Story
Is that Cloud 9 you’re floating on, or did you just meet Odin? This big Great Pyrenees boy is 82 pounds of fluff, love, and pure joy. Odin is 3-years-old and was rescued from Windsor, South Carolina. His long white coat highlights the touches of grey and tan on his ears and face. Odin is very fluffy and does love his visits to the groomer, and he’d love to live in a cooler climate where he can relax and enjoy life indoors and out. Don’t let those gorgeous, introspective eyes deceive—this boy can be a bit of a chatterbox and quite enjoys talking about his day. We think he’s an old soul who has a lot of life stories to tell. Odin would be great in a home with kids, and he does well with other big dogs. He is a large breed and would appreciate another big friend to hang out with. He gets short bouts of zoomies, but really, who actually wants to run when you can just nap? Odin is the cuddle bug of your dreams. When you aren’t busy binging the newest summer reality shows with him, Odin would be happy to accompany you on walks through the neighborhood or around town. He’s so handsome and fluffy that people are naturally drawn to him, so expect to draw some attention when you hang out with this stud. During his many naps, Odin dreams of a family who will give him the love and attention he deserves. Won’t you bring this gentle giant home and give him the world? Odin is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. Odin's adoption fee is $550. **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. Everybody say hello to ALVIN! 🤍 Alvin is ready to bring some fun and excitement into your life! This 9-month-old Great Pyrenees, weighing between 58 pounds, simply cannot wait to meet you. Rescued as a stray from Windsor, South Carolina, Alvin has thrived under the care and love he received at Home for Good. Alvin's personality is as big as his heart. He is fun-loving and always eager to lead the way into new adventures. Whether he's exploring, sniffing around, or meeting new people, Alvin's outgoing nature shines through. He loves to give hugs and isn't shy about placing his giant paws on you to get your attention. Despite his size, the irony of this large boy being named after a chipmunk isn't lost on us. Alvin would thrive in a home with a fenced-in yard where he can run and play. He also enjoys walks around town, hiking trips, and relaxing in a cool, comfortable home. Alvin is great with dogs, cats, and kids who have experience with big dogs, making him the perfect addition to any family. This entertaining and lovable guy would look even more charming in a red sweater with a big "A" on it during the winter months. Alvin is ready to bring a smile to your face every day and has already told the witch doctor that he's in love with you! Apply to adopt at www.homeforgooddogs.org! ❤️ Alvin is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. Story
Watch out, cause here we come! We’re the Chipmunks! Meet the three guys guaranteed to make your day—Alvin, Simon, and Theodore! These Great Pyrenees brothers were rescued together and given a lot of TLC here at Home for Good. They have absolutely flourished and are bringing their stunning cuteness and entertaining personalities to the stage. These three fellas were strays rescued from Windsor, South Carolina. They are 9 months old and each weigh between 55 and 60 pounds with a bit of growing to do. All three are the sweetest guys in the world, and they are so excited to tell you more about themselves. Simon says “give me treats.” Simon says “scratch my ears.” Now touch your nose. Ope, Simon didn’t say! Little smarty pants—that’s Simon! This fella is so smart and loving. He is a very submissive and gentle guy who loves to boop your leg with his nose to get your attention. His silly nature is similar to his siblings’. He may even try to convince you that he needs glasses, but he doesn’t—he just thinks they make him look smarter. Simon is a go with the flow kind of guy who is just happy to play or relax. Simon is a lovebug through and through, and he is so ready to love you! Simon does great with other dogs, cats, and kids with big dog experience, and he would make a wonderful family member to any sized family looking to add a soft, fluffy cloud to the mix. Just look at that smile and imagine how adorable it would look in your family Christmas card photos. He could wear a blue sweater, perhaps? He loves the holidays and may want a hula-hoop or two! If you’re looking for the best guy to be a part of your life, look no further than this fluffy boy. Simon says “adopt me!” Simon is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. Meet Thelma! Thelma is a 1 to 2-year-old 57-pound Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Sheperd mix. Thelma is as sweet as she is beautiful. Thelma does great in a crate and on a leash. She is good with all children big and small and every dog she meets. Thelma's favorite thing to do is romp around with her doggy friends! She is very smart, eager to learn, and very treat motivated. Thelma had blood work at her recent vet visit. Interested in becoming a forever home for Thelma? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws. We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Thelma. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Thelma the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Meet Peppermint "Patty"! Patty is a 17.5-pound 12-week-old puppy. We think Patty is a Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Sheperd mix, but she may even have a bit of Labrador Retriever in her! Patty is very sweet and very playful. She loves to be loved on but equally loves romping around with the other doggies. Patty has done well with all of the friends she has met, children and dogs alike. She is already crate-trained and doing really well on leash training. Patty still needs a bit of help with potty training and more work on a leash to make walks fun and exciting! Interested in becoming a forever home for Patty? Story
Meet Wrex! This handsome ball of fluff is a Great Pyrenees (maybe mix) and is 2o pounds at 13 weeks old. Wrex loves all that life has to offer. He has the typical fun puppy energy that loves to eat, then will play hard until he drops, then sleep hard until it is time to eat again! Wrex has never met a stranger and loves new doggie and human friends alike. Wrex has started crate training and does pretty well as long as he is full and had time to play. He has also started potty pad training and tries really hard to get to the pee pad when he needs to go, though he sometimes still thinks the pee pad is a toy. Wrex is sure to make the perfect fun addition to any family! Interested in becoming this pup’s forever home? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application.
