Story
Colleen is one of the most affectionate huskies, loves hiking and the outdoors,  responds well to verbal instruction, can be trusted in the house, is house trained, loves her people and  very aware of her surroundings.   She would thrive with a moderately active furever family. Colleen loves the snow and is currently being fostered in the mountains where she is thriving and very happy. We think her one eye gives her superpowers!  Who would like to be her superhero? Story
Mara ~   I have a beautiful white coat and amazing bi-eyes (blue/brown)! All the dog walkers and team in NorSled tell me they love me because I am so sweet and motivated to learn. I am a very happy dog!   I love to be around adults, but would do best in a home with no children, and either no dogs or select dogs that respect my space. I am talkative when comfortable in my environment and look for affection when around people. I know sit, stay, and lay down on command. I am also crate trained, house trained and walk well on leash. I love toys and love to play tug. Squeaky balls are real fun too!       September 28, 2023, 6:14 pm

Story
Is this adorable sweet and Sassy diaper baby the dog for you? She can be sassy with other dogs but she really just wants to be a sweet cuddly girl with her favorite humans. Why do we call her a diaper baby, you ask? Well, she has some minor issues with her hind quarters, possibly due to a subarachnoid diverticulum cyst on her spinal cord (a congenital defect that is likely to be stable over the remainder of her life). It seems that the nerve impulses from her hind quarters are blocked or delayed getting back to her brain so she drags her back legs a bit and she unfortunately has little bowel and bladder control, hence the “diaper baby” endearment. The good news is that she does not let it stop or slow her down and she is very tolerant of wearing her diapers. She has full command of her hind legs but does not always seem to know exactly where they are at any given moment. When she is running at full tilt boogie (zoomies level 10) she tends to do power slides around corners and will occasionally trip and momentarily loose traction, but she quickly gets back up to full Husky speed. She would be great as an only dog for someone who is willing to take on a sweet diaper baby. She does exhibit some occasional resource guarding behaviors so an experienced owner would be recommended for a multi dog home. She also tends to be the play police when her foster dog siblings are trying to play. Both behaviors are relatively minor and manageable by an experienced owner. If you will consider giving this sweet (and a bit sassy) diaper baby a place in your home, she will steal your heart.      September 28, 2023, 6:14 pm

Story
If anyone needed a second chance, that was me. NorSled saw how much potential I had when no one else did.  I was extremely overweight, with matted fur, and severely neglected. I have since lost all the extra weight and my fur is slowly growing back. I am a big looking teddy bear in the making with velvety soft fur and the sweetest boy to hug. I feel so much healthier now, I love my walks and walk really well on leash. I enjoy my surroundings and give friendly greetings to those walking by, even leaning in for pets. I do enjoy my food too - I am extremely food motived but take treats very gently. I am crate trained, and know 'sit' and 'come'. I am very confident and opinionated so would benefit from a home with no other dogs, or ones that won't let me push them around, and a doting human with lots of time as I love my humans so much. If you are looking for a mellow love bug, I am the dog for you.Click here to watch a video of Shawn.      September 28, 2023, 6:14 pm

Story
Simone is a young husky mix. She’s a beauty with a mostly black coat and gold eyes. She is growing up to be an extra pretty girl. Simone is shy and slowly learning to trust humans - but loves to cuddle with the humans she trusts. She gets along great with other dogs of all ages and loves to PLAY. Potty trained and working on leash training. She’s very treat motivated and very eager to learn! She would do best in a home with another fur sibling that is confident to help her boost her confidence as well.   Simone's Wisdom Panel DNA results came back with the top five breeds: 36% Siberian Husky 29% German Shepherd Dog 25% Maremma Sheepdog 6% Alaskan Malamute 2% Great Pyrenees       September 28, 2023, 6:14 pm

Story
The first word that comes to mind when you see Wade is "magnificent"!! This boy does not take a bad photo. Wade has bi-eyes, a very beautiful black coat and amazing markings. He is strong, self assured, and handsome, yet sweet, smart and accepting of pets and affection. Wade could use some work on leash but once he makes it to the lawn he sure knows how to relax. He absolutely loves rolling around and laying in the grass. Wade knows "sit" and "down", takes treats very gently, and love to give kisses. Wade is also attentive and curious/explorer with a mild interest in toys. He previously lived with another dog and loves to play with other dogs. He would do best with a husky savvy and active family. Wade's happy demeanor makes this a dog you will not soon forget. Click here to watch a video of Wade.      September 28, 2023, 6:14 pm
