Story
I acquired Loki because he was abandoned when he was a puppy. He has mostly lived in apartments and when we finally moved into a house, he still preferred to be indoors. He has never chewed items out of boredom. We only have to put food away as he is very food driven when it comes to training. He doesn't care for balls, but he loves ropes, squeaky toys or bones. He needs to go to a home with older kids as he has been very nervous around smaller kids since my son was born. Loki does not like his nails trimmed so to counter that, we get about 4 miles of exercise. He can still be very relaxed and lazy without the exercise. I just need his nails trimmed so we go outside.

Story
Hi. This little pups name is Shadow. She is a sweetheart. She loves to cuddle. She is currently 8 months old. She is in the process of being house trained. She hasnt had any accidents in 2 months. She is trained to go outside to relieve herself. She gets along well with everyone, but she is very shy. She is ok around people, but when its time to explore, she looks to me for reassurance. We are currently leash training, but in the meantime, when I go outside, she follows me off the leash wherever I go. She never took off running to catch a squirl. She is a pup who will be your best friend, to someone who is gentle and has patience. She sleeps on her bed at night and while Im away, she stays in her play pen. She is not yet spayed and she is up to date on her shots.

Story
Clara was impounded as a stray. She takes a little bit to warm up to strangers but will melt in your lap after she gets to know you. She is full grown at this point and is healthy. Walks decently well on a leash. No known medical issues.NOTE: The shelter's budget does NOT cover vet exams for these animals. We recommend that each adopted animal get a complete Veterinary exam (including fecal), within about a week of adoption. April 10, 2024, 12:02 am

Story
Hey there, I'm Blu! Picture a fluffy, tan-colored pup with one brown eye and one dazzling blue eye-that's me! I'm medium-sized and oh-so-adorable, if I do say so myself. At first, I might seem a bit shy, but don't let that fool you. Once I get to know you, I come out of my shell pretty quickly. I tend to warm up to women faster, but with a little patience and kindness, I'll be your best friend in no time! Leashes? Yeah, I'm still getting used to those. That's why walking me on a harness works best-I'm still a bit hesitant, you see. But once I'm comfortable around you, get ready for some serious cuddle sessions! I'm a love bug at heart and absolutely adore giving and receiving hugs. I also will even sometimes get really excited and will roll over for belly rubs (but only with my bestest friends)! I'm a playful pup who loves nothing more than running around outside and showing off my speed. A house with a fenced-in backyard is the perfect place for me to stretch my legs and let loose! I'm looking for a loving family who understands that I might need a little time to come out of my shell. With a fenced-in backyard and plenty of toys to keep me entertained, I'll be one happy pup. And trust me, you won't be able to resist my adorable face! So, are you ready to welcome a sweet and playful pup like me into your home? Let's meet up and see if we're a match made in doggy heaven!

Story
Hi, my name is Maggie Mae. I am a beautiful, happy, soft and sometimes shy girl that may take a minute to warm up to you. I usually feel more comfortable around women, but there are a few men that I absolutely adore. I love pets, hugs and kisses from the people that I'm comfortable around. I love my stuffed animals and I am the only one in this whole shelter who doesn't destroy toys! Walks are nice and I do really well on my leash. Sometimes I like to carry my stuffies in my mouth on walks with me. Have I mentioned that I really like treats, who doesn't right Sometimes they ask me to sit and then I get a treat. I am a pro at this and I bet I could be trained to do a lot of things with treats. I like almost every dog that I meet and most of them seem to like me as well. I love to run and be chased and I can play pretty rough with the dogs that like to play that way. I also love water! I love to chase the water in the hose and I like little swimming pools. Sometimes when I play hard with my friends at the shelter, I get a little muddy or grass stained and they give me a bath, it's like being at the spa. I just stand there and enjoy all the attention. NOTES ON MAGGIE: She is an amazing dog, but she could use some support and training. In a previous home she was a little protective of the female in the home. Ideally she might do best in a home with females. But, we think she can overcome this behavior, she just hasn't been given a chance to adjust to a different living environment

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hello there, my name is Wilma, and I'm a beautiful 2-year-old spayed American Pitbull Terrier with a stunning seal-colored coat that blends shades of black and brown. I may come off as a little shy at first, but don't let that fool you. Once I get to know you, I absolutely adore cuddles, hugs, and those irresistible back scratches. Exploring the great outdoors is one of my favorite activities. There's something about taking leisurely walks that just fills me with joy. While I'm less anxious on a leash, I've heard that a harness could be even better for me, offering more comfort and security as I embark on my adventures. When it's time to settle down, I'm as quiet as can be in my kennel, patiently waiting for our next activity or cuddle session. As for making furry friends, I haven't had the chance to mingle with other dogs yet, so I'm like a blank canvas, ready to see how I fit in with potential siblings. A met and greet is required if you have other dogs in the home. If you're looking for a loyal companion who enjoys the simple pleasures of life, then look no further. I promise to fill your days with gentle affection and shared adventures. Let's discover the beauty of the world together, one step, one hug, and one back scratch at a time.
