Lia

Chihuahua

Female, 4 yrs 3 mos
Concord, CA
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Lia is ready to find her happy ever after! Lia came to us pregnant from a hoarding situation. She had lived her life in a barn and had raised who knows how many pups without much human interaction. She is approximately 3 years old, 15 lbs and we think possibly a chi/ min pin/ doxie mix. Lia delivered her pups in her foster home and has been the best mom to them! She does take a little bit to warm up to new people but once she trusts you she will be your best friend and wants nothing more than to be loved and share the couch and bed with you! Lia does well with the small dogs she knows in her foster home but can be fearful of large dogs. Lia does chase cats. She is an easy happy dog but will take time to decompress in her forever home. She is working on leash training and is almost completely house broken. She has been spayed, microchipped dewormed and is up to date on her vaccines including rabies. If you would like to meet our mama girl Lia please fill out an application at https://www.ozziespoundpuppies.org/index.php/applications/adoption-application/ Her adoption fee is $300

Story
Bear is one of our parvo survivors from 2018. He was adopted into what we thought was a great home, in Courtland. Three years later, right after Christmas, Bear was turned into the Santa Cruz shelter by an unknown person. He was in a bad state of health. We brought Bear back to our rescue and treated him for demodex. It has been about 7 months now and Bear is ready to find a loving home. He has been a super easy foster dog. He loves to nap and he loves to eat! He is fostered with many other foster dogs and does great but does need to be watched around high value treats with the other dogs. Bear’s mom was a husky and his dad a staffy. Bear is a lower energy dog but his husky side comes out when he talks. Bear is almost 90 lbs and a big sweet Bear! If you are interested in this big teddy bear please fill out an application https://www.ozziespoundpuppies.org/index.php/applications/adoption-application/ Bear is fixed, chipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is sponsored.

Story
Fritz was adopted from us back in 2018 when he was just a puppy. He was returned a few months ago and we were only told negative things about him, how awful he was. Fritz was terrified when we took him back but only took a short time to decompress in his foster home. He is doing amazing now. He has been a wonderful foster dog and we do not see any of the issues we were told about. Fritz is a little bit needy and insecure but we can’t really blame him considering his previous home. He loves attention he loves his foster family and the other dogs in the home. He is very food motivated and we are working on taking treats gently. Fritz loves going on walks and he is good off leash, he listens and comes when called. We know there is a wonderful forever home out there for Fritz could it be yours? Fritz is around five years old he is a terrier mix, 30 lbs. He is fixed, chipped and vaccinated. If you are interested in Fritz please fill out an application https://www.ozziespoundpuppies.org/index.php/applications/adoption-application/ Adoption fee is sponsored, application and home check required.

Sage is now 10 months old and he cant wait to start his happy ever after in his forever home! Sage loves other dogs and gets along with cats, he is house broken and learning leash manners. He is still an energetic puppy and a home with older children would be best for him. He is super smart and very treat motivated.
