Story
We’ve had Herbie a week and don’t think it’s a match. The shelter told he’s 3 but to us, he’s clearly a puppy in behavior. We think he’s a Kelpie mix, maybe with German shepherd. He’s 45lb (most recent weigh in) and he’s a long, lean beautiful guy. Herbie is an incredibly sweet and loving dog. He loves people, is very smart and takes to training very quickly. He has had a few private sessions w/ a trainer who raves about him. He does get jumpy meeting new people, when he wants to get exercise in, when he’s super excited. He loves plenty of exercise and mental stimulation/play but relaxes nicely as well and enjoys belly rubs. Herbie has been crate training and is able to rest comfortably in it, without prompting for short durations, including putting himself into crate for the night. He’s great with other dogs but Herbie needs to go into a home without a cat. Likely not a good fit for small kids right now. He’ll make a great hiking, running, or couch partner.

Story
Roc is a wonderful energetic dog. He was found roaming the streets of our neighborhood. We took him to the veterinary clinic to see if he was microchipped and he was, however when they called the owner they said they didn’t want him anymore. After much thought we took him in with our other two dogs and it’s been a great 4 years. Unfortunately Roc has become aggressive towards one of our dogs so we need to re-home him. We have taken the steps to have him trained so whoever adopts him will have a fully trained dog. We just can’t take the risk that the aggressive behavior will continue. Roc is an athletic dog, loves to play chase, and is an all around happy dog. He loves to cuddle, give kisses, and he gives the best hugs. I think he needs a place where he is the only dog and gets a lot of run time or outside time.

Story
Princess was recused from an abusive household where she was not being properly fed and repeatedly faced physical abuse. Due to that abuse she went through life saving surgery as she lost part of her small and large intestine. She has made a full recovery!!! Despite all that she is still an overly loving and affectionate girl. She loves kids and other dogs. She is a very cuddling and calm girl. She will follow you everywhere! She is still learning basic commands but is a very quick learner. She has sit and stay down! She does tend to pull so she needs an experienced handler. She also lived in a house with cats and kittens and did just fine she does get very excited when they choose to be next to her but will calm down so they are comfy!

Story
Striking young GSD (1.5–2 yrs, 75 lbs), big heart & bright mind. Indoor superstar: deeply affectionate snuggler, loves touch/toys/tennis balls, sit/down/come in just 7 weeks, family + kids always felt safe indoors. Gentle. Crate pro (sprints in), quiet overnight sleeper, settles post-play. No food/resource issues, baths OK. Tough past: prior poor protection training → leash reactivity (growl/lunge) to dogs (high), also humans/sudden movements. One minor redirect nip on me (leash incident w/ off-leash dog). Private outdoor time only now—no dog parks/daycares/public walks. Social upside: Shelter dog play daily (calm/gentle); composed 30–50ft from neutral dog in trainer session (redirected on cue). Found stray; stress amplified reactivity but warmed up sweetly. High potential: Instantly knew slip-lead cues (prior tool experience), eager learner. Needs experienced handler (working GSDs/protection rehab) w/ private outdoor space. Adult-only, no kids/pets/visitors to start
