For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org __________ Malone Has Arrived in Wisconsin and Is Settling into His Foster Home Malone arrived safely in Wisconsin and it’s easy to see why he was a shelter favorite. This happy, go-lucky boy is settling in wonderfully — and we can’t help but mention his good looks. Meet Malone Malone’s story is one of resilience and second chances. This sweet 3-year-old Shepherd mix entered the shelter at just 5 weeks old and spent nearly his entire life waiting for a chance at a real home. Now, he’s finally getting to experience the comforts of home life and is thriving. Despite his long shelter stay, Malone has never let it dull his spirit. He is a total goofball, brings joy wherever he goes and is friendly with everyone, he’s eager to be part of a family and finally experience the world the way a dog should. From his foster: Malone did amazing with his first bath and slept through the night in his crate without a single peep. He is a total lovebug who leans into anyone who pets him for a hug and may even try to sneak in a gentle kiss. He’s food motivated, takes treats very gently, and is eager to please. Malone gets along great with the resident dogs in his foster home and loves to play with them. He also enjoys toys and happily chews on a bone when it’s time to relax. It truly breaks our hearts that Malone spent his entire life in a shelter, because he is such a joyful, affectionate dog with so much love to give. Potty training is underway and going very well. He is crate trained and walks nicely on leash. Explore our adoptable animals and find your perfect match today! For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org __________ Meet Dylan Dylan’s story is one of love, growth, and second chances. This 10-month-old Mastiff is currently in Northern Illinois and has been living with a wonderful family who gave her a chance, but they’ve realized she’s simply more puppy than their household can manage right now. With little kids and a senior dog with arthritis, Dylan’s big, playful personality just isn’t the right match — but that doesn’t take away from what an amazing girl she is. We are hoping to get Dylan into a foster home with Mutt Life Dog Rescue sometime this week (1/12/26). Dylan is a goofy, affectionate, super squishy-faced puppy who truly loves people. She is great with kids and adores them, but because she’s a happy, bouncy 70-lb puppy, she can accidentally knock over smaller children when she plays. She does well with other dogs and would thrive with a canine friend who enjoys playtime, but she’s not the best fit for senior dogs who prefer a calmer lifestyle. House trained and crate trained, Dylan already has a great foundation. She’s currently working on her leash manners and continues to improve every day. She’s spayed, up to date on vaccines, and ready to find a home that can keep up with her joyful energy and help her continue learning. Dylan would be an excellent match for a family with older kids, an active adult household, or someone with another playful dog who can match her enthusiasm for fun. Age: 10 months Gender: Female (Spayed) Weight: 70 lbs Breed: Mastiff Spayed/Neutered: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Leash Manners: Needs work Good with Dogs: Yes (best with playful dogs) Good with Cats: Unsure Good with Kids: Yes (best with older kids) Dylan is a wonderful girl with a huge heart and so much love to give. Without a home commitment, she won’t be able to make the trip. Meet Ariat Ariat’s story is one of survival, strength, and finally getting the chance she deserves. This roughly 5-year-old mixed-breed girl has endured far too much in her life and is now ready for a fresh start filled with safety, love, and stability. Ariat was surrendered to the shelter along with her four puppies as part of a severe neglect case. The individuals involved were charged with cruelty to both children and animals, and the dogs were living in filthy conditions. The shelter was informed that this was Ariat’s fourth litter of puppies. Despite the hardship she endured, Ariat has remained incredibly gentle, loving, and trusting. Now spayed, Ariat will never have to go through another pregnancy again. She can finally focus on being cared for instead of caring for others. Shelter staff describe her as super sweet, calm, and affectionate, with a wonderful, easygoing nature. Ariat is great with kids, cats, and other dogs, making her an excellent fit for many types of homes. She has a kind, nurturing soul and would love nothing more than to be a cherished family companion. She currently weighs about 42 pounds and has so much love left to give. She will be available to travel on Saturday, 1/17/26, but needs a foster or adopter to make that possible.
