Story
Meet Cotton Candy! Meet the sweetest, funniest, goofiest boy around. Cotton is a little over a year old and full of Aussie energy. Cotton is looking for a family that has a great sense of humor and an understanding of the needs of this fun breed.Cotton is a double merle as is evident by his fluffy, white coat. It also can impact vision and hearing. In Cotton's case he is completely deaf but does have some vision- mainly shadows. But this has ZERO effect on this boy and the wonderful life he will live!Cotton loves playing with other dogs and is generally fantastic with them- he is still a young, male Aussie that can't always read other dog's signals. Occasionally, he irks his companions but he's a quick study and rarely repeats a misstep. He has been as respectful as he's able to with the resident cats. Cotton loves all humans he meets- big and small!Cotton is a good boy in his crate and has (knocks on wood) figured out house training like a champ. Cotton loves to go for runs with his foster dad and is great at it. He'd be a wonderful training companion. Cotton is an active boy and needs to keep his brain and body busy. He's smart and willing. Training him is a joy!Cotton is looking for a family that will encourage, train and help him continue to live a wonderfully full life. Herding dog knowledge is helpful but not necessary if you are willing and able to provide him the stimulation he needs. He does need another, welcoming dog in his new home. The give him a familiar, easy way to learn his new environment.Cotton will be endless laughs and the occasional head shake for his new family. They will truly be the lucky ones!So cute! Super cute!Cotton has been neutered, microchipped and is up to date on his vaccinations. He has also tested negative for heartworm disease. His adoption fee is $450.00 plus sales tax. Please submit an adoption application if you have questions about Cotton or would like to meet him.

Story
Ethan is a steady little fellow who is more calm than the average pup his age, which is true of his whole litter. They are certainly playful but they are easy to live with and not overly demanding. He is making great headway on house breaking. He is crated at night and during the work day with a break during the day at about 5 hours. He is just a nice little boy who we thought was going to be bigger than it now appears. Ethan would likely fit in well with any family with the time and motivation to have a pup. He is darn cute and a foster and neighbor favorite. Ethan appears to be a Shepherd cross who was born 11-21-23. Mommy is a German Shep x and is pictured. Who was daddy? We have NO clue. We believe Ethan he will be in the upper end of mid-sized when full grown, likely 50-60#. He is white with black and tan markings and is quite handsome. Ethan and 5 siblings were surrendered because the owner wanted them to get good homes and felt she would not be able to find suitable owners. Puppy arrived in good health and well cared for. The little dog family had been living in a remote rural area and spent much of their time outdoors. Ethan is outgoing, friendly, and is used to being around other dogs and puppies. He loves to cuddle with the adult dogs and pups in the foster home. He walks well on a leash for a puppy and enjoys walks with his four legged friends. We are making best guess about breed. DNA testing from Dogs from the area often have 20 or more breeds in their lineage. Common breeds in the area are German Shepherds, Kelpies, Border Collies, labs, and Aussies. The DNA nearly always includes a wee bit of Chihuahua and some husky. The early months are when puppy learns the social skills needed to be a skilled dog in dealing with other dogs and a good citizen in the human world. Adopters should be committed to getting puppy into lots of new and different human social situations, hearing vacuums, trucks, and rattling garbage cans, meeting people who are clapping, laughing, with hats, tools, bikes and skate boards. AND puppy needs many opportunities to meet and greet dogs of all shapes, sizes and dispositions. Just sharing a home with another dog is not as much doggie socializing as puppy needs. If good canine social skills are not learned and maintained during these early months, it will be very difficult to ever master them. Puppy play dates, trips to the pet store, puppy socialization classes and later, obedience classes are particularly important. If all this doggie time and involvement seems like a good idea, you are up for a puppy! As always, a tired dog is a good dog. Ethan has been vaccinated and wormed. He will need two more routine vaccination plus rabies at the owner’s expense. The $375 adoption fee (check or cash) includes the cost of pup’s required spay/neuter at 6 months of age provided it is done by one of the PUP vets. We do place puppies outside the metro area but a plan for the required spay/neuter must be in place. We do not ship. If you are at least 21 years old and everyone in your household is on board with adopting a puppy, CALL 651-645-4370 between 7:00 am and 9:30 pm and we will return your call within 24 hours. If you elect to contact us via e-mail it may take several weeks for us to get back to you. Renters must provide proof that you are allowed to have a puppy. If you currently have a companion dog or cat please be prepared to provide a vet reference prior to adoption if requested.

Story
Location: Litchfield, MN Clod aka Bennie! This handsome, loveable guy is a super sweet, super smart, well-behaved dog looking for a great home. He loves being outside and enjoys burning energy while outside. He does well on a leash but does tug a bit on his morning walk. His nose is always sniffing the ground and the air when he is out for his first walk. In the house he is pretty chill and spends a lot of time relaxing and looking out the window. He absolutely loves people and is often interested in being close to you. He loves snuggling and pets/scratches of all sorts. He also knows when and how to give you your space. You can ask him to lay down and he will do just that. He has not chewed anything that was not his but absolutely loves chewing on his Kong. Bennie (Clod) is house trained and crate trained (sometimes needs a treat incentive). He also sits on command and will sit down quietly to have his paws cleaned after a walk. He loves the attention of being brushed as well. Bennie has done great with kids and he rarely barks. One thing he needs to work on is jumping up. He gets really excited in the morning and after school and wants to be close to everyone. If you are looking for a loyal, sweet dog who is looking to please his humans, Bennie (Clod) is your guy! ---------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (Distemper, Rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are a best guess.

Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD Hi! I'm Violet and this is my big debut. I am officially available to find my furever home! I am a little girl, only 4 months old, and full of sweet puppy personality. Foster mom says I am a smart little girl who mastered potty training and kennel training the first week in my foster home. Now we are working on my manners and learning to sit and walk on a leash. I like treats so I am pretty motivated to learn. I love to play outside with the other dogs in my foster home running and chasing each other around. The snow doesn't bother me at all. When foster mom calls my name I know its time to come inside. Although inside isn't as as fun as playing outside I love playing with my stuffies or chewing on one of my favorite benebones. I really like to be around my foster family. They let me cuddle up and sit next to them on the couch when I need a nap. And they play with me too. Foster mom say I have not shown any food aggression, even when the resident dogs try to help me finish my meals. I use a slow bowl to eat right now because I eat so fast. I am still learning that I will never have to worry about having an empty belly ever again. I was a little shy when I first came to my foster home, but I get lots of love and attention, so I warmed up quickly. Now I love to give everyone puppy kisses. If you would like to know more about me or meet me please fill out an application. Foster mom says she would love to talk to you and she promises the perfect family is out there waiting for me. I hope you like my pictures. Foster mom says I have the cutest little nose. ---------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
I am Keno. I am from Missouri. From the foster: Keno is timid, sweet and docile. He loves friendly dogs and stays near our resident dog like Velcro, but he is very shy with people. He will do best in a home with another friendly, confident dog to help him gain confidence and patient adopters who are willing to help him continue learning to trust. We are working on house training. Keno is an active boy who does well on leash and enjoys his daily walks, as well as running around in a fenced yard. He recently joined our rescue and still requires a harness and leash when outside in the yard, as he will rarely come inside on his own. We are working on making people less scary to him. Keno is 7.5 years old and has a heart murmur. He shows no sign of it slowing him down. He's an energetic boy. Medical Bio: "Hi! I'm Keno, my foster mom said the vet told her I have a heart murmur that they graded 3/6. X-rays did not show any signs of heart failure which is great news. The cardiologist report concluded normal heart size and a good prognosis even with the murmur. My adopters should plan on check ups every 6-12 months to monitor this going forward. Overall I am healthy and clear to be adopted and proceed with the dental procedure that I need in a few months. The vet will use heart safe anesthetic protocols to make sure everything goes smoothly. At my exam I was also treated for an ear infection and started on a weight loss plan which my future family should continue to make sure I can have a well lived and long life! The Bond Between will cover medical expenses for the dental and an upcoming ear recheck to make sure my infection was cleared. I can't wait to meet you and settle into my furever home!"

Story
Hi. I'm Stoat but my foster family named me Hamilton--"Hammy" for short because I'm such a ham! From the foster: Hammy is a bundle of joy and a heart-stealer from the moment you lay eyes on him. This pint-sized pup, with his fluffy fur and twinkling eyes is ready to shower his new family with boundless love and endless tail wags. While he is recovering from surgery (see note from the vet below), he doesn't let that stop him from living life to the fullest! He loves to play, snuggle, & explore. He's great with dogs and children of all ages. He hasn't been tested with cats, but given his personality, I imagine he would do well with cats who also like to play. Hammy knows some basic obedience and is quickly learning more (sit, lay down, shake). He is crate trained and potty trained too! Hammy is very adaptable to different lifestyles. The main consideration his new family should have, is someone committed to fulfilling his activity needs given his age and breed type. Hammy can't wait to meet his furever family! Could you be them? Please apply to learn more about Hammy and/or to setup a meet & greet. From the vet team My name is Stoat and I had a bit of an accident so I came back to SHH for the amazing vet care they were able to provide. I sustained a fracture in both of my rear legs that was promptly repaired by our orthopedic specialist. She recommended a recheck around early to mid January (and possibly one more recheck pending healing progress) and I will have to get my stitches out soon. The surgical implants that were placed will in most cases like mine not cause any problems, but in some cases may need to be taken out if they seem to be hurting me or my growth as I heal over the next 6-12 weeks. This would all be covered by SHH, but any other care outside of taking care of the fracture would be the responsibility of my new adopters. For a full 8 weeks after 12/5 when my surgery took place, my future adopters should take care to restrict my activity and exercise to allow for the best healing journey possible. Hope to meet you soon and settle into my new furever!
