Story
Bailey is a 10-year old beagle terrier mix who still has plenty of energy and a huge heart. She loves to play, run, snuggle, and do anything outdoors. Hiking, camping, long walks, and especially relaxing on the beach are her idea of a perfect day. When she's not exploring, she's happiest curled up next to her person.Bailey bonds closely with her owner and thrives in a home where someone is around most of the time. She does experience some seperation anxiety, so when left alone, she does best in her kennel with a peanut butter kong and regular daily walks. With the right routine, she settles in nicely. She's very dog-friendly overall, but prefers calmer companions. Nippy puppies and very high-energy large dogs aren't really her vibe. Shed do best with mellow dogs or as the center of attention in a loving home.Bailey is incredibly sweet, loyal, and affectionate.Im rehoming her due to my job. Looking for a family that works from home or are retired. Anyone would be lucky to have her.

Story
Hello there, I'm Dahlia! I'm a spayed female, 2-year-old, Pitbull/ German Shepherd mix that currently weighs about 52lbs. I'm a sweet, curious lady that would love to go home with a family with kids 10 years or older that has experience with shy gals like me. My new family should also be prepared to continue my training since I'm still working on my doggy social skills and learning to share. If you have a mellow resident dog, please bring him or her in so we can say hello before I officially join the family! I would love to meet the whole household before going to a home, so come on by and say hi! For more information, just ask Customer Service about me. Dahlia ID#A0959886 I recently went on a field trip with a PHS volunteer! Here's how I did: Dahlia started our journey to Golden Gate park with a drive through the city in my Jeep. Dahlia was very well-behaved on the ride. Staying in the back as we drove; listening to tunes and enjoying the sun and the breeze. I had the roof panels off and she enjoyed the wind on her face as we made our way to the park. She was apprehensive at the start of our hike. It was a warm, sunny day and the park was bustling. As we made our way past pickup basketball and volleyball games, playgrounds and picnics; her caution turned to curiosity. She is a a great hiker, never pulling at the end of the lead and coming back to my side when I called her. She enjoyed cooling off in the ponds that we passed and admired the statues and sculptures. She wouldn’t drink water out of the travel bowl that I packed, but was fine drinking out of the lid to my Nalgene. I recommend either a larger travel bowl or a hard sided style in the future. We were in the park for a few hours and she had a blast. She napped on the ride back to the shelter and she seemed to know the way back to her dorm. She did give me that “where are you going?” look as I gave a wave through the window as I left. She is a sweet gal and was very well behaved. She is an able hiker and knows her name and recalls easily when asked.  Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Hey there, I'm Cassia! I'm a 6-month-old, spayed, Pitbull mix puppy looking for my furever home! I'm a super-affectionate lovebug who can't wait to spend time with my people. My favorite thing is to sniff, sniff, sniff all the exciting smells outdoors while running around. I'm working really hard on practicing 'sit', even when I can't contain my excitement! There is a lot to be excited about in this big, wide world! I would do best in a home with some dog experience, since I have lots of energy and will need to keep working on my puppy manners. I'm a great learner and can be quite treat motivated! While I currently weigh about 28lbs, I'll soon grow to a full size of 60-75 lbs. I love to play rough, so I would do best with dogs my size or larger and sometimes prefer male dogs. Are you ready for a loving, playful, beautiful gal to be part of your family? Bring the entire household in to meet me (including any resident dogs) and ask for Cassia ID# A0982940Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Hi there! My name is Sonnet and I'm a 4-year-old, spayed, pit bull mix that currently weighs about 47lbs. I'm a total sweetheart with an inquisitive side. I love to sniff and investigate new places before saying hello to new friends. It's nothing personal; I just love to take in new information. Once I've had a chance to check out my surroundings, I will say hello and want to play. I LOVE FETCH! It is my absolute favorite game! Sometimes it's the only thing I can focus on so I'm hoping for a family that is prepared to continue my training and help me learn that there's more to life than just ball. I'm also still working on some social skills. I could be the perfect adventure buddy for someone that's looking for a sidekick. Before I officially join the family, I'd like a chance to meet the entire household including any resident dogs. I'm sure we'll all have so much fun!
