Marley

Labrador Retriever Shar Pei

Female, Young
Union City, CA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Marley is an incredible dog who is extremely affectionate, playful, and protective. She’s 5 years young and enjoys walks and treats! She’s house trained and will ring the bell (on the door) if she needs to go to the bathroom. Marley has lived with another dog in the past but is currently the only pet in the house. She’s selective with new dogs but once she feels comfortable, she loves to play and be chased. She rather play with smaller dogs because I notice she gets tense around bigger breeds. Our house has never been robbed because she is the best alarm system. Perfect fit for a kid free home or much older kids (7 and up) because she’s skeptical around toddlers. She is crate trained. No small or major issues so far. She’s registered and vaccinated but not up to date. Marley is around 42lbs. If you have any questions, please reach out.

Story
Kiwi is an adorable brown Maltese Poodle with the sweetest smile. She is super cuddly and can never have enough snuddle time. She loves snacking on crunchy veggies and fresh fruits. She is very loving with most humans and other fury creatures, but can be a bit territorial with her food. She is a best fit for a household without other pets in the home and should be supervised when with other dogs. Kiwi is prone to ear infections, and has some sort of gluten allergy. We're not sure what has developed recently, but her allergies seem to have gotten worse, and her fur has gotten a bit more patchy.

Story
Chihuahua Mix Age: 2-3 yrs old Male, neutered 8 lbs Adoption Fee: $150 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) PLEASE NOTE: We do not adopt any of our dogs out to families with children under the age of 13. Clancy was turned into the Hayward Shelter as a stray. The family that found him and planned on keeping him, changed their minds when a child living in the home was nipped. Being a young puppy in need of socialization, he proved too hyper, too much “stranger danger” and a little snappy to qualify for adoption, so the shelter called Nobody’s Perfekt Dogs to take him into foster care. Clancy quickly bonded with the foster humans in the home. There was some initial barking, but after a couple finger sniffs, then licks he was good to go - kisses all around. He needs to develop some manners, and skills training. He isn’t yet leash trained, but prefers to go pee and poop outside. He needs to go to a home with another young, playful, friendly dog that will teach Clancy some dog-on-dog manners. He also needs more exposure to strangers so that there is less barking when meeting new people. We are looking for a stable home with other dogs (Clancy does okay with cats and is afraid of rabbits), with experienced adopters that can continue developing his social skills. Because of his barking, he would not be a good dog in an apartment setting. He needs a house with enclosed back yard. For more information about Clancy, contact nobodysperfektdogs@gmail.com

Llew (Special Needs)

Pembroke Welsh Corgi Spaniel (Unknown Type)

Male, 9 yrs 8 mos
San Leandro, CA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with dogs, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Pembroke Welsh Corgi Mix Age: Senior Male, neutered 20 lbs Adoption Fee: Donation (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Llew was picked up by animal control off the streets of Hayward. He was unable to use his back legs. Otherwise he seemed in fairly good shape. He must not have been on the streets for long. It is suspected that he had a back problem (IVDD) that was never treated. He has responded well to anti-inflammatory and pain medications. He has gained some use of his back legs (he can stand and walk a few steps). He has been in physical therapy for a few months. UPDATE: With diligent persistence from his foster home, Llew is walking again on his back legs. He is a little wobbly, but he is using his back legs all the time - no more dragging. For all he has been through, he has an excellent demeanor - very friendly, very loving. He can come off as a little “pushy” to some dogs, but overall he gets along well with all the dogs in his foster home. He needs a home with no stairs, and where someone is home most of the time. He would prefer a home with another friendly dog. Nobody’s Perfekt Dogs is willing to assist with his vet costs, if needed. Even though he has regained the ability to walk with his hind legs, the jury is still out on whether he has control of his bladder and bowels. He appears to pee when he goes outside, but he doesn't stop and pee. Similarly, he doesn't stop and poop - it just comes out when it is ready. Flash

Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) Dachshund

Male, 4 yrs 6 mos
San Leandro, CA
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Not good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Terrier Mix Age: 3-4 yrs Male, neutered 16 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Flash & Sasha were confiscated by Hayward Animal Control along with eight other dogs from a hoarding situation. Everyone lived in a single hotel room. All of the dogs were related (puppies having puppies . . . ). Four of the dogs were fixed and returned to the owner, while the other six were left at the shelter. None of them were deemed “adoptable” and no other rescue group would take any of them, so Nobody’s Perfekt Dogs pulled all six into multiple foster homes. Flash & Sasha has struggled in their new environment. Our understanding was that having 10 related, unfixed dogs in a small place generated a lot of squabbling, which then led to their confiscation. Flash & Sasha seem to be still affected by that. They lived in a foster home with lots of dogs, that did not go well. So they were transferred to our new adoption center to stay until we can secure a foster or forever home with no other dogs. All of the other dogs from that situation have been adopted. Sasha & Flash are the remaining 2. Once they warm up to you, they are very sweet, friendly little dogs that love attention. They are also quite content to be left alone with each other. They would be perfekt for a home where the humans are at work all day. They have warmed up to a number of volunteers who spend time with them throughout the week. The volunteers have gotten them comfortable on leashes. They can still be shy with new people, but that doesn’t seem to last too long. Under a controlled/supervised situation, they do fine with other dogs, but they should be the only dogs living in the foster/forever home. Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13. For more information about Sasha & Flash, contact: nobodysperfektdogs@gmail.com
