This handsome 5-year-old Australian Shepherd is the total package — smart, loyal, and full of love! Max knows basic commands, is fully housebroken, and enjoys toys, bones, and relaxing in his crate, though he prefers to be by your side. He walks well on a leash but may pull or react when he sees other dogs. He’s played nicely with dogs before, but slow introductions work best. Max loves being with his person, whether he’s fetching a ball, getting belly rubs, or resting his head in your lap. Like most Aussies, he’s alert, aware of his surroundings, and may try to herd small children or animals. He’ll thrive in a home familiar with herding breeds and able to guide his energy in a positive way. Max needs a yard to run in or someone who is reasonably active to help him stay happy and balanced through walks, play, and mental stimulation. Adoption is $350 which includes his neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and current monthly prevention. This will allow us to pull a potential dog or puppy but you must be willing to give the animal time to decompress if you indicate this as an option. Story

If you're in the market for a dog with the most soulful, kind eyes, look no further. Sweet Meredith may look like a cute senior pup, but she's actually only 3-4 years old! This 90lb girl spent a short amount of time in a foster home, (from Cleveland City Dogs), and her foster mom said she was a bit shy of the crate, but then ended being wonderful in the home anyways and didn't need the crate. She was house trained, and potty trained, and was chill in the house and a perfect guest that loved her foster mom very much. Fast forward to her present situation. She's been in a home where things are not quite working out, and we feel it was just not the right match for Meredith! Between school and work, Meredith is needing just a bit more than what is available for her. So we are going to try to find a new forever home for her!! We do not know how she will do with cats, and proper introductions will be required if other dogs are in the home. She was being worked on with leash training in her foster home. SOPHIE: Adoption to a good home will be considered under our HOSPICE Program. We will pay for food, medical care, and any needs she may have. She would need a good home with a fenced yard and no other pets. She likes other dogs but we do not know how she feels about cats. She loves people. You would have a great dog that would cuddle with you with no expense You must be approved by Paws and Prayers Pet Rescue and meet some criteria regarding caring for a dog. Sophie is a wonderful, happy go lucky girl who is 12 years old, likes other dogs and will sit and watch TV with you. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped and about 40 to 45 pounds.
