Story

We adopted Loki from a foster home when he was around the age of 1 Year. We brought him into our home where he became a loving member of the family. He quickly bonded on the car ride with our son who was at the age of 7 at the time. He’s been such a fun and loving animal. He LOVES to play catch. We’ve only had him for about 4 years. We had the best time with him. Walking, hiking, camping, playing. He would wrestle with our son. Yes they would wrestle! When we got him he was trained to play soccer, lay down when other dogs pass by, and all the commands you can think of. Unfortunately for the past 2 years we moved and my wife had another child. Our work schedules demanded more from us, my wife and I ended up having less time to spend with him almost leaving him neglected and we feel horrible about it. We are now making another move soon and we will be downsizing and unfortunately big dogs are not allowed… it is with sad heart that we must find a new loving home for him.

Zola is a beautiful, intelligent 1-year-old, 55lb spayed female who I believe is a Husky/Shepherd mix. She was rescued from the streets and recently adopted, but due to changes with my work; she needs a home that can better match her energy and needs. She’s incredibly loving, playful, and smart—quick to learn, eager to please, and well-mannered in the home. She thrives with yard space, people who are home often, and ideally another dog to help her feel secure and fulfilled. Regularly enjoys trips to doggie daycare and behaves when there! Despite her young age, she has a wonderful temperament: affectionate, social, and always ready for fun. She bonds deeply and would be an amazing companion for someone with an active lifestyle or a household that enjoys spending time with their dogs. She deserves a home where she can flourish, stretch her legs, and soak up all the affection she gives right back. If you think you might be a match for Zola, she’d love to meet you.

She was found chained between tall stacks of pallets in her own feces with rats running around. The Donor who has kept her safe can no longer keep her so she must find a place to go. She often rests at someone’s feet, eager to meet their needs and to receive affection in return. She did experience trauma as a puppy growing up on the streets, is cautious but capable of forming strong bonds with those who earn her trust. Luna Brigette can have resource guarding issues with other dogs when food is involved and can be wary of new situations. She is loyal and conducts herself with dignity, she is very well behaved indoors. She is very food motivated and trainable. Luna Brigette is up to date on vaccines, spayed and housetrained. She and her sisters (Monica and Menush) were rescued from homeless drug addicts living in a bad part of town (Watts) along the railroad tracks. She is very sweet, affectionate and loves kids. She does have a bit of guard dog in her but warms up quickly. She is good with other dogs and walks nicely on leash. Rachel needs an adopter who will continue training with her and that can provide mental and physical stimulation with walks, hikes and other adventures. She is up to date on vaccines and spayed.
