Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Transport available **** Luke is a gentle and loving German Shepherd with a more relaxed personality. At three years old, he enjoys companionship and is happiest when spending time with his people. While he still has a playful side, he tends to be calmer and loves belly rubs, lounging by your side, and being part of the family. Luke has undergone basic obedience training and knows commands such as sit, stay, and come. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on a leash. His eager-to-please nature makes him a quick learner, and he enjoys positive reinforcement during training. Luke gets along well with other dogs, enjoys the company of children who love spending time with a sweet and affectionate dog, and has the potential to live with cats if properly introduced. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and ready for a loving home where he can bond closely with his new family and enjoy a stable environment.  Luke is not a Rose's Rescue dog we are posting this in order to help his caregiver find him a loving permanent home. He was rescued during the housing crisis in California when his previous owners were unable to keep him. He has received training and medical care during his time in his foster home. There will be an adoption fee of $250. Luke is located in the Santa Monica, CA 90401 area but transport is available anywhere in the US. Please contact Francine (text) 310-597-8702 for more information on this loving boy.        Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 1, 2025, 11:22 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Moose here,  I am one big, handsome dude. I am apx 7 and weigh in at 75 pounds. As shepherds go, I am very loyal to my people. The gal whom rescued me is my angel. I am house trained, trustworthy loose, and good with dogs. I know how to sit, stay, come, leave it, and lay down. I am friendly, but when people first arrive, I have an intimidating bark. Isn't that what I am supposed to do? I am a loving boy, that is easy. My angel has several cats. I don't have a problem with them, but they have a problem with me. I make them anxious and that makes my angel have anxiety. She loves me, but needs to find me a new home. If you have a cat, it won't work.  I will be too intimidating. Therefore,no cat in the home with me.Hey you shep lovers, I am your guy and the cats need a break. Consider me? You won't be disappointed. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Well, I am one lucky dude and very handsome I might say.  I am a coon hound of about 55 lbs now and almost 6years. I was in a bad situation with a man that kept me and my two buddies in an outside pen, under terrible conditions. We lived in filth, barely fed and wore training collars to keep us quiet. When the batteries quit working, we started barking. This alerted the neighbor to check on us and he reported our owner. It was not good. One of my buddies didn't make it. Our owner went to court and we were taken to the humane society. My other buddy got adopted from the shelter and I was almost to the point of not getting out of there. Then the rescue stepped up. I moved in with some nice, calm people. My foster mom has a soft spot for hounds. It might be our floppy ears or our funny ways. Rose calls us clown hounds. When I first moved in 3 months ago,I was so traumatized, I had terror in my eyes and constantly paced. It took me a while to get used to being in a house. They have a fenced yard and I felt more comfortable out there. Now I'm learning being indoors is quite nice! I know pottying is for outside now. I'm glad I have two dog brothers too.I like all dogs and am a gentle soul. I have no fight in me. Another dog came to stay for a while and we played and played. In the 3 months here, I have come a long way.I still have farther to go to learn all humans are okay. With your help, I will get there. My foster mom says I'll be a work in progress. If you have experience with abused and neglected dogs, it would help, or just plain patience. I am low key and don't ask for much. I am good on a leash and a walk a day would be lovely.I'm also crate trained and completely vetted.  I am starting to live for the first time in my life. Can you be my angel to help me go farther?  If interested, you can easily fill out an adoption application by clicking here: adoption application For anyone viewing this on Petfinder, if you are interested in adopting this animal you will need to go to our website www.rosesrescue.net to fill out the online adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi Meko here. I am a border collie/shar pei mix weighing in at about 50lbs. I am a perfect kind of fella, that is ver easy going. I am a little over a 1 year old and a ball of energy, curiosity, and love. I am looking for a home due to no fault of my own. My mom, who is pregnant, became very allergic to my fur so she had to make the very hard decision to surrender me.  I have yet to meet anyone I have not loved! With that being said, I have never met cats.  If you know us border collies you know we love to try to herd so no small children please. I need an active family with a fenced in back yard. Another dog to play with would be awesome. The nice ladies with the rescue say if I can handle the energy of the dog I was living with I will do great with any dog!  My family worked really hard with me since I was a little pup socializing and teaching me to listen and it shows!  My family is heartbroken that they had to surrender me but I told them not to worry because there is a family out there that will love me just as much if not more! Are you that family? If so I can’t wait to meet you! Story
*** BONDED PAIR; EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS ** 'Lil' (aka 'Lillian') and 'Phil' (aka 'Phillip') are 2 of the most wonderful, affectionate, sweet and joyful pooches we have ever known. Lil is a 6.5 yr. old, 65-70 lb. fawn brindle Staffordshire terrier female and Phil is a 6 yr old, 80-85 lb. Staffordshire terrier/curly coated/Chesapeake Bay retriever mix male. They are the best of friends and make a tremendous duo. They are affectionate, kind, gentle, loving cuddle bugs with a silly, playful side. Incredibly eager to please, obedient, loyal and attentive. They are like sunshine on a rainy day; you simply cannot be in a sad mood around them. Words cannot justify how truly wonderful they are; people adore them when they meet their sweet, kind natures. All they want to do is to love and be loved. One of the greatest duos we've ever known, each being super special in their own right but combined they are magic. They compliment each other so well, being each other's anchor and best friend, they deserve to continue to live together and spread their combined joy. Lil is spayed; Phil is is neutered. Both dogs are fully vaccinated, de-wormed, have been on monthly heart-worm preventative, crate-trained and house-trained. This rescue does not do it's own 'shots' ... all medical care is done by a licensed, certified Veterinarian or done under their direct supervision (ex., monthly heartworm treatments &/or deworming). All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., probiotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition. Are you searching for a Queen in your life? Well, here I am, a 5 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog just ready to move in. I do get along with other dogs, but yes, I do like to be queen of the household, and being your one and only would be best. I am a tad chunky, but ready to walk or play whenever you are ready. Being a queen means I have to take care of my queendom, so I do have a fierce bark and let people know this my territory and you are my people, but if they are your friends, they will be accepted into my world easily. I would love a fenced yard. So, if you are searching for that perfect partner in crime to ride along with you, then we could be the perfect couple. Let's meet up.
