Story
Hi, I’m Tango! I’m an 8 year old Terrier mix, weigh 12 lbs, and am a quiet little guy. My owner passed away, so I’m just staying to myself, trying to make sense of everything. I crave attention and love, and really like it when my foster mom sits and talks to me and loves on me, but I’m not really much of a lapdog. If I’m in her lap, it’s only for a brief moment and then I’m gone again. I sleep in a large crate at night, with lots of blankets and stuffed animals. I snuggle in and sleep quietly through the night. I’m enjoying chewing on bully sticks and other chewies, and playing with toys that make noise or have squeakers in them. I do like to go outside, and foster mom says that I’m a “work in progress” with my potty training. I get along well with other dogs (small dogs 20 lbs. or less), and would do well in a home with or without doggies. I do tend to vocalize quite loudly when playing, and might not do well in an apartment setting. I would do well in a home with younger people (no toddlers or babies) and adults. I would enjoy walks, and as long as I’m walked frequently and monitored on a leash, I do not require a fence. Please don’t leave me unsupervised outside; I would want your attention all the time. Since my owner passed away, I need someone who is going to re-teach me some of the rules about going potty, learning to snuggle with the family, you know…all that stuff. Tango is neutered, up to date on all his vaccinations, is heartworm negative and on heartworm preventative. He’s had a dental, is microchipped and dewormed. Tango’s adoption fee is $300. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. If you're looking for a very sweet and lovable little guy to join your family, please fill out an application on AAP’s website.

Story
Pebbles is a sweet and loving 9-year-old girl who simply wants someone to love her. She rides well in the car and enjoys being with her people. On leash, Pebbles can pull and may cough when she does, so she must be walked using a harness for her comfort and safety. She will need a securely fenced yard. Pebbles likes to bark when the other dogs bark, but she doesn’t always know when to stop, so apartment living would not be a good fit for her. She is doing great with pottying outside. While she hasn’t shown much interest in toys, she recently discovered Nyla bones and absolutely loves chewing on them. Pebbles isn’t a fan of cold weather and may hesitate to go outside to potty, but with a little encouragement, she will happily follow you out. Pebbles would do well as an only dog or with another dog in the home. She’s a gentle, affectionate companion ready to spend her golden years in a loving forever home. Pebbles is spayed, had a dental, up to date on all vaccines, had a heart worm test, on heartworm preventative, de-wormed, and microchipped. Pebble’s adoption fee is $300.00. Story
Mia is a 6-year-old mini poodle who came from a puppy mill where she was tossed aside when she was no longer making the mill any money. We are thrilled she made it out of that life and into rescue. Mia is excited to start a new journey and is looking for a patient person who will give her time to shine. Mia has made so much progress since coming into rescue. She is an excellent snuggle buddy, does well going on walks, is a great car rider, and is making good progress with her potty skills. Mia will do best in a calm household with adults only. At this time, she does seem a little more comfortable with females. Mia can be vocal at times, so apartment life is not be a good fit for her. A home with a secure fenced yard is preferred so she can safely explore. While another pup in the home is not necessary, Mia would be fine with another canine to help her learn to dog. She really is quite sweet and will make a wonderful little companion. Mia is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, heart worm negative, on heartworm preventative, had a dental, de-wormed, and microchipped. Mia’s adoption fee is $350.00. Story
Charlie is a sweet 3-year-old guy who just needs a little time and patience to feel safe with new people. Once he trusts you, he becomes the most loyal companion—your shadow, your buddy, and your biggest fan. He’ll gladly follow you everywhere with his gentle devotion. Charlie is doing great with his potty training and loves spending time in a fenced yard, especially if there are squirrels to chase! He rides well in the car and would do fine either as the only dog or with another calm canine friend. He’s still working on his leash-walking skills and hasn’t shown interest in toys, but he makes up for it with his affectionate nature. Because he can be a barker, Charlie would not be a good fit for apartment living. He also needs a home without small children. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will love you deeply once he feels safe, Charlie might be the perfect match. All he needs is someone willing to give him the time and space to flourish. Charlie is neutered, up to date on Rabies, DHPP, and heart worm test, he is also dewormed and microchipped. Charlie’s adoption fee is $375.00

Boo Boo is a 5-year-old, 6-pound sweetheart who truly believes laps were made just for him. All he wants is someone to love him and keep him close. He enjoys car rides, walks nicely on a leash, and is doing great with going potty outside. Boo Boo loves playing with toys and is happy whether he has a canine buddy or is the only dog soaking up all the attention. A fenced yard is not required, as Boo Boo stays close to his person. Because he is so tiny, he would not be a good fit for a home with small children. Story
This sweet Shih Tzu mix with beautiful, flowing hair is 2 years old and ready to find his forever home. Georgie is looking for an experienced owner with plenty of patience and understanding. He’s come from a challenging situation, so he needs someone who will give him the time and space to build trust at his own pace.
