Story
Lucky was rescued from a kill shelter in Tijuana, has been with me for over 2 years. She is approximate 3 years old. Just went to the vet to get annual check up and current shots. She is mildly aggressive when people come to the door with barking, but the tail is wagging. Once she get to know people, she is very friendly and affectionate. Likes to play with other dogs. She is a sweet dog and I would not be rehoming if I were not moving into a retirement place with restrictions on pets. I hope she finds a home with either an older adult that wants company or a family with children, because she loves kids.

Story
This is Sophie, she was rescued a year ago from a high kill shelter. She is a very mellow, mild mannered girl. She mostly enjoys sleeping the days away. Enjoys greeting company but wary of strangers and other dogs on walks. She gets along with the other dog in the home but doesnt play or interact. Sophie much more enjoys human contact and affection. No special needs but she was injured prior to rescue leading to part of her hip being removed. However, she gets along wonderfully and often enjoys jogs up and over the hills. Deadline to keep her out of a shelter or rescue is June. Praying someone sees her face and sees the face of their new companion. It pains me to feel she is being failed after Barely escaping a brutal encounter before we took her in. I just hope for someone to open their heart to this big teddy bear I just know her forever home is sadly not with us and hoping to find her and you the best snuggle bug and companion you could confide in! :) reach out today

Story
Keisha is 13 years old and very sweet. We have to rehome her due to her owner's health issues that unfortunately do not allow her to keep Keisha. Keisha is shy but once she gets to know you, she will show her fun, playful, silly side. She is a healthy girl who loves to go on walks or is just as happy hanging out with you at home. She is a very well behaved girl and will be a wonderful addition to any home.

Story
Meet HIROMI HIROMI was turned into the shelter as a found dog. No one ever came for her. Despite being failed by her former person, this sweetheart remains devoted and loving. After Hiromi’s arrival she was initially timid and lacked confidence. She can still be somewhat apprehensive but she has opened up and trusted us enough to let her true colors shine! She is silly, sensitive, refreshingly affectionate, playful and a free spirit. Her absolute favorite past time is to be showered with love and give it in return. Her gentle, resilient nature is inspiring but not surprising. Hiromi is very communicative by expressing a multitude of emotions with her eyes. Her body language is inviting and she understands how to use it to subtly let you know what’s on her mind. She is also an Akita so stubbornness is part of her DNA! Her ideal adopter should have a calm home environment and be able to provide consistency and a daily routine, where she can continue to expand her horizons. Hiromi gets excited for her daily walks and is a great traveler! She seems non-reactive to other dogs and might do well with a mellow male dog. She is approx 4 yrs old and weighs 57 lbs. She is also crate and house trained. She is ready to pledge her love and devotion! Are you?! Story
Meet TOBI We don't know much about Tobi's past, but his future is very bright. He is a big boy with a heart the size to match. He is a gentle giant with a gregarious, carefree attitude and is eager to learn and experience the world. He is game for adventure and deserves to have that special someone to accompany him in life. Tobi is playful and has a welcoming aura about him. He also has an unabashed, confident side to him. He's just not sure how he ended up here, and we're making sure he never has to wonder that ever again. He is best as an only dog and someone with previous Akita experience is best. Tobi is approximately 5 yrs old, and due to his size should be on a good quality joint supplement. He's only been with us a short time, so will need to gain a few pounds to look his best, but he's already on his way to showing us his beautiful soul. Story
Meet Emi Emi’s sleek, brindle coat is a thing of beauty and so magnificent to behold. Engaging, charismatic, gregarious, and spirited are the first things you sense about her from the moment she enters a room. Emi exudes a brand of joy that makes her impossible to resist! Not until you witness her graceful elegance and see a bit of frost around her muzzle, do you realize she is a senior beauty with an abundance of life experiences to share. She’s 8 yrs old and has found herself homeless, but she’s seen enough in life to know there’s still a wonderous journey ahead. She is a lover of people and she’d much rather be enjoying a fun adventure with you by her side on interesting walks or trips to the beach, than be left at home alone. She needs to be an only dog and is not suitable with cats. She is approximately 60 lbs. and seems unaware she has some arthritis and hip dysplasia. But as you can see, she enjoys playing with her toys and doing tricks for treats. Her healthy curiosity keeps her engaged in life’s adventures, though she also loves her beauty naps. Please don’t let her age deter you from considering giving her a home. Her heart is overflowing with love. If you are interested in Emi, please complete our adoption application in the link below.
