Story
Miss Honey is a very sweet Bichon Frise/mix and weighs approximately 18lbs (she's a tad bit overweight). She loves to play and receive attention! She is completely blind (no eyes), housebroken, spayed and received a dental, microchipped and UTD on all vaccines. She is 10-12 years old. Honey would like to be an "only child" but she also does great around her foster siblings. She does fine around other dogs as long as she has had time to adjust. She will sometimes startle easily and has snapped at dogs or a person (out of fear, just a correction is needed). We recommend that she not be with small dogs. The following information is from Miss Honey's foster mom: "When Miss Honey first came to us, she was confused. Her eyes were painful and she had just left a home where she had possibly spent her entire life. We weren't sure if she had been around other dogs, so that was an adjustment. She was shy and didn't really know how to react toward other dogs - she would growl, but would also be wagging her tail. She would snap by shaking her head at other dogs and not attack, but she's not actually aggressive. Miss Honey has had a dental and both of her eyes removed. She's very happy She takes the stairs like a champ. She's very loving and a great cuddler, She will walk on a leash with her person as long as you guide her by voice & leash. She does well with a routine. Oh and when she barks, her ponytail ears flop away! Honey is really the best little dog and gets around so well despite being blind. She can go up and down stairs once she knows her area. Honey is terrified of thunder, fireworks and loud noises. She’ll start circling and pacing, all you would need to do is remove her from the area that she’s in. Quiet is all she needs."

Story
Lyla is a beautiful Mini Golden Doodle who came to us as an owner surrender when her previous family could not afford to treat her medical condition. When Lyla arrived she had nearly 3/4lb of bladder stones! We provided the medical care Lyla needed and she has done amazingly well. This girl has a new lease on life! Lyla is super curious and loves her toys and tennis balls. She’s excited to bring them to you to show you when you arrive home. She loves running in the yard and playing with the other dogs in her foster home. She trots around like a young dog most days. Her big personality has been beautiful to watch bloom. The ideal home for Lyla would include a securely fenced in yard and hopefully, at least one other dog for her to play with. It would be best if there is a family member that is home most of the time. She had anxiety from the transition out of a home she had lived in for 9 years to her foster home. However, her canine foster siblings and foster mom who works from home helped her significantly. She is housebroken and can be left alone in the home without a crate (she doesn’t like the crate). She will tell you when she needs to go outside. She prefers to sleep with her person - she actually sleeps at her foster mom’s feet every night. She also enjoys cuddling on the sofa. Being a Doodle, she should have her eyes cleaned daily, and due to the type of bladder stones Lyla had, she will need to remain on a special diet for the rest of her life. Lyla is currently in one of our Texas-based foster homes and we would love to find her a home in the DFW or surrounding area. This would make it easiest for her foster mom to help transition her to a new family. This special girl is a blonde beauty and we are praying there is an ideal forever family for her out there!

Story
Lucy is a sweetheart! She does require patience initially while she gets settled, but once she is comfortable she becomes her cute, goofy self. She is good with other dogs, she travels well, she's housebroken and she especially loves to sit outdoors in the sun. She's been great with the grandkids in her foster home. She is a good snuggler and very playful after she's adjusted. She can be a little food-aggressive but that might be because there are several other dogs in her foster home. There is a kennel set up for Lucy and when she feels overwhelmed she will nap in it on her own. She would do great in a home that doesn't have a lot of other dogs. She does have one blue eye (probably due to past trauma) but it's not painful and it's even slightly visual - and of course, she can see great with her "good" eye.

Story
*Jimmy does not attend our Saturday adoption events. He is available by private adoption appointment and is located in foster care in Fort Collins, CO. Contact us for more information!* Jimmy the gentleman has quickly stolen the hearts of many while within our care. He was transferred into Bounce from NOCO Humane when both organizations felt that he would do best in a foster home set up. He has quickly shown us how friendly, affectionate, and well-mannered he is. Aged at approximately 8 years, he is spry and carefree and loves to show off with occasional living room zoomies. Despite having no teeth, he is very food motivated and comes running when he hears cheese wrappers. (Also having no teeth has given him the best expressions as his tongue lazily hangs from his mouth most of the day.) Jimmy loves doing all things with his humans (car rides, Netflix binges, and short walks to the mailbox). While he is friendly towards dogs, cats, and children, he would really love a lower energy home where he could be obsessively doted upon as an only child. Jimmy is an 8-year-old mixed breed rescued from a local Colorado shelter. This dog is current on vaccinations, microchipped, 4DX tested, and neutered. This dog is also tested with other dogs, kennel trained, and housebroken. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if it might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption! Story
Patches is an outgoing and energetic pup that loves to play chase, believes she's bigger than she is, and doesn't believe that personal space is real. Patches is good with other dogs and kids, and is working on her house and kennel training. Always down for cuddles from kids and adults, this happy girl would make a wonderful addition to an active home that can provide her with daily exercise and endless snuggles. Patches is a 6-month-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog is current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. This dog is good with other dogs and children. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Friends, say hello to Turkey. To get straight to the point - he isn't getting much adoption attention because he's a pit bull. Adopters don't gravitate towards the bully breeds like they do poodles and labs. And while he might not be hypoallergenic or a state swim champion, he's a complete delight, and a foster home favourite. Turkey is happy, outgoing, and social. He loves to run and play. He loves food. He loves cuddling and doesn't care if he's too big for your lap. He loves to romp about, toss his toys in the air, and sneak your shoes off to his bed. (He won't chew on them, he's simply a sneakerhead that appreciates good footwear.) Turkey lives harmoniously in foster care with multiple dogs - of varying ages and sizes. He takes cues well, snuggles with the senior chihuahuas and wrestles with the juvenile shepherd mix. Turkey's one knock is he gets excitable when seeing other dogs on leash. Between Pterodactyl screeches and pulling on his leash, he can be a bit much to the untrained eye. Fortunately, with the incredible help of our trainer, his foster home has made remarkable progress and his dog-sighting leash skills are turning a corner. (Our trainer has also extended her help with any leashed dog introductions for adoption meet-and-greets.) Turkey is kennel trained, potty trained, and an excellent playmate for other bouncy dogs. While we don't know how he is with cats, and we don't think he would eat one, we can't imagine there's a cat out there that will appreciate his hijinks. Turkey is polite in his foster home, makes a perfect co-pilot for car rides, and even waits his turn for snacks until his name is called. If you're looking for a loyal sidekick, weighted blanket, and never ending tail wag, head to our website (www.bounceanimalrescue.org) to fill out an adoption application.
