Story
*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you. If you think you are up for the challenge of a total spitfire like me, please feel free to send in an application and foster mommy can tell you more about all of the grandeur that is...CHLOE. Story
Howdy there, my name is Hara, and it's a pleasure to meet you finally! I'm a cool gal, medium-sized (20-59lbs), American Pitbull terrier looking for a forever home! I am what one might consider a seasoned veteran in being a doggy, I've done it all! I escaped a scary situation from my previous, mean owners, had a litter of puppies that are all grown and great, sleep soundly in my doggy bed, fetch and play with my toys, and so much more! I also like to run and play with my friends. We run ALOT and play and wrestle and tumble.... I would LOVE to have a dominant male dog to be my friend forever. I respond very well to a male dog who is in charge so my rescue mommy will try to find me that perfect doggy friend for me. Or I can be an only dog :) So versatile!! Since I'm an elderly lady I love exercise and activity but don't need too much of it, being a couch potato all day can be exhausting too! I'm a bit picky when it comes to people, so please be patient and calm when approaching me or getting to know me! We are all hoping I can get adopted soon, my life is on hold until I make the ULTIMATE jump to a real FUREVER HOME!!! Adoption Application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/GDR/Dog *Hara can only be adopted in Texas.* Local adoption fee $200.00 (within Texas)

Story
Taylor is sweet but shy lab mix. He is about 35-40 lbs. He was rescued from a hoarding situation of about 90 dogs, so he spent most of his life fighting for his food and not being socialized. Despite this, he has not shown any signs of aggression towards us or our other animals. We can see that he really just wants to be the BESTEST boy!! It has taken him a few weeks to warm up to us, and even then he has a ways to go before we can take him out on a leash to socialize him. He is potty trained and only had issues with marking when he first arrived, but has since stopped. He is crate trained and views his crate as his safe space when nervous or scared. He is such a sweet boy and would love a quiet FUREVER home with preferably a confident dog sibling to show him the way. He will need an adopter who is extremely patient and will let Taylor warm up in his own time. It can take months for a dog like him to be 100% comfortable in his new surroundings, but he deserves that chance. You won't regret taking the time for him because inside he is really a little goofball, just waiting to come out :) Please help us find a FUREVER home for sweet Taylor. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
It's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Walter! I like to greet people the old fashioned way, a tip of the nose, a meeting of the eyes, and a formal introduction of who I am. I've always kind of been an old-soul, at least that's what people tell me, with my wrinkled fur and gentle eyes. As an older gentleman I tend to have a bit more patience than these young whippersnapper pups. You'll find me waddling around quite slowly but my tail still wagging none the less! I have been known to snap when nervous, but I have come so far and I just need a little time and patience. Cause I just so want to be your big goofy friend! I have a soft and squishy face to go along with my squishy personality! I am great with my people and great with other dogs too. I am shy at the very first but am on the fast track to love! As a senior dog there's really only one thing I care about ... TREATS ... just kidding, it's being close to others. Being close to others helps remind me that I am here and my story is still being written with infinite possibilities. Perhaps you and I could write the next chapter together? Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Let it go, let it gooooooo ...Can't hold it back anymore ... So, yes, I am named Elsa - after THAT Elsa, too. :) I was found in February in San Antonio when the temps were below freezing and pipes were bursting and things were just not going great for many in San Antonio... Luckily for me, a kind man and his family took me in so I didn't have to stay out in the cold any longer. I am a sensitive girl - yelling and loud voices scare me. But when I know and trust you, I will give you kisses and my whole heart! I am a smart, kind, young, and beautiful brindle girl. I just need a family who will give me the time to become comfortable in my new home and show you the loving dog I was always meant to be.
