We found the sweetest dog the shelter originally call Poppy. She was thought to be 5-6 yrs old & obviously had a lot of puppies. She had been found roaming with two other beagles & probably was a hunting dog. SHE LOVES MEN & TRUCKS & RIDING THE CAR. There was just something about her, i fell in love.She was on stray hold so we waited.. I kept checking on her. We found out that she was heartworm positive. The shelter agreed to pay for her treatment. I thought, she is sick & so am I, we will heal together & that is what we have been doing. She is good now but it was brutal, 1 month of antibiotics, 3 x put to sleep having injections deep into her spine, steroids, pain meds, keeping her calm. It is over now, she is such a survivor!Sweet pea is a calm dog who loves her belly rubbed. She is not a barker. She loves to sniff outside. Our hope is that she could have yard & a loving younger family. Or if older, someone who needs a companion but still able to walk with her. We are in our 70's.

Story

Coco is a sweet girl that we rescued 3 years ago, we took her in from an elderly neighbor who could no longer care for her. She loves people and other dogs, and she loves being active! We love Coco and all of her quirks (she loves to talk and make “husky” noises!) but she has strong husky instincts as well, including some resource guarding of food and stuffed toys. When adults are in the room, she keeps her resources guarding in check, but if left unsupervised she can sometimes snap at another dog or small child who doesn’t respect her space. The reason we are rehoming is because we are expecting a baby in November and want to make sure both Coco and the baby are protected and respected and don’t want to risk an accident. We would like someone with experience with Huskies and/or resource guarding to take her in, preferably in a home without small children. The rehoming fee is just to make sure someone is dedicated to loving and caring for her like we have. She is a good girl!

I’m a vivacious and playful girl who has good energy and loves going on runs, long hikes, and is always ready for the next adventure. I’m house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. I’m spayed, vaccinated, and heartworm negative, so I’m healthy and happy. I’m great with humans of all ages, but I prefer to be the only dog in the home so that all the attention is on me. I love to be spoiled rotten and constantly showered with affection. I’m a special girl who has a lot of sass inside my compact little body. I’m happy doing whatever my humans are doing and always want to be a part of the action. I have a strong prey drive, so no small animals for me and a 6 ft fence or apartment life is a must. Hi, I’m Jericho—a 3‑year‑old, 54‑pound tan pit bull with a big heart, a quiet nature, and a whole lot of potential in the right hands. I’m neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and crate trained. I’m the kind of dog who will even put myself to bed if you leave my kennel door open. I’m gentle in spirit, and I don’t bark at all—people say it’s one of my best qualities. I’m great with children, but only older ones—kids 5 and up. Small children and toddlers scare me, and when I’m afraid, I could react. I’m also good with other dogs. I have been cat tested, and I’m a little too curious for comfort, so a home with cats is not recommended. I’ve completed a four‑week training program, and my foster has continued working closely with my trainer. I’ve learned a lot, but I still need someone who knows what they’re doing. I am not a dog for a first‑time dog owner. I need an adopter with real dog experience—someone confident, consistent, and committed to following through on the training I’ve already started. I can be pushy, mouthy, and I’ll jump up on you if you let me. I don’t have door manners yet, and I’ll try to shove my way through if I’m excited. But with structure, I respond beautifully. I’m smart, eager, and I thrive when someone shows me what to do. I love exercise—walks, hikes, puzzle toys, anything that works my brain and body. I’m also a power chewer, so I’ll need plenty of sturdy toys. Nylabones are my absolute favorite. I’m currently in Waterloo, SC, but I can be transported out of state for the right home.
