I picked Teddy up from a shelter . I work nights and have never had a dog and was very excited about having him. I just didn’t realize that it would not be good for me or him due to the hours that I am gone. It’s not fair to him or me.Teddy is 5 yeas old and very friendly he listens , sits lays down when told. Teddy is very loving he needs lots of attention and affection. He gets along with cats, kittens , kids and strangers. He is up to date on his shots. Teddy has an allergy that he takes medication for over all he is healthy. Teddy is a wonderful pet.

Story
Angel is very sweet. She loves to cuddle me and the other dogs. She is good with the dogs here from 5 lbs to 90 lbs. She will give me kisses. She has really thick nails cause the last owner didn’t keep them cut well so just be mindful of that cause they’re a bit harder to trim (she doesn’t use them to scratch me or anything like that). She doesn’t jump on me and is for the most part, very gentle with me. She’s pretty laid back for the most part since she is past her puppy stage and just looking for her forever home. The vet said her weight wasn’t of concern, but she is a very lean girl. She is very shy at first and takes a bit to warm up. Has a nub tail from previously chewing it off due to stress in past home. Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: Good with other dogs of all sizes and children. She seems to ignore my grown cats but tries to pick up small kittens and carry them around (doesn’t seem to be trying to hurt them) but I keep her separated just to be safe.

Story
He’s a very sweet boy with no sense of personal space and loves giving kisses and cuddles. He cannot be trained like a regular dog because he does not understand positive or negative reinforcement, only consistency. He has good and bad days. Sometimes he can be walked on a leash; sometimes he can’t so he has to go to a home with a FENCED IN YARD. When he is very excited, he is a jumper. I have tried everything possible to get him to stop but he just does not understand (although he doesn’t do it as much as he used to so hopefully he will grow out of it). He also functions a billion times better when other dogs are in the home so he must go to a home with OTHER DOGS. His crate and the couch are his safe places. When he is stressed, he has to have access to his crate because that is his safe place (either enclosed or metal with a cover around it). I can’t shortly explain him in full, so if anyone is genuinely interested, please reach out and we can discuss more. When I say he is nonfunctional off medication I mean he refused to leave his crate, would use the bathroom on himself, and barely eat because he was so terrified of everything. His meds completely changed his life and they aren’t negotiable in any part of his future. Message/comment if interested.

Story
Location: West Columbia, SC She is the runt of the litter Breed: Beagle Mix - dad is full blooded beagle (around 20 lbs) and mom is hound mix of some sorts (around 40 lbs). Have pics of mom but not dad. Spayed/Neutered/Shots: none - have been dewormed. Aggression or medical issues?: none Reason for rehoming?: neighbors dog got out and got their pup pregnant before she could be fixed. They have her scheduled to be spayed. They are keeping pups until adopted as I am out of space at my house. House/crate trained?: working on it and doing well. Additional info/story (personality): Beagle means high energy and very smart. Train a lot from the start and they will turn into such good pups and will mellow out around 2 - if you don’t have time to train it will go VERY badly (you don’t need a professional, just YouTube). They’re all very sweet and were giving me tons of kisses. Just need their forever home with some love and attention! She is the shyest of the litter but not to where I see it making too much of a difference as she warmed up to me very fast. Also be aware that their nose will drive them since they should be at least 50% beagle. Some of the pups were already tracing scents around their yard. There are ways to fulfill this need in the home that I can explain if needed, just don’t ever leave unattended outside in a free roam area just in case! Message/comment if interested. Make sure if you message me to include the animal’s name since I have a lot of rescues I am trying to help rehome at the moment. Adoption application & contract required (includes showing proof of puppy vaccines and spay/neuter).

Story
*courtesy post as we are unable to assist with this one due to funding needed for medical* need EMERGENT placement before Friday Location: Pelion, SC Name: Bailey Age: 6 years Breed: Labrador Retriever M/F: F Spayed/Neutered/Shots: fixed; not up to date on vaccines Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: all of the above! Was fine with cats when they had cats, but they haven’t had a cat in 2 years. Aggression or medical issues?: NEEDS HIP SURGERY (roughly a 5k surgery). She is currently on 3 medications a day while owner was trying to save up money to get her surgery (meds are 70 every month and a half). This is not going to be possible now because of below situation. Strictly leash walking – no running, while waiting for surgery. Reason for rehoming?: grandchild is having to go through aggressive chemotherapy in Charleston and owner’s are having to stay down there with her and unable to care for the dogs. She will be going out of town again on Friday and unsure when she is able to return again. Would you like alternative rescue help?: YES House/crate trained?: yes to both Additional info/story (personality): She is very sweet. Not trained to hunt or anything like that. Doesn’t have to be crated when left alone, but would advise doing this at first until she gets adjusted to the routine. Message/comment if interested. Make sure if you message me to include the animal’s name since I have a lot of rescues I am trying to help rehome at the moment. Adoption application & contract required to ensure good home and remaining vetting is completed.
