Black and Tan Coonhound

Belleville, IL
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Cooper is a 90 pound hound mix. He loves to run and play but can also be lazy and just lounge around the house. He loves playing with other animals and is great with all people, although he can get to playing a little rough sometimes. Never aggressive, just a big goofy hound dog who doesn’t realize how big he is. He gets vocal (hound dog bay) at times, mainly just when he sees other animals. He does occasionally, maybe every few months, have a seizure. We can’t figure out what triggers them and the vet can’t find any reason either. He doesn’t like thunder, or anything that sounds similar to thunder. He’ll hide in a closet or bathroom during storms. He was crate trained when he was younger, but we stopped using the crate. Looking for a home where he’ll live inside and has a big, preferably fenced, yard.

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Matilda can be hesitant around strangers, but will warm up to them after introductions and some time. She does well with children. She is trained to use a dog door but may have a few accidents in transitioning to being taken outside. She is crate trained, but does not chew up furniture if left out. She will occasionally try to escape a crate, so if using a wire crate, zip tie the edges closed. She will do best in a home with no other dogs (she gets along well with cats) and room to run. Matilda is a cattle dog and will try to herd, she jumps when I come home, but responds well to sit to stop jumping and get attention. Matilda is a resource guarding dog. She will not get along with other dogs and must be an only dog. Matilda is 2 years old and about 36 pounds. She is up to date on all shots, but will require annual shots and heartworm treatment in June/July. She had her 3 month braveco on 4/5. Matilda does not have an adoption fee, but a $50 donation to a local shelter is required.

Story
Ivy is a 2 and a half year old Cane Corso. She is a sweet, shy dog who loves nothing more than being around her people. She is potty and crate trained, knows commands, and deserves to go to someone who can devout the time and attention. Ivy loves attention and currently is not getting enough of it as family dynamics have changed. As hard as this is for us we want her to live a happy life in a safe and loving environment where she can get the best care possible.
