Meet Pinto Bean! This adorable 5-month-old Border Collie mix is the full package — smart, loving, and ready to find his forever family! Pinto Bean is already kennel and potty trained, showing just how quick and eager he is to learn. Like many young pups, he can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but once he realizes you’re a friend, his tail starts wagging and his sweet, affectionate side shines through. He’s the kind of pup who bonds deeply and loves to be near his people. When it comes to other dogs, Pinto Bean does best with slow introductions, as he can be a little nervous at first. But once he feels safe, his curiosity and playful spirit start to come out — you’ll see him trying to make new buddies in no time! True to his Border Collie roots, Pinto Bean is a very smart boy who will thrive with mental stimulation, training, and love. He enjoys playtime, learning new things, and of course, his favorite — belly rubs! If you’re looking for a bright, loyal companion who will blossom with patience and kindness, Pinto Bean will reward you with endless love and devotion. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. Hi, my name is Magnum and I am from Arkansas! From his foster: Magnum (we call him Max) is one of the smartest pups you’ll ever meet. He’s only about 10 weeks old and he learned “sit” and “touch” commands in less than 5 minutes! Days later, he’s still reliably able to follow both commands perfectly! He’s also learned to wear a harness and walk on a leash. His potty training is going very well and he sits by the door to go out. He has puppy energy and is teething and still manages to be a very good boy. Through it all, his intelligence has served him well and he has so much potential to be the best dog ever! Boarder Collie mix pups have loads of energy! Magnum (Max) we’ll need plenty of exercise. He’s food motivated and learns very quickly. It’s important to continue with training and keep this smart puppy engaged to be his best self. I don’t think he has experience with cats or young children. He plays with his brother, but might be timid with larger dogs. A fenced yard would be great, but walks on a harness/leash would work too.
