Story
This sweet girl, estimated to be about 2 years old and weighing in at 20 pounds, has had a rough start to life, but she’s ready to turn the page and find her forever home. When she first came to us as a stray, she was in pain from a full vaginal prolapse that had likely troubled her for quite some time. Thankfully, she received treatment, and now she’s healed, healthy, and ready to enjoy life to the fullest! While we don’t know all the details of her past, it’s clear she hasn’t always had the easiest time with humans. Cantaloupe can be a little shy and anxious around new people, but once she realizes she’s safe, she shows just how loving and loyal she can be. She’s looking for a patient, gentle owner who will give her the space to decompress and shower her with the affection she’s been missing. At only two years old, Cantaloupe has her whole life ahead of her, and she’s ready to make it full of play, cuddles, and adventures. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, enjoys playtime and socializing, and is happiest when she can join in the fun. With her human friends, she just needs a little time to warm up, but once she trusts you, you’ll have a devoted new BFF who loves to snuggle and hang out by your side.Cantaloupe would thrive in a quiet, loving home where she can feel safe and cherished. She’s sweet, resilient, and ready to bloom into the happy, carefree, spunky girl she was always meant to be. Could your home be the place where Cantaloupe finally feels safe, loved, and at peace? Please inquire today!

Story
This lanky 22 pound sweetheart is estimated to be around 4 years old, and he’s already had quite the journey. Markie was found wandering the streets all alone and it was clear life hadn’t been very gentle with him. When he first arrived, his skin was in rough shape from flea allergies and he had lost a lot of fur. He also had a severely damaged, bulging eye that had no vision and caused him discomfort. But here’s the good news! Markie is a fighter, and he’s come a long way. His bad eye has been removed, his skin has healed, and his fur is growing back soft, shiny, and absolutely beautiful. He has taken every change in stride and adjusted to his new one-eyed life like a total champ. You truly would never guess how much he’s been through based on how well he's doing today.Markie has spent some time with us while getting all of his medical needs addressed, and now he’s feeling better than ever and ready for his forever home. Honestly the only thing he’s missing is someone to love! Personality-wise Markie is the full package. He’s tall, handsome, and has a huge heart to match. He’s social, friendly, playful, and loves meeting new people. He does well with other dogs and really thrives when he gets to be part of the action. He’s got a silly side, a sweet side, and a spirited side all wrapped up in one adorable, slightly lopsided, extremely lovable dog.Markie would do best in a semi-active or active home with someone who wants a companion to join them on life’s adventures. Walks, hikes, outings, or just exploring the neighborhood - he’s in! He’s ready to soak up every ounce of love and consistency he missed out on before. After everything he has endured, Markie is more than ready to settle into a home where he will finally be cherished. He’s special, he’s resilient, and he’s so deserving of a family who will see just how amazing he is. Interested in giving Markie the happy ending he’s waited for? Please inquire today!

Story
Meet Sloan, a resilient little girl who has faced more challenges than most. Sloan's journey began when she was found as a stray and brought to a local city shelter. The shelter environment, coupled with the uncertainties of her past, left Sloan overwhelmed with stress and anxiety. Her reactivity during the intake exam put her at risk for euthanasia, but fortunately, we were able to intervene and bring her into our care.Since being rescued, Sloan has been slowly decompressing, finding solace in a more nurturing environment. While we may not know Sloan's full history, it's evident that she's experienced hardships that have left a lasting impact. What she needs now is a patient and understanding adopter who is willing to take things slow and allow her the time to build trust.Sloan's journey to recovery is a testament to her resilience, and we believe that with the right person by her side, she can overcome her past and flourish in a loving home. Gaining her trust is key, and the way to her heart is through food and treats – she is a pug after all!For optimal success, Sloan's new home should be without small children, providing her with the quiet and calm environment she needs to feel secure. She also would do best in a home without cats. Additionally, a household where her owner is not frequently absent for long periods would be ideal. Sloan is looking for someone who understands the importance of patience and is committed to helping her regain the sense of safety and love that has eluded her for far too long.If you're ready to open your heart and home to Sloan, offering her the patience and care she deserves, you'll be rewarded with the joy of witnessing this resilient pug blossom into the loving companion she's meant to be. Story
Mamba is a sweet and sensitive 5-year-old boy who found his way to us after his previous owners had a baby and felt he might struggle with the changes in the household. Mamba does have some personality quirks that need a little extra patience and understanding. He’s not fond of sudden movements and prefers not to have his ears touched. When he arrived at the rescue, he had a pretty bad face and ear infection, so it’s possible that some of his reactivity stemmed from pain or discomfort. With a slow, gentle approach and the right space to feel comfortable and safe, Mamba opens up and shows his true, affectionate nature. He’s a wonderful little guy who enjoys the company of people he trusts. He will take some time to warm up to you but with slow and patient dedication to him he will thrive! He isn't the biggest fan of being around other dogs so he would do best as your one and only. Due to his sensitivity, he would also do best in a home without young children and with someone who can be patient as he learns to trust.Mamba is looking for an experienced, understanding owner who can give him the time and attention he needs to flourish. With the right person, Mamba will truly blossom and become the loving companion he’s meant to be. If you're interested in helping this sweet boy reach his full potential, please inquire today!
