Story
Eldora was brought in with her friend, Charlie, because their family was moving. She is one of the sweetest girls we've ever had at the shelter. She loves to play outside with Charlie and will play with other dogs thru the fence running up and down the yard. She adores children and has a great way of convincing people to rub her belly. Eldora also loves to chase tennis balls! Please call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip). For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. Join us on Facebook athttps://www.facebook.com/moaspets. It's a great way to stay up to the minute on the furry 4 legged friends we have looking for a loving forever home. We are located at:1888 Colbert Danielsville Rd Danielsville, GA 30633 706-795-2868NOTE: Our adoptions are first come first served, simply filling out an application does not mean the animal will be held for you, you must come meet the animal in person in order to be considered for adoption. If you rent you must bring your lease or a letter from your landlord stating you may adopt.

Story
Meet Gunnar! Gunnar is a 5 month old husky mix. He weighs 40 pounds but still has lots of growing to do. He is playful and friendly with everyone- he loves kids, other dogs, and playing all day!! However, he does love to chase cats. He is learning how to walk on a leash and working on his puppy manners. Gunnar does crate well but he would rather be right by your side. He is a rambunctious boy and he does need some manners around little kids- he has no idea how much he weighs and will jump right into you. For an adult, this is manageable. For a little kid, he will knock them over. Ideally in a home with little kids, he would do best with an owner who is use to training and setting boundaries with a puppy and kids who are not going to be afraid of a puppy who is learning how to be a respectful family member. Gunnar is mostly housetrained, but does have the occasional accident if he left inside for too long- he is still a puppy after all! If you are interested in adopting Gunnar, please fill out an application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY-A-7766 **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete. When filling out an application, please check for a confirmation email to be sure that your application went through. We respond by email, so please check your spam and trash folders. If you need to reach us regarding your application, the best way to contact us is through email.** We are located in Fayette County, GA and are a foster based rescue without a shelter building.

Story
His name is Jokka. He is a 2 year old Siberian Husky (85%) Alaskan Malamute (15%). I have had him since he was born. He is house trained and does well with other dogs and kids. He is very playful but unfortunately due to asthma and my busy work schedule its even more challenging trying to balance the two. A home with a nice fenced in backyard and an owner who can give him attention and love is what would be ideal for Jokka. He loves belly rubs.
