Story
Marshall and his litter mates were found on the side of a road at about 8 weeks old. I fostered him until I fell in love and adopted him. He was born June 2023. I’ve had him a year and a half. He is such a sweet, loving, high energy dog. He loves taking walks. He loves going to doggy daycare and playing with all his dog friends. He will follow me room to room until I sit down so he can snuggle on my lap. He would do best in a house with no little people. He doesn’t really enjoy their company. He would also need a fenced in yard. The only reason I am rehoming him is because I have a 10 year old son who Marshall doesn’t like to play with. We are sad but think Marshall needs to be in a quieter environment.

Story
SPECIAL-NEEDS due to being scared/shy/timid. Darla is eight years old. She came from a terrible situation where she was kept in a crate 24/7. Darla is learning that life is going to be okay. She is scared/timid/shy because she was not socialized. She has lost an eye but gets around fine. We need someone to give Darla a safe place to call her own and to let her get used to her new owners. Darla lost an eye due to some sort of infection--we do not have details from owner. She has some urine stain on her coat but that will wash away soon. If interested in more information, please call us about Darla at 314-647-1112 or info@eskierescuestl.org -- Darla will love you! (Darla is NOT housebroken but should be fairly easy to help house train her.

Please note, she is not housebroken yet but she should learn quickly with someone working with her. Hoping to place her with someone who is familiar working with small dogs and with the poodle breed. Chase is a one-year-old American Eskimo. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He is mostly housebroken. Chase is still very much a puppy so be ready for the challenge. Chase requires a physical fenced in yard and would like another dog to play with. He is very friendly and gets along with cats (although can play rough sometimes). Chase is mostly housebroken. If interested in Chase, please call 314-647-1112.

Story
Mindy is very special needs. She is fearful of new people and does not like other dogs. However, she loves whoever takes care of her and probably likes women more than men. If someone has a fenced yard and not a lot of foot traffic into the home, Mindy is very good. She is just not trusting of new people. She loves her caretaker and is very obedient to caretaker. Mindy is completely housebroken. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Someone just needs to know her situation and keep her safe. Mindy needs someone who is experienced with dogs and would be careful with her around people.

Story
Maple is a 2.5-year-old French Brittany who packs a whole lot of charm into her perfect 25-pound frame. Her foster family lovingly calls her “Meatball,” and honestly…it fits. She’s adorable, goofy, snuggly, and absolutely devoted to her people. Maple LOVES car rides, plush toys, and curling up next to you for belly rubs. She didn’t get much freedom or enrichment in her early life and likely spent most of her time in a kennel, so she came to us needing a refresher on potty training and some basic house habits. She’s made steady progress but still needs a patient family willing to keep her routine consistent. She can be a bit curious and may check out items that aren’t technically “hers,” so keeping tempting things out of reach and offering plenty of dog-safe toys will set her up for success. Maple does well in her kennel when her people are out of the house. She may give a little protest bark at first (she just has to make sure you know she has notes), but she settles down and rests quietly once she realizes she’s safe. Maple is not a dog that can live with or closely interact with other dogs. Through training, she has made progress in calmly seeing dogs at a distance with positive reinforcement, but pushing those interactions too quickly can cause anxiety for her. For her comfort and safety, she must be an only dog, and a fenced-in yard (ideally privacy fenced) would suit her best so she can explore and enjoy the outdoors stress-free. She’s playful, affectionate, and incredibly people-oriented. Maple has mastered “sit", and is working on more tricks, but needs a little patience since she isn’t very food motivated. Maple is spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Now she’s just waiting for a family who sees how special she is and can give her the structure, love, and dog-free home she deserves. Maple is currently in foster care in Wisconsin and has an adoption donation fee of $400.  If you are interested in adopting her and have been approved to adopt, let your state coordinator know you are interested in her.  If you haven’t yet done so, please go to: https://www.nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application to fill out an application.  Your state coordinator will contact you and take you through the approval process.  If your application looks like a possible fit for her, your coordinator will contact Maple’s coordinator and continue the screening process. Maple’s state coordinator is Hallie Barbara. She can be reached at Minnesotabrittany@gmail.com for questions or inquires.   Thank you for considering this sweet girl.  December 15, 2025, 9:27 am
