Story
Phoenix! This lovely, squishy medium sized (maybe 55 lbs) girl is around 2-3 years old. She was originally adopted from us as a puppy but returned for not getting along with the other pets in the home. Phoenix should be an only pet in her new home, but is a lovely girl willing to give you all her love. She would benefit from a diet and losing a little weight. She is a great girl who is fully housebroken (but may have a few small accidents as she gets acclimated) and crate trained. She would be fine with older, school aged children. Story
Bellows! Do you have a New Year's weight loss resolution? Want to get in shape? Bellows might just be the guy to help you out with that (or at least commiserate with you). Bellows is an approx 4 year old thick pittie mix who was originally adopted from us a few years ago, however unfortunately his family has gone through some transitions and changes and felt they could no longer give him the attention a dog needs, and as such he is back with us in search of a new beginning. Bellows has lived with a young child happily and is housebroken and crate trained, although more than anything he enjoys his own cushy chair in front of a window to people watch. He has lived with a dog in the past but we would do a dog meet to ensure it seems to be a good fit. Bellows is reportedly not good with cats, and would do best in a home without cats. Bellows is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, as well as up to date on preventatives. Interested? Please go to www.dogtownrescue.org to complete an online adoption application.

Story
Kodiak! This handsome hunk is Kodiak. He was adopted from us as a puppy about a year and a half ago and while he was well loved some major family changes (through no fault of Kodiak's) made his family decide that they were not giving him the time and attention he needs. As sad and confused as Kodiak is at losing the only family he knows he is trying really hard to put on a brave face and is now looking towards to future. He is an energetic goofball and would love an active, adventurous family. Like hiking? So does Kodiak! How about games of fetch? Kodiak is your guy! Kodiak is housebroken and crate trained, although we would expect any dog might have a few accidents while they transition ot a new home and routine. Although Kodiak is very dog friendly he is also a (large) bundle of energy and may intimidate some dogs with his....exuberance. He did happily live with another dog since puppyhood. Although he lived with a very young child he is a 60 lb freight train at times and as such will accidentally knock over little ones and would do best with older kids or an adult home. Story
Einstein! The adorable boy genius is Einstein. He is an approx 2 yr old medium sized mixed breed dog (pittie and/or some other energetic terrier mix). He joined us recently from a local shelter, so not much is known about his history, but we do know the following: - good in a crate/kennel - considers any person with food to be a friend, so it is pretty easy to introduce him to new people with a couple of treats to be his next bestie - affectionate. Enjoys snuggling with his people - dog friendly. Loves to play with canine friends Einstein is a typical young dog who would benefit from a family that will work on him with training and basic manners and keep him active. His adoption fee includes his neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchipping and heartworm testing (negative). He is also up to date on deworming and preventatives. Interested in Einstein? Story
Eggroll! This adorable delish dish is the one and only Eggroll! She is an approx 2 yr old female pittie mix with the most gorgeous light grey/brindle coloring. Eggs, as her temp foster mom likes to call her, is an energetic girl. She is sweet and absolutely loves people. She does get excited, particularly when first seeing people, and jumps quite a bit so a home without young kids that will get knocked over is probably ideal. She is also great with other dogs and could live with some canine siblings that appreciate her energy, or be your one and only. Eggs is housebroken and good in a kennel, although we would expect any dog may have a few accidents as they transition to a new routine and environment. She is a bit of a chewer so should be crated when not supervised. She is happy to follow a good treat in though. She very much appreciates running in the fenced in yard at her temporary foster home, and despite her interest in sniffing and exploring she is never too far away. She is just starting to find the joy of squeaky balls and is always ready to hop in the car for an adventure. Eggs would benefit from a family who will enjoy teaching her basic manners and impulse control. She loves both treats and to please you so training should be lots of fun. She has already mastered "sit" in her short time and we are starting to work on wait and off. She takes her treats very politely. Her adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations to date and microchipping. She will also be heartworm tested and is up to date on preventatives. Interested? Please go to www.dogtownrescue.org to complete an online adoption application for Eggroll.

Celyn

Catahoula Leopard Dog

Female, 8 mos
Hatfield, PA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with dogs, Needs special attention, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
*SPECIAL NEEDS - PLEASE READ FULL BIO* Celyn! Celyn is an approx 4-5 mth old medium sized mixed breed. We have no idea exactly what her mix is but an educated guess is there is at least some catahoula leopard mix in there. We always struggle with labeling a deaf dog as special needs because according to Celyn, and anyone who knows her, she is just a typical happy puppy. The only difference is she can't hear when a dog barks at her to play more ;) Deaf dogs are amazing creatures and are easily trained, often with things like hand signals. Obviously even more care than usual should be taken to make sure she does not accidentally get out off leash as she cannot hear you calling her back and can't hear dangers like cars coming. She may also be partially visually impaired. She does so well, it is really hard to tell! Celyn is super friendly with everyone. She loves people and she loves dogs. She will need a family willing to continue to work with her on housebreaking and basic manners. Celyn's adoption fee includes her spay, age appropriate vaccinations and microchipping. She is up to date on deworming and preventatives. Interested in Celyn? Please complete an online adoption application at www.dogtownrescue.org
