Story
Gwen – The Right Dog, Waiting for the Right Home Gwen is a genuinely good dog—she just needs the right environment to prove it. She’s the kind of dog that doesn’t demand attention. She watches, she learns, and when she feels safe, she gives you everything. Gwen is soft, affectionate, and naturally handler-oriented. Once she decompresses, she becomes deeply connected—following you from room to room, settling at your feet, and choosing you every time. And here’s the part that matters—Gwen already has a foundation. She is crate trained, has solid house manners, understands basic 7 commands and walks on leash with no pulling. She understands structure. She responds to leadership. She is not a project dog. But she is a sensitive dog. In a calm, structured environment, Gwen relaxes, opens up, and becomes an incredibly easy, rewarding companion. In high-energy, unpredictable environments—especially with younger children—she can become overwhelmed and unsure. Not reactive without reason, not unstable—just honest about her limits. Gwen will only be placed in a home with children 10 years or older. She communicates appropriately. She tries to create space. She looks for guidance. That’s not a flaw. That’s a dog asking for clarity. Gwen doesn’t need to be fixed—she needs to be placed correctly. In the right home, you’re not getting a “maybe” dog. You’re getting: A dog with a solid foundation A dog that walks well, settles well, and lives well A dog that will bond deeply and stay loyal A dog that loves and thrives with other dogs of all ages She has also shown neutral curiosity around cats with no clear prey drive, and with proper structure and introductions, may be able to coexist. Gwen is for someone who values connection over chaos. Someone who understands that the best dogs aren’t always the loudest—they’re the ones who quietly become everything. She’s ready. She’s just waiting for someone to meet her where she is—and give her the life she’s been trying to step into.

Story
Kiara – A Good Dog Who Needs the Right Environment Kiara didn’t get the start most dogs do. She came from a backyard “oops” litter without proper early socialization, which made the world overwhelming early on. Through structured training and consistent guidance at K9netic Pack, she has made a significant transformation into a confident, affectionate, and capable dog. Kiara was previously adopted and returned—not because she is a bad dog, but because the environment was not the right fit. She was placed in a high foot-traffic home with a lot of movement and little structure. For a dog like Kiara, that kind of environment creates overstimulation and confusion. Without clear leadership, she became overwhelmed. She also sheds, which is normal for her breed mix but was a contributing factor for the previous home. This is not a reflection of Kiara’s quality—it’s a reminder that placement matters. Temperament & Behavior Friendly, affectionate, and social with humans of all ages Playful, goofy, and engaging personality Handler-oriented and enjoys connection Does best with structure, routine, and clear expectations Kiara is a working-breed mix—intelligent, aware, and responsive when given direction. Training & Foundation Kiara comes with a strong, professionally built foundation: House manners Leash manners (walks well with no pulling) Socialization and neutrality in public environments Crate familiarity Foundational obedience including the basic 7 commands She understands how to exist in a structured environment and is set up for continued success. Dogs: Dog selective Best with calm, neutral, well-socialized dogs Requires proper, structured introductions Also thrives as the only dog Cats: Shows little interest, has never fully engaged with the cats here on property Children: Kiara is great with humans of all ages and has shown friendly, appropriate interactions. Ideal Home Kiara is best suited for: A structured, lower-chaos home An adopter who will provide leadership and consistency A home that understands working-breed needs Someone prepared for normal shedding of a Doberman/Shepherd mix She is not a “hands-off” dog—but she is absolutely a capable and rewarding one. Final Thoughts Kiara has already proven she can learn, adapt, and grow. She is not the problem—the environment was. In the right home, Kiara will be: Loyal Affectionate Playful Well-mannered and engaged She is a good dog with a strong foundation who simply needs the right structure and placement to thrive. 📍 Located in Poolesville, MD 🐾 Spayed, fully vetted, and professionally trained 📚 Adoption includes post-adoption support through K9netic Pack

Story
We will never know Raya’s past, but she came to us from the shelter as a stray with urine stains on her fur and recently healed scars on her head and side. Raya is believed to be around 4 years-old and is probably a mix of rat terrier and chihuahua, now at a good weight of 9.5 lbs.! She had her spay and a small benign mass removed from her left armpit shortly after arriving, and saw specialists to address extreme pain during bowel movements. Finally, in November 2025, she had double knee surgery to correct her painful injuries. Although Raya has healed well she will probably remain a little lame on her right rear leg but that doesn’t stop her at all! She is back to going up and down stairs, can now get up on the sofa by herself, and is even dancing for her breakfast! Although she has mostly done well with the other resident dogs, she has displayed signs of resource-guarding with her crate. These behaviors might be related to the physical scars she has and her experience with other dogs prior to the shelter, so she would do best in a home with no children or dogs. Although she can be a bit barky at people and dogs when out walking, she is very treat-motivated and can easily be redirected. When introduced to the resident cat, Raya did not seem interested. Even though Raya does not ask to go out, she is reliably house-trained on a schedule. Raya is cute as a button, recovered from knee surgery, and is ready to start looking for her forever home. Considering Raya’s past, she would do best in a home where she would get all the attention and not have to share her human(s). You can see more of Raya in her online photo album at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/raya Because of her past injuries and recent surgery, we are looking for a local adopter to be able to meet her and learn more about her! Story
Chelsea – The Dog Who Will Choose You Chelsea has been waiting. She came to us as a military boarder, and when it was time to go home—no one came back for her. Communication stopped. Payments stopped. And since May 2025, Chelsea has been here, quietly waiting for someone who will actually show up for her. And here’s the part people miss— she’s still a really good dog. What Chelsea Is Really Like Chelsea is calm, observant, and thoughtful. She doesn’t throw herself at strangers or demand attention—but that’s not a flaw. That’s what makes her different. Because when Chelsea trusts you… everything changes. She becomes: Playful Affectionate Cuddly Completely connected to her person She doesn’t give that to everyone. She gives it to her person. The Right Home for Chelsea Chelsea needs: A calm, lower-traffic home No children Someone who respects that trust takes time A person who wants a real bond—not just a dog that loves everyone She is neutral in public, manageable, and has made real progress with structure and guidance at K9netic Pack. She knows how to exist in the world—she just needs someone to give her a place in it. What You’re Getting You’re not getting chaos. You’re not getting a project. You’re getting a dog who: Bonds deeply Loves hard once she trusts Settles into your life Becomes yours Final Thoughts Chelsea has been overlooked because she doesn’t perform for strangers. But the right person is going to see her—and realize she’s exactly what they’ve been looking for. She’s not for everyone. She’s for someone who wants something real. And when she chooses you, you’ll understand why she was worth the wait. 📍 Located in Poolesville, MD 📚 Adoption includes support through K9netic Pack Apply to adopt Chelsea: www.underdogdivision.org

Story
Snoopy – High Energy, High Potential Snoopy came to us from Fairfax County Animal Shelter after being returned multiple times for typical adolescent behaviors—primarily mouthiness, overwhelming energy, and a strong play drive. What Snoopy needed was more structure. Since being with us at K9netic Pack, Snoopy has made significant progress. With clear expectations and consistent leadership, he has learned how to exist more appropriately in a home environment and channel his energy in a productive way. Temperament & Behavior Friendly and highly social with people Playful with a strong desire to engage Great with other dogs Thrives with structure, routine, and boundaries Snoopy is a young, high-energy dog who needs direction. When that need is met, he is fun, engaging, and rewarding to live with. Training & Progress Snoopy has developed: House manners and improved boundaries Leash manners Foundational structure and engagement Ongoing work with the basic 7 commands He has already shown that with the right leadership, he can learn and adapt quickly. Handling & Grooming Snoopy is sensitive to grooming and handling associated with it and can become highly uncomfortable in those situations. This will require: Continued desensitization work A handler who can advocate for him Proper management during grooming routines We are happy to discuss this in more detail with serious adopters. Dog & Cat Compatibility Dogs: Does great with other dogs Cats: Not recommended Children: Due to his energy level, mouthiness history, and handling sensitivities, Snoopy will only be placed in an adult-only home or with children 13 years or older. Ideal Home Snoopy is best suited for: An active, structured home An adopter committed to continued training Someone who can provide both mental and physical outlets A handler comfortable with a high-energy, high-engagement dog Final Thoughts Snoopy has already proven he can learn, adapt, and improve with the right guidance. He is not a problem dog—he is a young dog who needed leadership and now understands what is expected of him. With the right home, Snoopy will be: Social Playful Engaging A genuinely fun and rewarding companion For the right person, he’s going to be an incredible dog. 📍 Located in Poolesville, MD 🐾 Neutered and fully vaccinated 📚 Adoption includes support through K9netic Pack Apply to adopt Snoopy: www.underdogdivision.org
