Story
Jax is a 9 year old pittie. He is a sweetheart who just wants love and attention. He loves new people, however he does jump when meeting them. It’s all out of love, he just doesn’t realize how big he is. I believe in a more open environment, he will be way more chill, as he is pretty calm at home day to day. He will be a great cuddle buddy! I will say he is still pretty active. A bigger, fenced in yard would be ideal for him. He hasn’t been around other pets or children, however he has never been aggressive in the past, so I don’t believe he would be bad with them. However, as I said, he can be jumpy. He is a sweet, handsome dog who just needs a good home to live the rest of his life as happily as possible! I have a big cage, toys, a bed, food, shampoo, doggie bath tub, ect. that I will provide, as well. He is not up-to-date on his vaccines, which is why I’m not asking for money. I do have his medical records, though. He is about 10 months due. Unfortunately, we need him re-homed asap.

Story
This is Ellie a sweet chihuahua dachshund I guess they call them chweenie? She has been rescued and probably needs an adult home, as she is a bit shy.I would consider her a special needs due to her introversion. She will bond with someone- most likely a single Female but it will take time. She needs some one extremely patient and willing to work with her. She has done great with housebreaking as long as she is taken out on a schedule. She is crate trained and sleeps in a crate at night. She loves to play and is active. She just came out of heat so will need to be spayed. She is currently with a fenced in back yard so that would be a plus. She will walk on a leash however. She is a small dog at about 12 pounds. Located in Cleveland Ohio area.

Story
Meet Addie!Addie is a sweet female Lab mix who currently weighs 55 pounds and will celebrate her 4th birthday on Jan 27th. She came to us as an owner surrender due to her previous owner’s health issues, and she’s now looking for a loving forever home.Addie is crate trained and housetrained, and she’s an incredibly polite girl—she even waits for her cue before eating and patiently waits to be taken outside to potty. She knows several commands, including sit, paw, stay, and stop. Addie loves to snuggle, enjoys sleeping in bed with her person, and adores ear and chin scratches. She has a medium to high energy level and enjoys quiet time, playing with toys, going on walks, and anything involving water. She is dog-friendly and will require a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs. Addie can be strong on the leash and may pull at times, so continued leash training will help her thrive. She would do best in a home with older children.Addie must have a fenced-in yard and a home with NO CATS, as she does not get along with them. She can be nervous in the shelter environment, but she warms up quickly with attention and affection.Addie is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which allows you to bring her home while she completes her remaining vetting, including microchipping, heartworm testing, and updated vaccines. She is already spayed. If you`re interested in adding Addie to your family, please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and complete our online dog adoption application. Addie’s adoption fee is $160.

Story
Meet Bonita, a sweet and silly mixed-breed girl with a heart full of love and about 44 pounds of pure joy. Estimated to be between one and two years old, Bonita was found as a stray and sadly never claimed. But her resilient, happy spirit hasn’t faded — she’s ready to bring her charm and snuggles into a new forever home. Bonita has a medium energy level and absolutely loves going for walks, though she can get a little excited and pull on the leash at times. She’s a total cannonball of affection — playful, goofy, and full of personality. Whether she’s zooming around the yard or rolling over for belly rubs, she’s always living in the moment and soaking up the love. Her love for life is truly contagious. She should be the only dog in the household. Because she can be a bit of a bowling ball when she plays, she’d do best in a home with older children. Bonita is not a match for homes with cats or small furry pets — she prefers her companions to be less... scurry. The great news is that Bonita is already house trained and crate trained, and she’s an absolute pro when it comes to snuggling. She’s available through our Foster to Adopt program, which means she can settle into your home while she completes her remaining vetting, including spay, microchip, heartworm testing, and updated vaccines. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a dog who’s equal parts joy and affection, Bonita might just be the perfect match. To learn more or to apply, please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and complete the online dog adoption application. Her adoption fee is $160.
