Story
Meet Carter! Carter is a 3-year-old, 53lb pitbull mix with the sweetest heart and the silliest smile. This excited, loving boy has been waiting for over a year for someone to notice him—and he is so ready to finally find his forever person. Carter is the kind of dog who just wants to be someone’s best friend. He loves treats, hugs, toys, and anyone willing to appreciate his goofy, playful personality. He does great with other dogs (we recommend slow introductions) and would love a doggy sibling to romp around with—but he’d also be perfectly happy soaking up all the love as your one and only. It’s hard to believe no one has scooped him up yet, but that just means his perfect match is still out there. Carter is located in Houston, TX, and transport is included in his adoption fee—so he can travel straight to you! If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who will shower you with unconditional love, Carter is your guy.

Story
Maple is a 2.5-year-old French Brittany who packs a whole lot of charm into her perfect 25-pound frame. Her foster family lovingly calls her “Meatball,” and honestly…it fits. She’s adorable, goofy, snuggly, and absolutely devoted to her people. Maple LOVES car rides, plush toys, and curling up next to you for belly rubs. She didn’t get much freedom or enrichment in her early life and likely spent most of her time in a kennel, so she came to us needing a refresher on potty training and some basic house habits. She’s made steady progress but still needs a patient family willing to keep her routine consistent. She can be a bit curious and may check out items that aren’t technically “hers,” so keeping tempting things out of reach and offering plenty of dog-safe toys will set her up for success. Maple does well in her kennel when her people are out of the house. She may give a little protest bark at first (she just has to make sure you know she has notes), but she settles down and rests quietly once she realizes she’s safe. Maple is not a dog that can live with or closely interact with other dogs. Through training, she has made progress in calmly seeing dogs at a distance with positive reinforcement, but pushing those interactions too quickly can cause anxiety for her. For her comfort and safety, she must be an only dog, and a fenced-in yard (ideally privacy fenced) would suit her best so she can explore and enjoy the outdoors stress-free. She’s playful, affectionate, and incredibly people-oriented. Maple has mastered “sit", and is working on more tricks, but needs a little patience since she isn’t very food motivated. Maple is spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Now she’s just waiting for a family who sees how special she is and can give her the structure, love, and dog-free home she deserves. Maple is currently in foster care in Wisconsin and has an adoption donation fee of $400.  If you are interested in adopting her and have been approved to adopt, let your state coordinator know you are interested in her.  If you haven’t yet done so, please go to: https://www.nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application to fill out an application.  Your state coordinator will contact you and take you through the approval process.  If your application looks like a possible fit for her, your coordinator will contact Maple’s coordinator and continue the screening process. Maple’s state coordinator is Hallie Barbara. She can be reached at Minnesotabrittany@gmail.com for questions or inquires.   Thank you for considering this sweet girl.  March 7, 2026, 3:26 pm

Meet Buccee Joe This little buckaroo may have started life as a stray in Newton, but you would never guess it by the way he loves people. From the moment he arrived, it was clear that this boy’s heart is as big as his smile. This guy was sadly found emaciated, but the wonderful animal control officer Jo Ann stepped in and got him the care he needed at Thrive Natick. Thank you, Jo Ann! Buccee Joe is the definition of a love bug. His favorite activity? Climbing right into your lap (or your arms!) to give kisses and soak up as much affection as possible. Personal space isn’t really his thing—he prefers to be as close to his humans as he can get. Despite whatever he experienced before being found as a stray, Buccee Joe has nothing but love to give. He’s friendly, affectionate, and eager to connect with everyone he meets. Whether he’s leaning in for snuggles, following his people around the house, or greeting you with his happy face, Buccee Joe makes it clear he’s just grateful to be safe and loved. This sweet boy is ready to leave his stray days behind and start the life he deserves—one full of cozy naps, belly rubs, and a family to call his own. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily cover you in kisses and remind you every day how much love a pittie can give, Buccee Joe just might be your guy.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.www.pittieloverescue.org Please consider a donation so that we may continue the important work we do. Meet Dumpling Call it love at first sight, but Erika, his foster mom, says she would do anything for this dog—and once you meet him, you’ll see why. Dumpling was found tied to a RR station post by our friends @bostonanimalcontrol, and it’s clear he endured more than any dog ever should. He was severely emaciated, covered in pressure wounds, and had frostbitten ears. His once-white paws were now stained yellow from neglect. Despite his tragic past ,likely marked by abuse and abandonment, Dumpling stands as a true testament to the resilience and loving nature of pit bull-type dogs. Against all odds, and true to his breed’s beautiful spirit, he continues to love people with his whole heart. He is absolutely delightful—a quiet, gentle, snuggly little soul who seems happiest simply being near his person. Dumpling is wonderfully mellow—the definition of low-key. One walk a day suits him just fine, and the rest of his time is happily spent curled up in a lap while you work or read. Sometimes he’s so quiet and content you forget he’s even there… until you look down and see those enormous, soulful puppy-dog eyes staring back at you. This little guy’s rocking a one-of-a-kind grey-brown coat—like he couldn’t decide between being fancy or earthy. And those ears? Total chaos. One minute they’re up like satellite dishes, the next they’re flopped down like he’s over it, and sometimes they’re just stuck in “meh” mode , like they can’t be bothered to pick a side! He rides calmly in the backseat, settles beautifully when left alone, and has been a perfect gentleman in the home—no destruction, no chaos, no drama. He only barks when someone knocks at the door, then quickly relaxes. On leash, he’s still learning that walks are for enjoyment, not survival, and looks to his person for reassurance. With patience, kindness, and treats, he responds so well. He’s starting to discover how to play and will chase a ball a few times before deciding cuddling is the superior activity. He will also happily give up anything you’d like to take—though he will flash the most heartbreakingly betrayed eyes before forgiving you instantly for a snack. Dumpling’s dream home? A soft, mellow space where he can be spoiled with love and cuddles, enjoy ALL the treats and bones, and never feel scared again. He would make an incredible companion for someone wanting a devoted, gentle shadow who just wants to be close. He had every reason to shut down—but instead, he loves with open paws. If you’re looking for a sweet, soulful cuddle bug who is simply grateful to be safe and adored, Dumpling is ready to spend the rest of his life proving it.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.www.pittieloverescue.org Please consider a donation so that we may continue the important work we do. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. PittieLove Rescue, Inc. a 501c3 orgainization is an all-volunteer, foster home based rescue. Adoption Fee: $550 Our information is current if you are interested in adopting please read our  Adoption Policies before filling out an Adoption Application. https://www.pittieloverescue.org It is the easiest way to start the communication and adoption process. Meet Sprout  Sprout is exactly what his name suggests — small, fresh, and full of new life. This adorable little guy is sweet, playful, loving, and endlessly curious about the world around him. Everything is new and exciting, and he’s ready to explore it all with his future family by his side. Like most puppies, Sprout has bursts of high energy where he’s zooming around playing with toys and other dogs, followed by the most precious crash-and-snuggle naps. He loves all toys, is learning to play fetch, and happily entertains himself or joins in when the other dogs are having fun. After playtime, his favorite thing is being held and feeling himself completely relax into you — those cuddles are truly something special. Sprout rides beautifully in the car, settles right into his crate, and does well when left home for short periods — a few seconds of protest and then he’s off to dreamland. He’s friendly with everyone he’s met, wagging his tail happily when meeting new people and enjoying time with other dogs. As a young puppy, Sprout is still learning all the basics, including house training and what’s appropriate to chew. He will need a family committed to the time, patience, and consistency that puppies require. Frequent potty breaks, positive training, and lots of supervision will set him up for success. Sprout would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the day and where he can continue building confidence and skills. He’d especially love a playful canine companion to romp with and learn from. If you’re ready for puppy energy, endless cuteness, and the sweetest snuggles, Sprout is ready to grow right into your heart.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.www.pittieloverescue.org Please consider a donation so that we may continue the important work we do.
