Story
I’m looking to rehome my 10-month-old Australian Cattle Dog / Australian Shepherd, Sadie. This is honestly really hard for me because she’s such a sweet, smart, and loving dog, but my work schedule just doesn’t allow me to give her the time and consistency she deserves.Sadie is full of energy and thrives when she has a purpose. She needs someone active, patient, and experienced with herding breeds who can give her structure and attention. She does have some anxiety, especially when left alone too long, and can be a little hesitant with new people or dogs at first, but with time, she warms up and becomes incredibly loyal and affectionate. She’s potty trained, knows basic commands, and loves to cuddle once she trusts you. She’s still working on leash training and can get a bit mouthy when overstimulated, so she’ll need continued guidance. There’s a $100 rehoming fee, which includes her crate, toys, food, collar, harness, and leash. I just want her to have the life she truly deserves

Story
Kingston is a rescue. He was abused by his previous owner, a man, who burned his coat with cigarettes. Since I've had him, we've done a lot of training. I can walk him without a leash, he only crosses the street on my command, and he loves to play and cuddle. It will take him some to get assimilated, but he's a great dog! He loves to be outside and never pees or poops in the house. He only barks in the house when someone comes to the door. He's truly a joy to have around!

Story
Bonnie's DOB is estimated to be 1/4/2025 and we think she is a shepsky (shepherd husky mix). We pulled Bonnie and her brother, Clyde, from a high skill shelter when they were 6 weeks old as euthanasia was imminent. As soon as we got them home is was evident they both had pneumonia with Clyde's being more severe. With medication, 4x daily vapor steam and lots of TLC they both pulled through! They have their distemper, parvo and rabies vaccinations and are thriving. Bonnie is more outgoing and full of puppy energy. She is learning to walk on leash and is a fast learner! She is also learning to go outside and making some progress in this area. She is ready for her forever home where her training can continue so she will be a well adjusted, fun to be around adult. She will be spayed once her new family is found. She needs to go to a family who is committed to her well being.

Story
Meet Pete – Your Calm and Loyal Friend! Hi there, I’m Pete, a 3-year-old, 18-pound, long-haired golden Chihuahua/Dachshund mix with a gentle soul and a calm demeanor. About Me: • Neutered, fully vaccinated, and micro-chipped—I’m ready to join your family. • Calm Personality: I have a laid-back attitude and enjoy relaxing by your side. • Affectionate: I form strong bonds with my human companions and, with a slow introduction, I can get along with other dogs. However, I would do better as an only dog. My Favorites: • Sunbathing: I love finding a sunny spot to relax and unwind. • Leisurely Walks: I enjoy calm strolls and am a well-behaved walking partner. • Crate Trained: I’m comfortable in my crate and have maintained a clean space. A Little About My Past: Having lived outdoors most of my life, a compassionate rescue brought me into a home environment. I’m eager to learn and would benefit from your guidance with potty training, especially in understanding how to signal when I need to go outside. Ideal Home: While I share a close bond with my brother Lou, we’ve found that we might be happier in separate homes. I’m seeking a loving family who appreciates a calm and loyal companion and can provide patience as I adapt to indoor living.

Story
Nanuq is a 4-year old Alaskan Malamute & Siberian Husky. Nanuq and her sister, Pepper, have started fighting with each other and need to be rehomed separately to prevent serious injury. They are both great with people but not with any other animals as they both have a strong prey drive. They are very smart and independent, and will thrive with daily activity like long walks, runs, or hikes. And Nanuq also likes to play fetch. They bark only when they want to communicate their needs. Nanuq ‘talks’. They enjoy human company and sleep through the night. They are spayed, microchipped and vaccines are current. We hope to find new homes for them where they can be ‘free’ to be themselves again without living with the anxiety and tension that something could trigger them to fight with each other. They are currently kept separated by taking turns being in their crates. Please contact Karen Hurst at 4lionkings@gmail.com
