My name is Ninja, and I am 6 years old. I’m a loving girl who likes to go with the flow. I was rescued 3 years ago from the Martinez shelter where they had me listed as very timid, and was on the euth list. Luckily, I was adopted on the spot when my dad and I met. We bonded instantly! Check out my pictures, I’m pretty darn cute and my eyes are so soulful. I’ve learned a lot since I was adopted, but due to the pandemic and a forced move, my dad is not able to provide me the home I deserve. My dad says I’m an awesome dog and the best companion ever! I’m pretty much down for anything you want to do. I like lots of things like running, walking, hiking or just relaxing at home. I ride really well in a car and just get comfortable in my spot. I’m just happy being with my person. I’m great with kids over 12 years old. I get pretty stressed living with other animals and I would be happiest in a home as an only pet. My dad says I am a super quick learner, know many commands and am eager to please. I’m in great shape and health, spayed, up to date on all my shots and even covered with pet health insurance. I bond quickly and I am looking for a new guardian who has the time for a friend. Love me and let me know everything is going to be okay and in return you will get the best companion ever! My name is Coco and I am 3 years old. I’m a gentle and friendly girl. I’m housebroken and have already been spayed, so I’m ready to go home with you right away. I am happy and playful and am looking forward to fun adventures with my new family. I can also be quiet and independent depending on the situation, so if you want to just hang around the house, I’m happy with that too. I like to go for walks and can be reactive on leash, but I have been around other dogs and depending on the dog, I do okay. As for people, I love them! I am sensitive, affectionate and cuddly. I’m a good girl who is obedient, curious and smart. I would do well with some additional training and guidance to help me be the best girl I can be. My name is Asteroid, and I am a gorgeous 2 yo long haired black and brown GSD. I was found tied up to a fire hydrant in front of the Richmond, CA. Shelter and was taken to the Martinez Shelter where I ended up on death row. Luckily, Martina Animal Rescue saved me from the shelter at the 11th hour. I was in a foster home briefly, but it wasn't a good situation. They kept me outside all the time in a very small crate where I couldn't even move around. So, I was placed in a boarding kennel until I find my forever home. I have been there for more than a year. I really like the people there and I make the best of it, but it sure would be nice to have a home and family of my very own. They do tell me every day that I am a great dog and that they love me and this makes me feel so happy.❤️ I just found out that the Boarding Kennel I am in is closing at the end of this month. I don't know where I am going to go now and I am very worried and sad. I hope I don't end up back at the scary shelter. I am reserved and nervous when I meet new people (especially men). I think this is because my original human abandoned me. But, once I know you and trust you, I am a very loving and affectionate dog. My humans tell me I am smart, curious, love taking walks and am easy to train because I love their treats. I also really like meeting other dogs and playing with them. My friends tell me that I would make an excellent personal protective dog. Wouldn't it be nice to be happily greeted at the door every time you come home by your best friend and know that your home and belongings were safe and sound. My name is Peekaboo. I am a beautiful girl with the most adorable ears. My left one stands straight up. I have been with my foster learning lots of new things, while playing in the strawberry fields and chasing butterflies. While it is beautiful here, what I would really love is a home and family of my very own. I am super playful and strong for my size. I don't growl or show any aggression, but I do bark at cows. I have a happy demeanor and love to prance around. I love hiking and exploring all the outdoors. I get along with other dogs. I am small animal reactive including the little lizards seen on our walks. They're so fast! I have been working on this with steady improvement, but no cats. I'm a super good listener, excited to hike and love to play. I can sit, stay, heel pretty well and I take treats calmly. I do not tear up blankets, only toys. I love treats. My name is Papa Bear and I am a friendly and easy going 9 year old. I was rescued from the Shelter by Martina Animal Rescue and am currently in boarding while I wait for a foster or adopter. . The shelter said I am easy to handle. I like going for walks and love getting pets, affection and attention. 🥰 I came in with a female who was rescued. I also ignored the other dogs I passed at the shelter, so would likely do okay with another larger dog with proper introductions. Since I'm an older gentleman, I'm very easy going, no "stay off my lawn" energy from me and none of those headaches a puppy causes! I adore being pet and brushed. Any pampering is fine by me! I am a gentle soul who enjoys a stroll around the park 🌳 or lounging around the house.
