Story
Meet Spring — the little shepherd mix who’s blooming into something truly special. Spring’s first chapter was far harsher than any puppy deserves. He was rescued just in time from Skid Row, where someone was preparing to “trade” him for drugs. But even after all that, this sweet little boy still leads with love. It’s impossible not to be moved by his spirit. Under a year old and full of heart, Spring is everything you hope for in a young dog: friendly, curious, gentle, and endlessly optimistic. He gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, and kids. He’s that rare, easy-going pup who seems to make friends everywhere he goes! Right now, Spring is in a premier training program, and he’s proving to be an absolute star student. He loves to learn, loves to please, and you can practically see his confidence growing every day. He’s going to make someone incredibly proud and happy. Spring is ready for his forever family. He is ready to spring into a home where he’s safe, loved, and celebrated for the remarkable little soul he is. If you’ve been searching for a puppy with sweetness, resilience, and a whole lot of joy packed into one adorable package, Spring is waiting for you. Come meet Spring today!

Story
Meet Asher — the sweetest captain who’s ever sailed into your heart. Life started on some rocky waters for this beautiful, 2-year-old, 47lb pittie mix, but Asher has taken every wave with grace, gratitude, and that irresistible Asher smile. And now? He’s ready to steer his little boat toward a forever home. Asher is as gorgeous as he is good. Truly. His house manners are impeccable! He doesn’t beg, doesn’t climb on furniture, and he absolutely adores his crate. He’ll even put himself to bed or take himself off for a quiet break, like the world’s most responsible roommate. He’s got these adorable bursts of zoomies in the yard, tiny fireworks of joy we like to say, and then he’s back inside to chill, happy to relax near you without being clingy. He’ll hike for miles if you’re up for it, but he’s not hyper…just the perfect mix of adventure and easy living. A superstar sidekick through and through. On leash, Asher truly shines for someone confident and present. He’s not an autopilot walker. He likes a handler who’s tuned in, someone willing to leave the phone at home and enjoy the moment with their beautiful dog. He’s incredibly responsive, eager to partner with you, and training support is available to make sure his new family understands the leash language he’s learned. Asher has been gentle and wonderful with the neighborhood kids he’s met. With animals, he’s pretty neutral. He’s definitely non-reactive with dogs in his foster home under tight supervision, and reportedly calm around cats, but for everyone’s easiest, happiest life, Asher will thrive as an only dog. He deserves to be someone’s one and only! And that photo of him in the boat? That’s exactly who he is. A dog who has weathered storms, found calm waters, and is ready to guide someone into the next beautiful chapter. The best little captain you could ever really ask for. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, soulful companion who will meet you with sweetness every single day, Asher is your boy. And….he’s ready to sail home. If you are interested in Asher, please contact Cynthia at (213) 445-4466

Story
Meet Canyon – A Shepherd with a Heart of Gold ✨ His name means strength and that’s exactly what carried him through a broken leg, surgery, and a tough start. This approximately 4 to 5-year-old German Shepherd is healed, grateful, and ready for his forever family. 💛 Do you believe in the phrase “it takes a village”? Canyon is living proof of that. He came into the South LA shelter with a fractured front leg and no time left, he had to be rescued that very day or he wouldn’t make it out. Volunteers immediately knew he was special. Even from a quiet medical room where no one could see him, his gentle spirit shined through in a little video that moved hearts to action. With no real plan but endless determination, his village came together to pull him, fund his surgery, and give him the chance he deserved. And what a gem he is! Even while in pain, Canyon melted the hearts of the surgeon and her staff, who all raved about his sweet, gentle soul. His name couldn’t be more fitting. Canyon symbolizes strength, resilience, and beauty shaped by life’s challenges. That’s exactly who he is. Today, Canyon is thriving in his medical foster home, healing beautifully, and showing so much gratitude for his second chance. He is recovering next to another Shepherd with a fracture and they are enjoying each other's company. We may never know how he was injured, but we do know this: Canyon is ready to love and be loved again. He is truly one of those rare dogs who remind us why we rescue. Now, all he needs is a forever family to call his own. Could that be you?

Story
COURTESY POST: CONTACT 818-378-8995 to adopt. Hi I’m Romeo, a 3-year-old terrier mix and 20 lbs. of snuggles. Sadly, I was abandoned when a rescue closed and really want to find my forever home. I LOVE toys and playing with other dogs! I’m good with cats too. I’m a little shy though upon first meeting and prefer no small children please, they scare me. Not to brag but I’m super smart. I’m the kind of smart that keeps you on your toes so I need a human who appreciates a dog with brains and will keep my mind as active as my body. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who is smart, eager to please and wants to curl up next to you for hours - I’m your guy! I’m house-trained, neutered, have all my shots and ready to be your best friend for life!

Story
"TINY" - SWEET YOUNG CHI-MIX WITH SPECIAL NEEDS LOOKING FOR A GREAT HOME My name is Tiny, and I’m a young, adorable Chihuahua mix . I’m ten months old and weigh 28 lbs. I love people/kids and dogs and get along with cats. Overall, I’m full of joy, and I love to prance around, lifting my front paws like a show-pony. I get a lot of compliments on my cute face, especially my “eyebrows” as well my fur which is a little bit curly. I had a rough start to my life, living on the streets as a baby in a bad neighborhood. Luckily for me, a homeless man took pity on me and tried to care for me while he was also struggling with life on the streets. When I had a seizure, he realized he didn’t have the resources to look after me and found a foster to take me in. After visiting a neurologist, I learned that I have epilepsy, and the vet put me on medication. Since then, I haven’t had a single seizure. I was also diagnosed with Vestibular Disease, which is an inner-ear condition that affects balance. However, most of the symptoms have disappeared as I’ve gotten older, and all that’s left is a sleight head-tilt, which people find adorable. So, I need to find a home where my adopters don’t mind giving me a pill in the morning and night. Other than that, I’m pretty low maintenance. I love my walks and playing with other dogs. I’m also neutered and microchipped and have had all my shots. If you think you can give me a loving home, please contact my foster Jack at the contact info below. He will also pay for my medication for the first six months in my new home. 424-625-5752 - Santamonicabased@gmail.com
