Story
Rescued from an area shelter, Wyatt had come in as a stray. They suspected that he had been attacked because of the multiple injuries and lacerations on him. He also had hundreds of foxtails embedded in his fur that took days and finally a medicated bath to clear out. When we saw the photos sent out by the shelter, we knew that we had to help. Through it all, Wyatt has been sweet and very tolerant of all the handling he needed, even by strangers. This handsome boy is 1 year and was in desperate need of some extra TLC and medical care. We are happy to report that he is healthy. He is meeting lots of new friends, human and dog, and seeks out affection and play. He loves toys, which he likes to carry, toss and de-stuff himself. He is comfortable on the soft couch and dog-bed but he also likes hanging out in the backyard. Wyatt is gaining the confidence, training and experience a youngster needs. He is housetrained, neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations. He is not going to be the dog to go on long walks or hikes but he will enjoy playtime with other dogs. He can adjust his playstyle but he really likes playing with other rough and tumble dogs. If you are looking for a very sweet, affectionate boy who is looking to love and be loved, then Wyatt is your guy.

Story
Clifford reminds us of Scooby-Do but he is not as big. He is 3 years old and an agile 45 lbs. If you are looking for a sleek, sweet and sensational pup, Clifford is your guy. He would love a house full of tennis balls. He can play fetch endlessly but will not keep bugging you when you stop playing. He alerts you to strangers at the door but will quiet down once you reassure him that they are OK. We describe him as a super mutt as we assume that he has lots of different dogs DNA. He has lived with another dog, cat and infants to toddlers. He likes to snuggle on the couch or will lay down on the floor with his head resting on your feet.

Story
This happy-go-lucky guy has just arrived from the shelter and is settling into his foster home like he’s always been there. Odie is a little over 5 years old, but more than a little over his ideal weight at 90 pounds, so his fosters have already gone to work to help him slim down. He’s getting good nutrition plus more exercise than he’s had in a long time and is loving all of it because he is such a good sport about everything. He loves playing fetch, going for walks and playing with his two doggie foster siblings. We weren’t sure how that would go at first, because they are fun size (just around 20 pounds) and he’s not, but Odie is respectful of the senior female and good at coaching the male youngster who can be a bit rambunctious. While his love of food has had an unfortunate impact on his waistline, it’s an advantage when it comes to training because he will give you his full attention for even the tiniest morsel and he learns fast. We are not sure Odie got lots of walks in his previous life as his leash skills leave something to be desired, but his fosters are working with him to learn ways that make walks more fun for everyone. We’ll add more info as we get to know him better, but feel free to fill out an application if you are looking for an all around super friendly dog.

Story
What a happy little love bug! Leo, age 2, is a pocket sized golden retriever mix at 38-40 lbs. He is currently living with his doggie-saavy foster momma and young GR canine sis. He's completely house trained with no accidents at all! Leo has found the joy of playing with sprinklers and garden hoses so he may be a good pool/beach/lake buddy. He is food (CHEESE!) and toy motivated. He walks well on leash although he can get excited to say "hey" to squirrels, cats and other doggos. He is easily redirected and is working on being more Zen. Such a smart boy! Most importantly, he is a huge snuggler and will sometimes flip upside down if there is ample room (and he doesn't need much). His new family will be able to provide good exercise, continue his training and spoil him immensely. This dog will be someone's best friend for sure. Are you the lucky one? Story
We've only known this handsome Labrador Retriever for a couple of days, so we'll add updates as he reveals more of his personality. Doc came from a local shelter where he had been picked up as a stray. Everyone was surprised that nobody came to claim such a handsome, well behaved boy but that was our good luck. The shelter pegged him as approximately 6 years old and he weighs in at 60 pounds, but we'd like to see a little more weight on him. It turns out that Doc is very affectionate with grown ups but we don't have information yet about kids, cats and other dogs because he got a case of kennel cough at the shelter so we've been keeping him pretty quiet until he fully recovers. He seems to know some commands, is house trained, loves his food and his bed and shows promise for being a really great family companion. Kids, dogs, cats are unknown Adoption fee: $450 Energy: medium
