after you leave the house or close the door out of sight. But this is a lot because of his young age and not having a home to call his own. As he becomes more secure this should go away. He is currently being potty trained and is a super fast learner: it’s taken him less than a week to adapt to his new schedule! Although smart, he is a bit “derpy” but that just adds to his charm! He would be a perfect starter dog, or really for anyone who’s interested in a low maintenance and sweet companion. His adoption fee is $300 which includes his neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and current monthly prevention. Story
Meet Dani, Little Miss California is a very active pup, loves having a playmate. She is about 1-1/2 years old weighing roughly 50#. She is potty trained and crate trained. She is too active to be crated for long periods of time. She is only crated at night to sleep or when being left for short periods of time. This girl must have a 6 foot fenced in yard and a young playmate. She can easily jump 4 feet in the air. Older children only, she is too rambunctious for young children as she is still learning how to behave herself. She is very smart and therefore very trainable. She loves every dog she meets, but is very cautious of meeting people. She is a barker and barks at all new people. She is a very vocal girl. Her adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccines, microchip, up to date prevention and spay. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an adoption application on our website www.pawsandprayers.org. Her adoption fee is $250.00.  Any questions email sue@pawsandprayers.org .November 7, 2024, 1:23 pm

Story
HOLLY:  Adoption to a good home will be considered under our HOSPICE Program. We will pay for food, medical care, and any needs she may have. She would need a good home with a fenced yard and no other pets. She does not like all dogs and is not a fan of cats. She loves people. You would have a great dog that would cuddle with you with no expense You must be approved by Paws and Prayers Pet Rescue and meet some criteria regarding caring for a dog. Meet Holly! This sweet, spunky girl is ready to shower her forever family with love and affection. Holly is a 10 year-old terrier mix weighing around 50 pounds, and she's full of life! She absolutely adores her toys, playing with people and kids, and of course, cuddling up for some belly rubs. If you're looking for a dog who loves to give kisses, Holly has plenty to offer! Holly enjoys her walks, though she tends to pull a bit, so a harness would be ideal for her outdoor adventures. She has a lot of energy, loves running around the yard, and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where she can play to her heart's content. If a yard isn’t an option, an active walker would be perfect for her to burn off that extra energy. Holly is crate-trained. She’s also housebroken, making her an easy fit for a loving home. While she prefers to be the only dog in the house, she’s happiest when she's with her humans, soaking up all the attention and love. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and affectionate companion, Holly might just be the perfect match for you! If you are interested in meeting Holly, please fill out an application at www.pawsandprayers.org.
