Story
Ollie is a lovely companion looking for a family / owner who loves couch and lazy time as much as him! Although he prefers the indoors he enjoys swimming, playing catch, and walks. He is house trained and grew up in an apartment so he is trained to behave inside when left alone. He is gentle, sweet, and loves people. He has also been around cats and dogs. He is 7 so he enjoys being active but will tire out with lots of running! Hoping to find him a good loving home, and willing to continue paying for his food subscription.

Story
Clara was impounded as a stray. She takes a little bit to warm up to strangers but will melt in your lap after she gets to know you. She is full grown at this point and is healthy. Walks decently well on a leash. No known medical issues.NOTE: The shelter's budget does NOT cover vet exams for these animals. We recommend that each adopted animal get a complete Veterinary exam (including fecal), within about a week of adoption. August 25, 2024, 12:11 am

Story
Pastel is all brindle, with white stripe down her face, She grew up with a rescue cat and many other dogs of all ages!. She will sit, lay down, walk on leash, and is treadmill trained. She loves to give hugs with her huge paws. She listens well, and I have seen and been told by trainers, she is the smartest dog of her litter. She takes time to get to know you, she is curious, and often seems worried. We are working on her confidence around the loud weird noises of the world; for weeks she hated to walk near the train, but is doing better. She is slow to get to know you... unless she loves you and it all comes naturally with no reason. She needs extra time to potty and to not be rushed. She will not come quickly to someone she doesn&#39t know, so extra time is needed to fall in love, but the love comes fast with the right leader. She sleeps still and with a group of dogs cuddling next to you in bed and is quiet - hardly making a peep. She does well with all ages of dogs and cats. I would trust her with all animals. This sweet, young 40 (ish) pound pup is a pleasure to be around and with the right leader listens so well. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Pastel is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.June 3, 2025, 3:59 pm

Story
Romeo is a one year old Great Pyrenees/Heeler mix. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations. Also on heart worm prevention. He is about 69 lbs. He is very loving playful pup. Loves to fetch and play ball. Also loves treats. Knows basic commands and listens well. He is great with adults and older kids. Not comfortable around small children. He is rather protective and is a concern I do have with him. With training he would be a great service dog or great for a healing veteran. I feel he will need someone with experience could really make his potential. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip.
