Would anybody be interested in offering a loving home for this furry friend? His name is Tigger; He is a plotted hound mix. He’s getting up there in age, I believe he is about 13. I am a full-time college student as well as working and this guy needs more love and attention than I have to offer at this time. Let me know if you’re interested or have questions. He is neutered and has a rabies shot that is up to date. He loves walks, tennis balls and sleeping. Located in St. Louis, Missouri.

Has been the best protective companion I could ask for! He is house-trained and loves to be outside. I am relocating for a new job. He deserves far more space and playtime than I am able to provide him. He is fiercely loyal and very anxious around new individuals, especially men. It takes him meeting new individuals at his own pace with lots of open space and patience. New spaces and situation also take significant effort to ensure he is comfortable. Happy to answer any other questions and am hopeful to find him a home that is able to love him endlessly!

Story
Eddie is almost 3 years old. We got Eddie from the APA in Brentwood MO when he was about 6 months old. He is a sweet dog just is very protective if someone comes to the house and we are home. He stays in his crate when away. He has stayed in a kennel, going to doggie daycare, and has not had any issues. He is a great leash running partner. We have 3 other dogs and he gets along with them very nicely but does get protective if there are toys around, so we usually keep toys away. He loves to sleep either under our bed or on the living room couch. Potty trained!

Story
Straight from the pasture to your heart, meet the Dairy Dozen: 12 adorable pit mix puppies who look like they wandered out of a Holstein herd and into a cuddle puddle. These little sweethearts are bundles of energy named in honor of Polk County’s beloved dairy farmers—each one a tribute to the hardworking folks who keep kept our milk flowing for generations. They’re already showing smarts and spunk. These pups will thrive in active homes. Whether you’ve got a pasture, a backyard, or just a big heart, the Dairy Dozen are ready to bring joy, laughter, and a little local pride to your life. Set up a time to meet the herd—your future best friend might just be grazing in the puppy pen! If you're interested in adopting one, please fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve an appointment time. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure the puppy will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! #adoptdontshop ##2508484##

Story
I'm Ruby. I'm a great gal. I was living with my one and only person when he got sick and had to go to a nursing home. I don't know why those pesky nursing homes won't allow dogs! Anyway, that left me homeless and afraid. I was kept inside most of the time, so I will need time to adjust to a normal life - but if you'll give me a chance, I promise I will be worth it. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2638556##
