Navy Bean is a 5-month-old Australian Shepherd mix. She was abandoned in her dog crate in an alley way. Thankfully, a good Samaritan found her and brought her to us. And luckily, Navy was healthy and unharmed. We immediately sent her to foster.Navy was not potty trained when she first arrived, but after just 3 days, she was! She is very smart, a fast learner, and sweet as can be! She is being fostered with another puppy named Harlowe, and those 2 have quickly become best buds! Navy is still in her puppy phase, and she is right in the middle of her "biting everything and everyone" phase! By that, we mean the puppy nibbles phase. But we are working on that as we speak. She is being crate trained and learning how to walk politely on a leash - and doing great at both!Navy's favorite thing in the world is playtime with her bff, Harlowe. They love to run around and chase each other in their foster mom's fenced in backyard! Navy has been spayed, is up to date on all age appropriate vaccines and is microchipped. Meet Allie, a 2019 edition of a party colored Australian Shepherd x Border Collie weighing in at 42 lbs. This beautiful gal came to NWMNAR because her previous owner had to leave abroad to help take care of in-laws and could not take Allie with. Allie loves going to obedience class and showing how smart she is. Allie needs an Aussie savy owner whom can outsmart her. She is best with dogs the same size, she has prey drive towards rabbits and may not do well with cats or other smaller animals possibly including smaller tiny dogs. Allie takes time with strangers and will often back away barking. Allie has been scared of men with hats in the past. She can be a bit barky towards other dogs on walks, but has been learning to play nice. She can be dominant towards other dogs. Allie doesn't like plastic crates, but does just fine in wire crate. Allie must be crated in a vehicle otherwise she will run around in a vehicle pushing window switches until she gets out. Allie is best to go for a walk before a car ride to ensure she doesn't nervous defecate in the vehicle. Allie hides and sleeps under the bed to keep the monsters away. Allie does like to vocalize herself if she sees other dogs outside when she is gazing out the windows. She has just started to play with toys and gets groomed twice a week with a brush. Hi, my name is Capp, and I’m a little Mini Aussie (and small for a mini), born in September 2024. The world is a very scary place for me right now. New sights, loud noises, and busy places can be scary, so I sometimes choose the safest option I know—running home and finding quiet. I’m learning, but even a walk around the block is scary so I can't lose sight of my foster home. I am crate and housetrained. When going outside to do my business, I prefer to come right back inside the house where I feel safe when finished. However, I really like the snow. I will get the zoomies during the early morning bathroom time in the backyard. I do get along with other dogs and play with my foster siblings on my terms and I’m not interested in cats at all. What I truly want for Christmas isn’t adventure or packed schedules. I don’t dream of crowded parks, long walks, or playdates with lots of new friends. My wish is much simpler. I’m looking for: · A solid, comforting home where I can relax and be me just hanging out where I want · Someone to pet me when I ask, and be patient if I’m not yet ready to sit in your lap or come to you when called by name · A fully fenced backyard so I can safely explore at my own pace · A calm, patient home that understands shy puppies bloom slowly, some, like me, very slowly · A family who’s happy to hang out at home and let me just be me With time, love, and gentle reassurance, I promise to show you my quiet loyalty and sweet heart.
