Story
Meet Dexter, a very personable gentleman. He is very, very sweet and loves to go for rides and is used to being on-the-go. He is the type of dog you can take anywhere. He LOVES to cuddle and be in bed with you. He is very well mannered, would never steal food off the counters and doesn’t beg. He is extremely well potty trained and loves to lay around for the most part, but also enjoys walks and would benefit from at least one walk most days. He doesn’t get along well with all male dogs his size, but is very gentle with smaller dogs or female dogs. He is great with kids and grew up around cats. His mommy just had a newborn baby and is staying in a home with larger male dogs so she can’t keep him anymore, and is very sad because she loves him so much. He would be best suited in a home where he is the only big dog.

Story
Maggie is an extremely sweet and loving dog. She does great with kids and loves to play fetch, we have two cats and she occasionally tries to chase them. She would never hurt them, or actually be able to catch them. Unfortunately our new baby has severe eczema and sensitive skin issues, so we decided to make Maggie and outside pet only due to the dander causing our baby problems. Our backyard is not small, but not big enough for a dog her size along with her breed. She does need more time and attention we can give to her since having a new baby. It is with a heavy heart that we feel we are not giving her the best life and attention she deserves. We feel as if someone else will be able to attend to her better, like playing with her more and taking her on daily walks. Her nose is very impressive! She loves to play "find it", where we hide something in the backyard after she sniffs it and then finds it.. Every. Single. Time. This is one of the hardest decisions we have made as a family.

Story
Our family adopted Kiba about 3 years ago. Sense then Kiba has been a great part of the family! She is one of the best dogs I have ever owned. Unfortunately, we now have a newborn which has made having a dog in the house more problematic. Kiba is great with our kids, including our newborn. We walk her regularly. We have not visited many dog parks, but we do leave Kiba in a boarding kennel where she plays with many other dogs. We have never gotten a bad report from any of the kennels we have used. Kiba is crate trained and we usually leave her in her crate at night and when we are away from the house. Despite being a Husky, Kiba is a very quiet dog. She doesn’t respond loudly to other dogs or people. Kiba is also good about not jumping on people when first meeting them. She is relatively easy to walk. The only issues are small animals and other dogs. It is not a big problem, and I use an easy walking harness to make controlling her even easier. I have never seen her with cats.

Berkeley is a 7 year old Cane Corso mix. She has been with us for way too long. Due to an injury to her eye she needs to be an only pet. She is good with kids and people, knows general obedience, and thrives with structure. She loves to play and have zoomies even in her older age. She loves to go on walks or just cuddle at your feet with a good bone. Berkeley is house trained, and crate trained. She has done well in a structured foster home with expectations and accountability.
