Story
Stella Barbara (aka Marge) is a 7 year old female German Shephard/Lab mix. She just recovered from an ACL surgery and has a her other knee scheduled for 10/1. It’s an 8 week recovery period in which we are willing to rehab. We have had her since a puppy and are looking for an “open adoption” type of situation. We would love opportunities to visit and get updates on her well-being. She is great with people and kids. She does love food, so keep it high. She needs a home in-which she is the only pet. Having an active family and/or large property with access to outdoor space is ideal. She has attacked our other dog a couple times which is why we are looking for a new loving home for her. Our hearts ache making this decision. As people know, dogs are apart of your family. We love her, we just can’t provide the quality of life she deserves.

Story
Diesel's last family couldn't keep him, but he's making fast friends here at the APA. He seems low energy, is housetrained, and walks nicely on a leash. He has previously lived with other dogs and also kids! He knows a couple commands, too! He likes napping in the office at the shelter and would love a home with soft bed near you.
