Story
Jax is a five year old, purebred, golden retriever. He is house trained, and currently lives on a 10 acre farm. He is known to roam and leave home, so leash walking, or a fence would be ideal. He is not the best with strange dogs, and can be territorial. The main reason we are rehoming is due to the fact that he kills our other farm animals. He is a bird dog, so it is not surprising that he likes to eat our chickens. He does “okay” with our four year old, but is definitely a little rough by bumping him over at times. We recently had another baby, and feel as if Jax needs more attention, and a where he will not kill chickens. The only reason for the rehoming fee is to make sure that he goes to a good home.

Story
Meet Eragon! This tiger-striped low rider is a bundle of fun! He may be a little reserved at first, but once he warms up to you, he is very friendly and wants all the love...seriously, all the love - kisses, hugs, cuddles, the works! So stop what you're doing right now, and come pick up this lovable hunk today! He just wants to snuggle with you on your couch and chill. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Since being with us for more than 6 months, we consider him one of our Lonely Hearts which makes his adoption fee only $20. Here is what our amazing volunteers have had to say recently during an outing with Eragon:"How much would you pay for a gorgeous dog with impeccable manners? How about $20? With his rugged good looks, we thought Eragon might enjoy romping with the rowdy crowd in the play park. Nah, he politely watched from the sidelines and asked if any sweet ladies might appreciate an escort for a walk in the woods. We set him up on a hiking date with a beagle & he was the perfect gentleman. Eragon knows human etiquette also - he offers hugs & kisses but only if people want them. This brindle low rider is all ready to be your new best friend!" Primary Color: Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 51 Age: 4yrs 2mths 1wks

Story
Meet Burly! What a sweet boy! He is a large, goofy guy who loves walks and attention. Despite being so big and strong, he is surprisingly gentle taking treats. Once his nose hits the ground he is on the move. He loves new smells and places to explore. He will happily return to you for treats. Burly would love a fenced-in yard or frequent leash walks for exercise and enrichment.Burly is a big, happy dude who loves to have fun! He loves to run and play with toys. He knows how to sit, and would love to learn some more tricks and manners. Burly is eager to please, especially if it involves cookies. He just wants a person and home to call his own. He has so much love to give. He's just waiting for his second chance. Call about this lovable guy today! We have noticed that Burly likes cats a little too much (will chase them), so we recommend he go into a home with none. He is curious but scared of chickens. Burly has done well with playing after very long and slow introductions. He can be unsure of new dogs, and needs to go at his pace. He doesn't like to share food or water bowls with other dogs. So altogether I wouldn't suggest he live with another dog, unless the family is prepared to manage and help him in sharing situations. He is current on all his age-appropriate vaccines, and preventatives, microchipped and neutered. Since being with us for more than 6 months, we consider him one our Lonely Hearts which makes his adoption fee only $20. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 65.5 Age: 6yrs 1mths 3wks

Story
Meet Flower! This lovely lady has won over our staff and volunteers with her sweet and lovable personality. Flower loves going for sniffy walks with her friends. She is a fan of every kind of treat, and will wait patiently for them. Flower is quick and eager to learn new tricks. She will happily perform a sit and clean up any crumbs left on the floor. She has lived with and done well with kids 6 and 8 years old. She is very housetrained. She had a complicated relationship with her former canine sibling, so we are unsure how she will do with other dogs. We'd be happy to do an introduction here at the shelter. Like most of us, Flower doesn't like being barked at. Who can blame her... she's frustrated and stressed out by her loud kennel neighbors. She would love a home to decompress in and blossom into her full potential. If you have a little extra love to give, please come give this girl a well-deserved break.Vaccinated and updated on preventatives, micro-chipped and spayed. Since being with us for more than 6 months, we consider her one of our Lonely Hearts which makes her adoption fee only $20. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 48 Age: 4yrs 4mths 2wks

Story
Meet Mickey! This big baby is a total love bug. He has won over the hearts of the staff and volunteers with his sweet nature. He is a little reserved around new people. He quickly opens up on long leisurely walks, and a couple of treats are always helpful. This guy is a little hard of hearing sometimes, so he won't have to cover his ears when you sing loudly off-key. However, he can hear a bag of treats being opened. Maybe it's selective... ;)Mickey is waiting for his forever home. Mickey was surrendered to the shelter because his former owners could not afford his health care. He walks well on a leash. He is shy so, because of this, we recommend no younger children. He has not shown well with cats here at the shelter, so we recommend he not go to a home with cats. Mickey is microchipped, neutered, and up to date on all his age-appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Since being with us for more than 6 months, we consider him one our Lonely Hearts which makes his adoption fee only $20. Meet Boston! We are shocked that this special guy is still here. Boston is adorable, tons of fun, and super friendly. He would love someone who enjoys outdoor activities and playing with toys. He happily sits for treats and is eager to please so he'll quickly learn new tricks and manners. He cannot wait to find his forever family. Boston is wiggling in his boots waiting for you to come pick him up. Please stop by today to meet our guy Boston! He came to our shelter as a stray, so we do not have any prior background information on him. He hasn't shown well with chickens and cats, so we recommend that he not go to a home with any. Currently up to date on all his age-appropriate vaccines, and preventatives, microchipped, and neutered. Since being with us for more than 6 months, we consider him one of our Lonely Hearts which makes his adoption fee only $20. Boston: is unsure with new dogs, but warms up after some time. Boston does best with slow introductions one-on-one, and can play with his friends individually. Once he has warmed up to another dog, he likes to play rough and wrestle.
