Story
Hi there!! Lucy is 2 yrs old. She'll be 3 on December 25th 2026. Lucy is a very sweet dog with lots of energy. The only reason I am trying to re-home her is because I can't provide the exercise/play time she needs and deserves. My health is not great. With Lucy being about 66 lbs even easier play can seem a bit rough. I also have a pug/miniature Pinscher dog and they play all the time. She has also been around cats too. Only a couple wanted to play with her and she was very gentle with them. Lucy loves kids. She'll try to initiate play but sometimes she doesn't realize he barks and hyperness can be scary to little kids. She does what I call a mouth hug some times where she gently puts her mouth around your arm. You'll end up with a very wet forearm lol. She'll also grab at your shirt or shorts especially at play. Shes a very loveable dog who loves to snuggle and be around her favorite humans.

Story
Meet Dexter — your future best friend with a soft heart and a playful spirit Dexter is a 5-year-old Swiss Mountain Dog mix (DOB 2/11/21) who beautifully blends curiosity, playfulness, and calm companionship. With his medium energy level and gentle, mild-mannered personality, he’s just as happy heading out to explore the world as he is curling up next to you for a cozy cuddle session. This sweet boy is a total lovebug—chest rubs are his absolute favorite, and he’ll happily soak up all the affection you have to give. When it’s time to play, Dexter is all in, especially if toys are involved. Tug-of-war is one of his favorite games, and he brings a fun, playful energy without ever being overwhelming.Dexter is also a smart and well-mannered gentleman. He knows commands like “sit,” “shake,” and “high five,” and if you tell him “off,” he’ll politely let go of whatever is in his mouth or hop off the furniture. He’s crate trained and reported to be housetrained, making him an easy companion to welcome into your home. He even has a bit of a foodie side—Dexter is a self-proclaimed bread connoisseur with a special love for blueberries He weighs _____ pounds and came to us as an owner surrender when his family fell on hard times. Despite the change, Dexter has remained the sweet, loving boy he’s always been. No cats for Dexter. Children 5 years and older are fine. Compatibility with other dogs is unknown. If you have a resident dog, a meet and greet must be scheduled. Dexter is already neutered and is available through our foster-to-adopt program, which allows you to bring him home while he completes his vetting with our shelter team, including vaccinations, a microchip, and heartworm testing. If you’re ready to give a kind, cuddly, toy-loving boy the fresh start he deserves, Dexter is ready to meet you. Please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and submit an online adoption application for Dexter. His adoption fee is $160.

Story
🐾 Looking for a Loving, Active Home 🐾This sweet 7-month-old Lab/Heeler mix is full of energy and personality! He absolutely loves kids and gets along great with other dogs. He’s still learning about cats and tends to chase them, so a cat-free home (or someone willing to train him) would be best.He thrives on activity running, playing, and chasing a tennis ball are his favorite things. He’s a smart, high-energy pup who would do best with someone experienced in dog training and ready to give him the time, structure, and exercise he needs.Unfortunately, my home and schedule just aren’t the right fit for his needs, and I want to make sure he gets the life he deserves. If you’re active, patient, and looking for a fun, loyal companion, he could be perfect for you ❤️Please message me for more details or to meet him!

Story
Born on a farm with a litter of 5, mother and father stayed with him and raised him. January 18th 2025 is his birthday and he was adopted 6 weeks after and joined our family involving a German Shepard and Chow. He has enough energy for his brothers and sister plus some, unfortunately with our busy life style we are unable to gift him enough excitement that he deserves. His energy is high and gusto for adventure is never satiated! He has updated records and is neutered, this young speedster needs plenty of room to run and a plenty of head pats to keep going. He loves his brothers and sisters, we've had young family members (6-12) visit and give him attention, he handled himself very well and proceeds to learn daily on how to be the best boy ever. All in all, Appa is a great dog and deserves a great home for him to thrive! We are asking for $275.00 for Appa, this comes with his collar, harness, and a leash. We hope if you have any questions to reach out and we will do our best!
