Petey is a 3 year old border collie and pit bull mix. We’ve had him since puppy. He’s friendly, loves to play, active. He loves to be rubbed and played with! Sweet dog. My kids are graduating soon, and I’m downsizing. So Petey needs a new home. He is house broken and crate trained.

Story
Remi is a 4-year-old Doberman with a big heart, a big personality, and even bigger potential. She is deeply loyal, incredibly smart, and always tuned in to her people. Once she trusts you, she communicates beautifully — whether it’s alerting you to a mouse hiding in a container or insisting you come check on an opossum that fell into the pool. She observes everything and takes her role as household protector seriously, but without aggression. Remi LOVES tennis balls, toys, fetch, and running. She was an Amish puppy-mill momma for much of her early life, likely crated far too often, so the freedom to run and play now means everything to her. She needs an active, outdoorsy family who will include her in adventures, take her on car rides (she loves them!), and give her the physical and mental stimulation she craves. Remi is energetic, playful, and occasionally tries to “bulldoze” her favorite humans when excited, so she's looking for a forever home with adults and dog-savvy teens.  (No small children).  A physically fenced yard is needed to provide a safe space where she can sprint, chase toys, and safely burn off energy. Remi picks up new tricks quickly and already knows wait, sit, stay, down, touch, and heel. She’s obedient, eager to learn, and food-motivated — treats make her forget her fears when she’s unsure. She’s leash trained, crate trained, swims, rides well in the car, and delights in anything involving toys or fetch. She’s also affectionate to her core. Remi loves snuggling on the couch or in bed and gives the sweetest “hugs” by wrapping her front legs around you. She’s a true lap dog at heart. Remi likes other animals — dogs, cats, and even the foster home’s macaw, whom she curiously but respectfully observes. She can be dominant with dogs but is also responsive and respectful. She is timid and shy with new people and unfamiliar situations, needing slow, hands-off introductions. She may bark or stomp when unsure, but once she decides you’re safe — especially if you offer her a ball — she warms up quickly. Remi Would Thrive With: • An experienced adopter with Doberman ownership experience • An active, outdoor-loving family • Dog-savvy teens or adults • A securely fenced yard • Someone patient and willing to help her gain confidence • Plenty of toys, balls, and playtime Apply for Remi at www.DUdobes.org   Doberman Underground adopts to Ohio and some close in parts of bordering states. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *  Sponsor Me by purchasing: Toys / Treats $10.00 USDLeash & Collar $15.00 USDMonth of Food $35.00 USDMonthly Heartworm/Flea/Tick $40.00 USDTransportation Costs $60.00 USDVaccinations $100.00 USDSpay / Neuter $150.00 USDThyroid Panel $150.00 USDIncoming vetting $300.00 USDHeartworm Treatment $1,500.00 USD  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 2, 2026, 8:18 am

Story
Hastiin-came in with her sonDoli is a 2-year old blue girl that has already overcome more than any dog ever should. When Doberman Underground rescued her from a shelter, she was in very rough shape—starved, weak, and covered in painful Demodex mange that had swollen her eyes shut and left her skin raw and inflamed. On top of that, she tested positive for heartworm. Her tiny, exhausted frame carried the weight of so much suffering. But through it all, Doli never gave up.  Today, thanks to months of nourishing food, gentle care, antibiotics, and the healing power of love, Doli is fully recovered and ready to start the next chapter of her life—with a family who sees her for the strong, beautiful soul she is. Doli is a classic “velcro" Doberman. The moment you reach out to pet her, no matter how busy or curious she is, she completely melts into your touch. She’s sweet, affectionate, and eager to bond with her people. She's great with dogs of all sizes and needs a playful canine companion in her adoptive home.  No cats and Doberman experience are needed to adopt her. She loves to stay active, but she also has a sensitive side and can be fearful in new situations, so young children would not be a good fit for her.  Because of her history on the run, a physically fenced yard is a must to help her feel safe and secure as she continues to thrive. Now that she’s been given a second chance, Doli is eager to learn, eager to love, and more than ready to find a forever family with Doberman experience so she can live her best life. Apply today to make Doli’s next chapter the best one yet.  www.DUdobes.org Doberman Underground adopts to Ohio and some close in parts of surrounding states.  Check the list of specific counties we adopt to at the top of our application before applying.   * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *  Sponsor Me by purchasing: Toys / Treats $10.00 USDLeash & Collar $15.00 USDMonth of Food $35.00 USDMonthly Heartworm/Flea/Tick $40.00 USDTransportation Costs $60.00 USDVaccinations $100.00 USDSpay / Neuter $150.00 USDThyroid Panel $150.00 USDIncoming vetting $300.00 USDHeartworm Treatment $1,500.00 USD  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 30, 2025, 3:08 pm

Story
HW+, wicked duo Elphaba is an 8-year-old sweetheart with a heart as big as her story. This lovely girl was saved from euthanasia after arriving at a shelter heartworm positive when the shelter did not have the resources for her treatment. Thanks to rescue and dedicated care, Elphaba has completed her heartworm treatment and is now looking forward to a safe, loving forever home where she can truly relax and thrive. Elphaba is the definition of calm and gentle. She is generally quiet and content just being near her people. However, when she needs something important—like a potty break or mealtime—she will let you know with the most adorable little noises and her signature smile that is impossible to resist. She would do best in a relaxed household where she can enjoy companionship, either from someone who is home often or with another calm, easygoing dog. While she hasn’t shown interest in active play with the resident dog in her foster home, she does enjoy running alongside her foster sister outside and would enjoy having a canine friend to lounge and cuddle with. Because she recently completed heartworm treatment, her activity is temporarily limited while she continues healing. She'll soon be fully recovered, and she would enjoy having space to safely stretch her legs and explore. She tends to stay close to her humans and does not react to passing dogs or people. While she may not require a fenced yard, she has not yet been tested without one. Elphaba is truly a people lover. She welcomes visitors warmly, shows no reactivity. She is polite in the home, does not get on furniture, and is happiest cuddled up beside you—often choosing to rest on your feet or lean gently against your legs. She walks beautifully on leash and enjoys calm strolls. She has shown polite curiosity when meeting other dogs, enjoying a good sniff introduction before settling into a calm coexistence. She has shown no interest in cats when hearing them at the vet, though she has not lived with them directly. Elphaba rides in the car with a little hesitation at first but settles in for the trip. This smart girl already knows basic commands like sit and place, and she learns new things quickly. More than anything, Elphaba is simply looking for someone to love and stay close to—your quiet, loyal companion who will always be by your side. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate, and devoted Doberman to share your home and heart, Elphaba may be your perfect match. Elphaba is available to adopters of all ages.  She is eligible for our Seniors Owning Seniors (SOS) for adopters 70+ with prior Doberman ownership experience.  Visit our website for more information. Apply to adopt Elphaba through Doberman Underground Rescue and give this deserving girl the happy ending she’s been waiting for.  www.DUdobes.org Doberman Underground adopts to Ohio and some close in areas of surrounding states.  Check our online application for a full list of the states and specific counties we adopt to before applying.           * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *  Sponsor Me by purchasing: Toys / Treats $10.00 USDLeash & Collar $15.00 USDMonth of Food $35.00 USDMonthly Heartworm/Flea/Tick $40.00 USDTransportation Costs $60.00 USDVaccinations $100.00 USDSpay / Neuter $150.00 USDThyroid Panel $150.00 USDIncoming vetting $300.00 USDHeartworm Treatment $1,500.00 USD  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 3, 2026, 8:43 pm

Story
Graham is an 8-month-old blue Doberman who is ready for a forever home that truly understands the needs of a young, high-energy dog. This handsome boy is smart, athletic, and full of potential, but he will thrive only with adopters who are committed to structure, training, and daily engagement. Graham recently underwent cherry eye surgery, which has healed beautifully, and he just completed a board-and-train program. He now has a solid foundation, shows strong drive and focus, and would excel in dog sports such as obedience, rally, agility, or other structured working activities. Like any adolescent Doberman, his long-term success will depend on consistent follow-through and continued training in his adoptive home. Graham is best suited for a home where he can be the only dog. He should not live with cats or young children. He needs confident, experienced owners who can provide clear leadership, routine, and appropriate outlets for both his mental and physical energy. Training sessions, structured exercise, and purposeful interaction are not optional for Graham — they are essential. This is not a dog looking for a laid-back, couch-potato lifestyle. Graham is looking for an experienced Doberman adopter who wants a dog to work with, bond deeply with, and continue developing into an exceptional companion. If you are ready to invest the time, consistency, and commitment a young Doberman like Graham requires, you may have just found your perfect match.  Apply today at www.DUdobes.org Doberman Underground adopts to Ohio and some close in parts of surrounding states.  At the top of our application, you will find a full list of the states and specific counties we adopt to.   * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *  Sponsor Me by purchasing: Toys / Treats $10.00 USDLeash & Collar $15.00 USDMonth of Food $35.00 USDMonthly Heartworm/Flea/Tick $40.00 USDTransportation Costs $60.00 USDVaccinations $100.00 USDSpay / Neuter $150.00 USDThyroid Panel $150.00 USDIncoming vetting $300.00 USDHeartworm Treatment $1,500.00 USD  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 3, 2026, 7:49 am

Story
Monkey is a 3-year-old female Doberman who has officially wrapped up her heartworm treatment and is ready to start the fun chapter of her life — finding her forever family! This joyful, playful girl has a huge personality and absolutely loves making friends with everyone she meets. Monkey is the perfect blend of sweet, gentle, and delightfully silly. She’s a classic Velcro Doberman who wants to be close to her people at all times and would happily volunteer to share your bed if you let her. She loves giving nose kisses and enjoys lounging on the couch just as much as she enjoys playtime.  Monkey thrives on being part of her family’s daily activities. This smart girl learns quickly and is already making progress on her manners. She does have a talent for counter surfing if opportunity strikes, but she’s improving with guidance. Monkey has never been kenneled because her foster home has someone around most of the time, and she has done very well with that arrangement.  Monkey is young and full of energy, so she will need daily exercise, including walks and yard time to run and play. Squeaky toys beware — Monkey considers them her personal mission and will happily dismantle them if given the chance! She has done well on the few walks she has experienced so far, especially considering her limited prior training, and with continued structure and consistency she is going to make an incredible companion. She enjoys children and has been friendly and interested in them, though due to her enthusiasm and energy level, kids ages 5 and up would be the best fit. Monkey currently lives with a small dog and tolerates them but does not fully respect their size and may accidentally run them over during play. She would do best with a confident, middle-aged canine companion who can help guide her, build her confidence, and keep her in check during playtime. She has not been cat tested, but she would likely chase a cat just for the fun of it. Monkey is still learning and has lots of youthful energy, so she would do best in a home where someone has the time and dedication to continue her training and help her succeed. A very busy household may not be the ideal fit for what she needs at this stage. Monkey is also a great little watchdog who will alert you when something or someone is outside but responds well to correction. If you are looking for a happy, energetic, affectionate Doberman with a big personality, Monkey may be your perfect match. With structure, training, and lots of love, this sweet girl is going to blossom into an amazing lifelong companion. Monkey is ready to swing into her forever home — could it be yours?
