Foster/Foster to Adopt/Adopt Bear is one of our parvo survivors from 2018. He was adopted into what we thought was a great home, in Courtland. Three years later, right after Christmas, Bear was turned into the Santa Cruz shelter by an unknown person. He was in a bad state of health. We brought Bear back to our rescue and treated him for demodex. It has been about 7 months now and Bear is ready to find a loving home. He has been a super easy foster dog. He loves to nap and he loves to eat! He is fostered with many other foster dogs and does great but does need to be watched around high value treats with the other dogs. Bear’s mom was a husky and his dad a staffy. Bear is a lower energy dog but his husky side comes out when he talks. Bear is almost 90 lbs and a big sweet Bear! Foster/Foster to Adopt/Adopt DOB 3/13/22 Dudley was a stray who was not claimed in Chowchilla. Unfortunately he got parvo but was treated and recovered quickly. Dudley is around 6 months, best breed guess is short hound mix. Dudley is sweet but feisty! He loves his foster friends and he is very food motivated. He is just starting his leash training. Dudley is almost housetrained but will still have a few accidents, we are sure he just lived outside previously. He loves to sleep in his humans bed. Dudley is fixed, chipped and fully vaccinated. She is around 11 months and 40 lbs . We think she will remain a medium size dog. Hazel loves to rough house and wrestle with her dog buddies but also loves to cozy up to her human companions as well. Hazel is still working on her potty training and she is extremely treat motivated and a quick learner. Foster/Foster to Adopt/Adopt Sweet Eddie is still looking for his happy ever after! Eddie came to us over a year ago from a sad hoarding situation. Eddie spent his whole life in a barn without much human contact or compassion. He has blossomed in his foster home and craves love and attention now. He is still timid and afraid of being picked up but absolutely loves to snuggle with his human on the couch and sleep under the covers of his foster mons bed at night. Eddie does not like loud noises or children. Eddies perfect home would be with an older retired couple or single person that likes to travel and would take Eddie wherever they go. He travels well in the car, but is still afraid of his leash. He has no trouble riding in a pet stroller though! Eddie is house trained but does have occasional accidents. He is neutered microchipped dewormed and up to date on his vaccines including rabies. He had his teeth cleaned and a few extractions when he first arrived. He is about 6 years old now and is ready to fill your heart and home with love!
