Story
Echo is a chill, smart and loving dog that settled in quickly and smoothly into his foster home. Highly trainable, and polite on a leash, he catches on quite quickly to instructions and loves his structure. He enjoys a typical day playing and socializing, having a blast on his multiple daily walks, and cuddling up at night on the couch. He is a homebody at night, and oh boy he loves his outings during the day. Echo loves to run! His foster sibling can attest to the fact that he is comfortable with other dogs and would make a fantastic doggy sibling. He is not particularly fond of toys or bones, but he sure loves his food! He must have some awesome doggy dreams because he sleeps like an angel. He thrives with patient, caring people who are comfortable going slow with his physical space, so he'd be best-suited with older, dog-savvy kids. (He warmed up fast in his patient and caring foster home.) He prefers to be with people than to be alone, so he’ll be one happy boy if he gets to be your working buddy! Echo (51 pounds) will be the happiest dog in a home that can provide patience, continued socialization and training, and lots of exercise with plenty of love thrown in. Could you be that family? Apply to adopt Echo today! (SG)

Story
Loki is a 4 year old husky mix who came to Rocket Dog after his owner passed away. Loki has been living with his friend Quinn. They rely on each other for comfort and companionship, and must be adopted together. These dogs are typical huskies - active, energetic, vocal, and playful - but they have great training and would adapt well to a home environment. They would do best in a home who has experience with huskies or has done the necessary research and prepared themselves for caring for these special dogs. Loki is an extra-large guy and does need to lose some weight. He currently weighs in at around 110 pounds.

Story
Napa is a cute little 15 lb chihuahua mix ready for his forever home. Still a puppy in many ways, Napa is a little nervous at first, but warms up quickly with some love and patience. Napa's foster says that once he warms up, he has a total puppy personality and loves to play. He does well with two long walks or three short walks per day. He is potty trained and crate trained. He loves other dogs and would likely do best with another dog in the home. We think he'd be fine with cats.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet George — an older puppy who already has all the basics down and then some. George is crate- and house-trained, and food-motivated, which makes him a joy to work with. He knows his commands and is eager to learn more, especially when treats are involved. He’s dog friendly, politely curious about cats, and settles in well to home life. True to his name, George is curious about the world around him — he likes to investigate new sights and experiences, but he also knows how to relax. When playtime is over, he’s very cuddly and happy to soak up affection. His amazing foster reports: "George LOVES playing with his doggy foster-brother, learns very quickly, and is a super sweet cuddle bug. He also settles quickly in his crate and sleeps through the night without issue." George would thrive in a home that enjoys engaging with their dog, continuing his training, and appreciating the perfect balance of curiosity, intelligence, and snuggles. He’s past the tiny puppy stage but still young enough to grow into an amazing lifelong companion. Estimated adult weight is 50 pounds, no guarantees.

Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Kane may look intimidating at first glance—at 2 years old, 80 pounds, and with cropped ears—but looks are deceiving. He’s a total goofball at heart. He loves to play and will happily share his toys, but he’s just as content lounging in the shade, rolling in the grass, and watching the world go by. Kane enjoys exploring, checking in with his person for a sit and a cookie (gently nibbled, of course), and will absolutely turn any water break into a splash zone. He’s housetrained, enjoys other dogs, and has done well in a gentle playgroup.

Story
Adam is an 80-pound silly, calm and cuddly boy doing so well with his amazing\ foster who says her favorite qualities are his squishy, loveable face, his soft fur, and his smile. Adam walks well on leash and is eager to "sit" for his dinner. He gets along great with other dogs. He is calm, playful and has good manners and is not overly curious about cats. He is low energy but really enjoys going for walks and being let out to run and explore in a fenced area. Adam is protective of his family and property and, with proper introductions, is the most loyal and gentle guy! He needs an adopter who can guide him with boundaries and offer lots of socialization opportunities. Everyone who meets Adam falls in love with him! He's just waiting for the right one who's ready to provide him a stable and loving home. If that's you, please submit an application and a volunteer will be in touch! (HD)
