Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.Sweet Timid Jack Russell/Corgi Seeks Tender-Hearted Mama Toby is an adorable young 20 lb fella with the adventurous spirit and intelligence of a Jack Russell or Corgi. He just lacks their bravery when it comes to people, especially men. Toby can warm up to a gentle and patient woman in just a day, then reward you with forever unconditional love. He’s also more than happy to share his home with dogs, as they offer company, reassurance, and play dates. Could you find a warm place in your heart and home for this special little lad? Toby's ideal home would be with somewhat active (daily walker), adult female(s), an escape-proof set-up, and experience with shy/fearful dogs. Unfortunately, he is too much of a flight risk to go to a high-traffic home or one with children. Age: 2-3 yrs Weight: 20 lbs Temperament: Good with dogs and best suited for adult, female home Training: Housetrained, Crate-trained, Walks Nicely on Leash  Vetting: Spay/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative Email for questions: jamie@doggieharmony.org To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $350; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.March 7, 2026, 5:36 pm

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.Meet Chop — a sweet, goofy boy with a big heart and an even bigger love for life. Chop entered Gwinnett Co shelter in early 2026 after his family was evicted and he was left behind in their former home. They never came to reclaim him, and he spent a few months at the shelter before entering our foster system. However, you would never know that anything bad had ever happened to his sweet, happy boy! Chop has proved to be very adaptable to new situations, and instantly befriends everyone he meets. He has a very gentle, friendly disposition and just wants to be where his people are.  Chop is around 3-5 years old, and while he was a bit underweight at the shelter, he quicky got up to his ideal weight of 56 pounds in foster care. He seems like a bit of a simpleton on account of his goofy smile, but he picked up on basic commands very quickly and has done great with his crate training. This happy guy gets along well with other dogs and has a gentle, easygoing temperament. He is a bit of a velcro dog, and loves affection. While he hasn’t spent much time with kids that we know of, he shows no signs of reactivity or resource guarding and has a naturally soft, submissive personality that suggests he would do well in a family home. However, Chop does seem overly interested in cats and other small animals so he should not live in a home with them -  he becomes very focused and will chase if they run.  Chop is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and on prevention. He is ready for a home where he can just be part of the action, continue to learn and finally settle into the love and stability he deserves.  Questions about Chop? ali@doggieharmony.org Interested adopters can apply here: www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption Once an online match is made, caretakers will arrange a preliminary home visit.June 17, 2026, 2:25 pm

Story
Active family dogMeet Hudson! Hudson is affectionate, snuggly, friendly, and loyal—but the trait that really defines him is his intelligence. This boy is what we like to call “doggie Ivy League material.” He’s a quick learner who absolutely thrives when his brain is working. He lights up for training, loves learning new tricks, and would be a fantastic match for someone interested in continued training, agility, or enrichment games. We suspect some working breed in his background, and it shows in his focus, drive, and strong desire to bond with his people. Quick facts: 3 years old, 65 lbs Neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative & on prevention House trained & crate trained Good with other dogs Good with older, respectful kids Knows several basic commands Highly trainable and food/engagement motivated Hudson’s ideal home is an active, engaged one—where learning new skills is part of everyday life. He’s not just looking for a home, but a teammate who enjoys working with a smart, eager dog as much as they enjoy couch cuddles. He’s wonderful with people he knows and bonds deeply once he connects. Equal parts brain and heart, Hudson is happiest when he has both mental challenges and close companionship. Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.Quiet, loyal companion, seeks same Meet Regon — a gentle soul with unforgettable eyes and an even softer heart. Regon is a stunning 6-year-old, 55-pound boy with eye-catching reddish-brown and white coloring, a fluffy curled tail, and striking mismatched eyes that make him truly one of a kind. But it’s his calm, loving nature that makes him impossible not to adore.  This sweet, gentle boy thrives on affection and enjoys nothing more than being close to his people. He’s easygoing and well-mannered — housetrained, crate trained, and walks nicely on leash. Regon also loves his soft toys and can often be found carrying one of his favorites around the house like a treasured companion. Regon is tolerant of other calm, easygoing dogs but prefers peaceful interactions over rough play. He would do best in a quieter home, as loud noises and storms can make him nervous. What he truly wants is a calm, loving environment, a cozy place to relax, and a person who will cherish him. Neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative, Regon is ready to be someone’s loyal, steady best friend.
