Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Penelope, through no fault of her own, is losing her home of 4 years. We are looking for a foster or foster to adopt home for this incredible dog.  Meet Penelope Penelope is a 6-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for her people. At around 55 pounds, she’s the perfect medium-sized companion who’s just as happy curling up next to you on the couch as she is heading out for a walk.  Penelope does well with people of all ages, including babies and young children and has lived with a cat without issue. While she has not lived with a dog in a few years, she did well with dogs in her previous foster home. She’s a very smart girl who knows basic commands like sit and stay and could easily be trained for more. She is house-trained, however she needs a twice-weekly medication to manage mild incontinence. Penelope would do best in a home that can offer her consistency, patience, and plenty of companionship and exercise. She prefers not to be left alone for long periods and can feel anxious when separated from her people, so a household where someone is home most of the time would be ideal. Penelope is a loving, loyal companion who will flourish in a home ready to give her the structure, attention, and exercise she deserves. In return, she’ll offer endless affection, companionship, and plenty of cozy moments by your side. Story
Auggie is looking for a foster or adopter.  Not only is he incredibly handsome, he’s smart & athletic too!  He would excel at agility or parkour!  Running buddy, you bet! Hiking, let’s go!  He’s also a tug-o-war enthusiast.  Auggie is approximately 1.5yo, up to date on shots, neutered & microchipped.   He would be best as your only four-legged companion or could possibly live with other dogs after decompression & SLOW introductions.   The shelter & other dogs stress him out, so after he has a walk/potty break the volunteers love to let him hang out with them while they clean.  He loves to just grab a bone or rope toy & entertains himself, that’s his version of helping.   If interested in meeting Auggie, please complete an application at sapamo-rescue.org. March 7, 2026, 10:07 pm

Karma is approximately 5-5-1/2 yo, spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative & ~65 lbs.  Karma is super fun, loving, athletic and loves the water. She would love to be adventurous with you or just snuggle on the couch & binge watch some tv. Spayed, utd on vaccines, heartworm negative & microchipped. She keeps a clean kennel, not a fan of cats & with proper introduction would probably be OK living with another (male) dog. Story
I agreed to foster Neo for a homeless man while he looked for a shelter that would take a puppy. Long story short, he disappeared. So I got NEO (the man named him) neutered, all his shots, housebroken and crate trained. He is great with other dogs and cats. People, he takes a while to warm up to, women faster than men. He loves raw hide bones, ice cubes and blueberries. He is 7 months so he still has lots of puppy energy. With his long legs, he loves to run in my neighbors' backyard, so if you have a big backyard and another dog he will be in 7th heaven. I fostered him so he could have a good life and that's what I'm trying to do now.

Story
Tango is a gentle 9-year-old terrier mix weighing just 12 pounds, with a heart that craves love and connection—on his own terms. He adores attention and affection and is happiest when his person sits nearby, talks to him, and showers him with gentle love. While he isn’t a lapdog, Tango enjoys being close and feeling included. Tango also appreciates his independence and likes having time to himself. He’s perfectly content relaxing quietly on his own, making him a great match for a calm household that respects his need for personal space. He enjoys life’s simple pleasures: going outside and laying in the sun, chewing on bully sticks and other chewies, and playing with toys—especially ones that make noise or have squeakers. Tango would enjoy regular walks and, as long as he’s walked frequently and monitored on a leash, he does not require a fenced yard. He should not be left unsupervised outside. Tango gets along well with other dogs, particularly those his own size, and would do well in a home with or without other dogs. He’s happy sharing space but doesn’t demand constant interaction. At night, Tango snuggles into his comfy doggie bed in his foster mom’s bedroom and sleeps quietly through the night. While other dogs may climb into the big bed, Tango prefers his own cozy spot—comforted simply by knowing his person is nearby. With his peaceful temperament, gentle affection, and independent streak, Tango would thrive in a quiet, loving home where companionship is balanced with respect for his space. If you’re looking for a sweet senior dog who offers calm devotion without being clingy, Tango is ready to find his forever home. Tango is neutered, up to date on all his vaccinations, is heartworm negative and on heartworm preventative. He’s had a dental, is microchipped and dewormed. Tango’s adoption fee is $300. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. If you're looking for a very sweet and lovable little guy to join your family, please fill out an application on AAP’s website.
