Story
Hi there - I'm Wendel! I came to the shelter as a stray alongside my sister, Bella. We've been through a lot together, and while we'd certainly love to stay together if the right home came along, we are also able to go our separate ways and find our own adoptive families. I'll admit, I can be the quieter one at first. New situations sometimes make me a little shy, and I may need a bit of time to feel comfortable. Once I realize everything is okay, though, my sweet and affectionate side really shines through. I enjoy being close to my people and happily soak up attention once I've settled in. I have a little more energy than some dogs, but it's nothing overwhelming. I enjoy a nice walk or a bit of playtime, followed by relaxing and spending quiet time with my humans. I'm a nice balance of playful and calm, making me a great companion for a home that enjoys both activity and downtime. Here at the shelter, I don't seem overly interested in the other dogs around me and tend to keep to myself, but I would likely enjoy having a doggy friend in my home in the future with slow, proper introductions. I would also do best in a home with respectful kids who understand giving me space and won't be too grabby or in my face. If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who just needs a little time to warm up before showing his loving personality, I might be the perfect fit for your home. I'd love the chance to meet you and start my next chapter! Primary Color: Tri Color Weight: 38.2 Age: 1yrs 6mths 3wks

Story
Hi, I'm Rider. I came to the shelter as a stray, and at first the world felt pretty overwhelming. New places and new people can be scary for a little guy like me, but once I see the same friendly faces each day, I start to relax and show who I really am. I can be a bit sensitive with certain handling, so I appreciate being listened to and given space when I need it, but when I know you're safe, I lean in close, nuzzle up, and soak up all the affection I can get. I would do well with respectful children who understand my boundaries, and I don't seem to mind other dogs, so I could potentially share my home with a canine friend. Shelter life is a lot for me, and I'd love a calm, patient home where I can continue to build confidence and feel secure! Think you could be the one to make me feel safe again? I would love to meet you! Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 27.8 Age: 2yrs 7mths 2wks

Story
Hi, I'm Chunk! I came to the shelter as a stray, but I've never let that slow me down. I love with my whole body and my favorite place to be is right next to my people - sometimes very close. I'm full of enthusiasm and happiness, and I'm not shy about showing it! I'm playful, affectionate, and honestly just a whole lot of fun to be around. I'm also an energetic girl who will need regular exercise and active time to help me be my best self. I would do best with children who can handle my energy and don't mind a little jumpiness while I'm expressing my excitement. I think I would prefer to be your one-and-only animal though - I like having all the love to myself. Honestly, I'm all you're gonna need! If you're looking for a joyful, people-loving companion who will fill your home with laughter, wiggles, and nonstop affection, I might be your girl! *Chunk is currently in a wonderful foster home! Please ask to meet with Chunk today! Primary Color: Grey Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 64 Age: 3yrs 5mths 1wks

Story
Hi, I'm Calypso! I've found myself in and out of the shelter a few times through no fault of my own, and somehow I've become the queen of being overlooked, though we're not quite sure why. I'm incredibly loving, well mannered, and ready for a home that sees just how special I am. I've been successfully introduced to other dogs and could live with the right canine companion in the future. I'm wonderfully gentle and sweet with kids of all ages, making me a great fit for a variety of families. I can be playful and energetic when the mood strikes, but I'm just as happy curling up for some serious cuddle time. I'm fairly independent and like to take my time checking things out, soaking in my surroundings before jumping right in. If you're looking for a balanced, affectionate companion who's been patiently waiting for her chance, I might just be your perfect match! Story
Hi, I'm Gwen! I came to the shelter as a stray, but you'd never know it by my spirit! I'm spunky, energetic, and a true lover of life! I'm always ready to go, so I'd thrive in an active home with children who can handle my energy and occasional jumpiness! I would do well with another friendly dog companion to play and burn off energy with, but I'm looking for a cat-free home. Since arriving at the shelter, I've come a long way with my manners, and that progress really shows my potential to keep learning new things with guidance and consistency. I truly deserve the chance to get out of the shelter and show my full potential - someone just needs to give me that chance. Once I've had a chance to get my energy out, I turn into a total cuddle bug who loves to relax close to her people. If you're looking for a fun, outgoing dog who is equal parts adventure buddy and snuggle partner, I could be the one for you! *Gwen is currently in a wonderful foster home! Please ask to meet with Gwen today! Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 65.6 Age: 5yrs 4mths 0wks

Story
Hi - I’m Stoney! Life has been a little confusing lately. I came to the shelter as a stray, and I’m still figuring out this whole new routine and environment. New places and new situations can make me feel pretty timid at first, so I may need a little extra time and patience while I learn that I’m safe. Once I start to feel comfortable, though, you’ll notice the little ways I show my affection. I’m not the over-the-top, jump-all-over-you kind of guy — I’m more about quiet companionship, gentle closeness, and being near my person once I know I can trust them. Watching my confidence grow is something really special. I’d do best in a calm, quieter home with people who understand that building confidence takes time and kindness. Loud or rambunctious kids would be a bit too overwhelming for me, but I could do really well with another confident dog who can help show me the ropes and teach me that the world isn’t so scary after all. I’m still young and have lots of learning and growing ahead of me. With patience, encouragement, and a little understanding, I know I’ll keep blossoming into the wonderful companion I’m meant to be. If you’re the kind of person who finds joy in helping a shy dog come out of his shell, I think we might be a perfect match!
