Miss Patsy’s bio from her stay at the shelter: Miss Patsy has been a hit for various activities off-site, from hikes to exploring agility centers to hanging out at a volunteer's house. Patsy was graded as an A+ cuddle buddy, and you'll be tempted to spend all day petting her luscious rolls. She absolutely belongs stretched out on a plush spot on the couch! Patsy is also a silly, spunky, and playful gal who is full of life and entertaining charm. She enjoys her walks and play time. Patsy has also been playfully social with other dogs and she has a fun time wiggling around the yards with a favorite toy (and showing off her buns!) She's a great sport for trying out all sorts of new activities and adventures, and her earnestly enthusiastic, clumsy approach to life is sure to bring a smile to your face. When she's excited, she can get a little jumpy and exuberant and with this and her size, she would do best in a home with older kids and adults. It doesn't take her too much activity before she's ready to settle back down and snuggle. Patsy is also a smarty who knows sit and down, and she listens well. She also seems housebroken (no accidents) and rides well in the car. She definitely already has some manners down. Patsy has a lot of personality and she's ready to share it with a family. Lady Bug originally sat in a Florida shelter longer than most and was on the euthanasia list when a family stepped up to save her! Unfortunately, after her new "sister", Peanut, a Havanese became blind and deaf, she began attacking Lady Bug. Lady Bug never reacted but it has put her quality of life in a dismal position. Lady Bug's owner is being deployed and can no longer keep her. We are unsure of her with other dogs as she has only been with little Peanut. Unsure of cats but loves all humans. Her name is Charlie and she is up-to-date on her shots and heartworm. She loves people, has been around children ages 4-9, but is very energetic. Meet Pattie! 🐾 Pattie successfully completed 10 weeks of basic training at our GRC partner location! Pattie is a 1.5-year-old Border Collie mix with a playful, affectionate nature and a bright, eager-to-learn personality. She has a sweet and loving disposition, always ready to give affection to those she trusts. With patience, consistency, and persistent training, Pattie will no doubt improve her skills and become a well-mannered and devoted companion. She has so much love to give and will make a wonderful addition to a home! Although Pattie doesn't seem to mind the presence of other dogs, we feel that she would prefer to be the only dog in the home. The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs if you already have a dog.
