Story
FOSTER CARE! Hi, my name is Charlie! I'm a 2 year old, neutered male, Pit Bull mix who weighs around 65 pounds. If you'd like a super smart, affectionate, energetic best friend, then look no further! I've done lots of obedience training with my fosters, and I'm a champ at down, stay, place, leave it, and recall. I love to learn (and I'm very treat motivated), so I'd like to go to even more classes with my new family--maybe even a nose work class since I'm a star at scent work and excel at finding challenging hides. In addition to mental stimulation, I'll need consistent walks (or runs, if that's more your speed). You could also take me to play dates with other dogs, as I'm extremely social and love romping with dogs outside the home. I have a rough-and-tumble play style, and I do best with dogs of a similar size. Once I've had exercise and mental stimulation, I'm the biggest cuddler you've ever met. I absolutely adore my people and want to be by their side. I could possibly do well living with a resident dog, though I would need a family that can help me work on my sharing! If you have another dog in the family, please bring him or her in to meet me so we can make sure we're a good match. I have a lot of love to give and can't wait to find my forever home. If I sound like a good fit, please ask about me! Charlie ID# A946468 Since I’m not at the adoption center, you can make arrangements to meet me by emailing behavior@phs-spca.org You may also submit your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to behavior@phs-spca.org and a staff member will call you to conduct a phone interview before making an appointment to meet me in person. You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around! To check on an animal's adoption status, please call 650-340-7022 during normal business hours to speak with an adoption counselor. Emails will be returned as soon as possible, but please allow up to 48 hours during busy adoption periods like weekends.May 1, 2025, 4:38 pm
