Hi there! I'm Bark Twain, a 5 year old Mixed Breed who is looking for a fresh start and partner to help me write down my happy tails. I am super handsome, super loving, and really ready to make someone happy. I am an active fella, who would love to have a buddy to go to the park with, to go hiking or fishing with, or to even just hang out in the backyard with. I am a fetch machine and love to play, play, play. When I'm not playing, I love tummy rubbins and learning new tricks. I am food motivated and enjoy learning new things, so I pick up on new commands quickly; I am really eager to make my people happy!
I am a total ham and love any attention that I can get, so people of all ages are a-okay by me! Other than being just a smidge bouncy, I should be just fine with kiddos, if you are willing to make sure that I learn not to bounce on them! With other dogs, I'm kind of hit or miss, but no one is friends with everyone, right? I adore one of the girly dogs in my foster home and may be able to live with another calm, female companion. I would also be just fine being your only child and center of attention.
The most remarkable thing about me is the size of my heart and my ability to devote myself to the people I love. You can count on me to snuggle you when you are sad and play with you when you are happy. I will be your loyal companion for life!
Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
