Story
Meet Indy! She is a 1year old Staffordshire/Shepherd mix, and is a lean & muscular 45-50lbs. Indy was recently diagnosed with heartworm and needs to undergo treatment, part of which is taking medication to help keep her calm. Indy is hit or miss with other dogs, and was never 100% solid with one of the dogs in the current foster home, and since being on medication she has suddenly stopped getting along with that dog. He is an older dog and Indy is becoming sporadically aggressive with him, while still getting along wonderfully with the other resident dog. Heartworm treatment isn't hard or time-consuming for the foster. She is scheduled for her first injection on July 18th, and will spend the night at the vet, and then a month later she will receive 2 injections on back to back days, also staying over at the vet. During treatment Indy needs to be kept calm. No running, no wrestling/playing with other dogs. When Indy likes a dog, she REALLY likes them, so rather than try to find a foster home with a dog she's going to want to play & run with, we're hoping to find her a dog-free foster home. This eliminates any issues with her possibly not getting along with a dog, or getting along with it too well. Indy loves to run around the large yard at her foster's home, so even though a fenced-in yard is normally a big plus, in this case since Indy isn't allowed to run and needs to remain on leash, a non-fenced yard would be perfectly fine. If the yard is fenced in, she would need to remain on a relatively short tether so she can't run/jump.

Story
Meet Tonka, a ~55 lb lovebug with gremlin ears, puppy-dog eyes, and a hilarious personality. She’s looking for a forever home with someone who will appreciate her main character energy. Tonka is crate trained and daycare approved. She loves walks (still working on leash manners), enjoys “pruning the garden” by nibbling plants as she strolls, and goes wild for playing in the garden hose spray. She’s also a professional tennis ball destroyer. When playtime ends, Tonka is a champion cuddle bug who will hog your bed, blankets, and heart. She knows “sit,” and will give you a tonka-tubby (ALL the kisses). Though she has lived with young children, their energy can be overwhelming. She has never bitten, but a home without young kids (10+ recommended) is best. 📩 Ready to meet your goofy soulmate? Tonka can’t wait.

Story
Miss Roxie is still looking for her forever home! Please share!! Roxie is a 1 year old Pittie & Catahoula Leopard Mix. Some of her many key features are her floppy ears, her chocolate brown eyes, & her white dipped feet. As a puppy she had a black coat but now her Catahoula colors are coming through as she gets older. An important thing to note about Roxie is that she requires some special care due to having only one kidney. With her prescription diet and a little extra bloodwork, Roxie will live a very happy life. Despite her condition, Roxie is a happy & energetic girl. Some of her favorite activities include learning new puzzle toys and games, getting the zoomies, and playing with her foster siblings. She is shy at first with new people so I believe she will do best with a home with adults and teenagers. Roxie could be happy as an only dog or she would love a big (dog) brother to romp with. A dog sibling her size (55 lbs) or larger would be the best fit. But if she’s the only dog in the home, I know she’d love soaking up the attention. Roxie has had one on one leash walk training and is very enthusiastic to learn. But I know she would thrive in a home with a yard or an active exercise partner for walks/runs. 🌟UPDATED PICS & BIO 🌟 🐾 Meet Ridge! 🐾 If you’re looking for a six-month-old comedian disguised as a Jack Russell/Parsons Russell mix… congratulations, you’ve found him. Ridge is funny, wiggly, people-loving, dog-adoring, and absolutely convinced every human he meets is his new best friend. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and knows all the classics: sit, down, sit, pretty, roll over, paw, and even play dead (Oscar-worthy performance every time). This little guy has a zest for life and would thrive with an active family. He loves kids too, though we think he’d do best with kiddos 8+ because his enthusiasm level is… well… elite. Ridge is a total sport star in the making—flyball? Agility? Dock diving? He’s ready to sign autographs. But don’t worry: after the zoomies, he is also a certified cuddle bug who wants nothing more than to curl up and be as close to his people as physically possible. If you want a goofy, bouncy, loving pup who will make you laugh daily and melt your heart nightly, Ridge is your guy. 💙🏡🐕 📋 Interested in adopting Ridge? Story
Meet our turkey Giblet (aka The Comeback Queen 🍑) Hi there! I’m a 10-week-old gray nugget of joy with a squishy little face that scrunches up like I just smelled something very suspicious (spoiler: it was probably me). The humans think I might be a micro bully and/or pittie/frenchie mix, which basically means I’m built like a potato with opinions. I may be small, but I already have a story. I came into rescue as an urgent medical case because—how do I put this delicately—my butthole was having a rough time. Like, trying to escape my body rough. 😬 GOOD NEWS THOUGH: I had a couple of surgical procedures, my butthole has been returned to its assigned seat, and everything back there is now fully operational. Doctors say I’m doing great, my butt agrees, and we have all decided to move on emotionally. Now that my rear end drama is behind me (literally), I’m free to focus on more important puppy things like: • Making legendary scrunch faces • Wiggling my whole body when I’m happy • Zooming like it’s my full-time job • Stealing hearts (not buttholes—those stay put now) I’m sweet, goofy, and full of puppy potential. I’ve already overcome more in my short 10 weeks than most dogs do in a lifetime, and I did it with dignity… and a cone. If you’re looking for a resilient little sidekick with a great personality, a cute squishy face, and a butt that has truly seen things, I might just be your girl. I am still working on housebreaking. I sleep in a crate and love all people and other dogs. Adopt me—my butthole and I are ready for our happily ever after. 💕🐾 Giblet's adoption fee include her spay, microchipping, and she is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations. Interested in adopting Giblet? Fill out an application at www.dogtownrescue.org. An approved application and appointment are required to meet any of our dogs. Story
Meet Twilight! This gorgeous 3-year-old Husky girl is full of spirit and ready for her next adventure—but this time, with a forever family by her side. Twilight came to us after being surrendered from a commercial breeder, where her love of freedom (and impressive ability to hop a barn half-door) proved a little too much for the setup. Classic Husky! Twilight is incredibly friendly with people and gets along well with other dogs. She walks nicely on a leash for a Husky—which is to say, she’s doing great, but a no-pull harness and some consistent training will help her shine even more. She’s getting the hang of crate and kennel time and adjusting well to life as a beloved companion. If you’re looking for an affectionate, fun-loving dog with a little mischievous sparkle in her eye, Twilight might just be your perfect match. Twilight is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccinations. Interested in adopting Twilight? Fill out an application at www.dogtownrescue.org.
