Story
Libby is an elder dog. We adopted her when she was around 1 or 2. She is now, we think, 12. She is an extremely quiet, calm and lazy dog! Although she still loves her walks. She is extremely friendly with people. I have walkers come in all the time and she happily greets and walks with them. I need to sell my home and move into an apartment. This is why I would like to rehome her.

Story
This pup is 7.5 years old and has a lot of love to give. We wouldn't say he's not good with kids because that would be super unfair to Plagueis, but his patience with our growing family has run thin, and he, fairly, becomes agitated when inside with our toddlers. Plagueis expresses his disdain for lack of attention and sharing his space with a mountain of paw patrol toys by being a bit of a recluse, which isn't his typical personality. We're looking for a happy home for Plagueis- this decision doesn't come lightly, but we don't think it's fair to continue to present him with a situation that he's uncomfortable in and that we surely can't resolve.

Story
Handsome Duke is so deserving of that royal title!  This is a majestic liver and white Brittany with beautiful markings and a sweet demeanor. Duke came to NBRAN as an owner surrender. Sadly, Duke had an infected eye a few years back he had to have his left eye removed. Because of his blindness in his one eye, Duke will not be placed in a home with young children or overly active dogs that could startle him.    Duke is laid back and while he doesn't mind other dogs, he's just as happy to entertain himself.  His latest hobby is running in his backyard looking for winged creatures to bark at like the true bird dog that he is!  He would need a nice, fenced yard so he can run around and chase all the birds and critters.  Duke is housebroken and easily learned to use his foster's doggy door right away.  He has had no accidents in the house.  He has also earned is foster's trust to the point where he need not be crated overnight any longer or when left at home for extended periods.  He is always sure to find the comfiest cushioned spot to lay! Training is ongoing and Duke has mastered "sit" and "wait" and will faithfully do so before feeding or walking.   Leash walking is a work in progress and the proper halter or collar (and some more practice) will help.   Duke is pretty good about counter surfing but if a tasty looking morsel is left too close to the edge, he may take advantage of the situation.  Continued training will likely take care of that. This charming boy will need a physical fence to prevent him finding an interesting diversion in another yard.  Duke will do best in a home where his family is committed to continue his training and provide consistent reinforcement.  He might be best suited as an only dog where he doesn't need to share attention but would also thrive with a canine buddy of similar size. The adoption fee for Duke is 350.00 which helps to offset NBRAN's vetting and to help medical care for Brittanys in foster care. He is UTD on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, neutered, and is microchipped. He weighs 50 pounds, He is not overweight, just a solid boy.  Duke can be transported up to 1400 miles via the Canine Railroad with the new family driving the last leg.  Please complete an application at NBRAN.org and your state coordinator will be in touch. Duke is located in Kentucky. You may contact the Kentucky state coordinator's if you have any additional questions. Neca neca227@gmail.com or Amy amypgay@gmail.com      September 10, 2024, 3:01 pm

Meet Maggie! This 2-year old house panther came to us from our friends at a local animal shelter after being found as a stray. We’re shaking our heads as to how this playful and snuggly midnight princess didn’t have a home. Maggie can be a little shy at first, but is a friendly and active youngster who loves all dog toys, but reallllly loves squeaky toys (though she destroys them with gusto!). This shady lady, with the BEST espresso coat, wags and wiggles when she meets new people, but isn’t a fan of loud city noises. One of her favorite pastimes is snuggling on the couch, or in bed…she just wants to be close to her human all the time and basically sits on top of her foster mom at any opportunity.   Maggie loves the water and will submerge her whole body into it (but hasn’t actually swam). She’s great in the car and either looks out the window or lays down in the backseat. She’s a loving and velvety raven pooch who just needs a home to call her own! Maggie is basically a big puppy and is working on some basic manners like jumping and counter surfer. But is making strides in a short time and would just need a forever family who will continue to work on the basics. She is currently in a foster home in Boston and we have discovered the city has stressed her out, so she’s looking for a quiet place to settle. And while she did great on her dog tests, she has gotten a bit more stressed out by some dogs in the city. Whether that’s due to the stress of city living or is just who she is remains to be seen. Because of this, were looking to place her as an only dog, but she has so much love to give, she’s all you need! Due to her size and a lack of history, older kids would be best for this smoky gal. Introducing Jubilee! This adorably speckled little low rider came to us from our friends at Brockton Animal Control after being found as a stray. Huge thank you to longtime fosters Michelle and Tom for taking this sweetie in. Jubilee certainly lives up to such a celebratory name, she brings the party! She loves to romp in the yard with her two foster brothers, those little legs can move! While running, she also likes to keep the boys guessing, she will intersperse some ninja like rolls into her moves   Leash walks are a favorite pastime of hers, she loves to sweetly greet people as she strolls around. Jubilee also loves car rides, looking out the window taking in all the sites. If food motivated pups are your forte- look no further, this little lady has never met a treat she doesn’t like! Jubilees dream home is an active one, preferably with another pup for her to love on. If you and your family are looking to add an adorable, short and sweet low riding pittie lady, Jubilee is your girl!! Introducing Empress! This beautiful cookie colored young lady came to us from our friends at Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray. Big thank you to  new PittieLove foster Zoe for giving this cutie a safe and comfy place to decompress and learn to dog. Empress is an “energy on demand” kinda lady- she’s happy to go for long walks (she walks like a dream on her leash!) and play with her human, but she’s also just as content to snuggle up on the couch and snore away. This sweet girl is as smart as she is beautiful! She loves mastering puzzle toys and eats all her meals out of different frozen puzzles. Empress didn’t seem to know what dog toys were when she came into foster but with some encouragement, she now happily engages in plan with toys with her foster mom. Her most endearing quirk, according to her foster mom, is how cuddly she is! Empress likes nothing more than snuggling right up to her people and snoozing the afternoon away. Are you and your family looking for a gorgeous girly who’s the perfect blend of activity and chill? Empress is your girl!
